《Coffee Break》

The day after their mission, Seungcheol and Seungkwan went back to headquarters to drop off the briefcase. "He says good job for not getting killed." Seungkwan sighed as he flopped back onto the sofa.

"Has anyone seen The8?" Seungcheol asked as he held an envelope in his hand. "It's from Minhyun." He added.

"He should be in his room. Here, I'll go drop it off." Jun said. He was already on his way over there. "The8?" Jun knocked on the younger bedroom door as he waited for a response.

"What's up?" The8 asked as he opened the door, still in his pajamas.

"It's from Minhyun." Jun said, handing the envelope over as The8 hummed and ripped it open, revealing a check.

"Wow, Minhyun actually stayed true to his words." The8 said in amusement as he checked the amount. He had asked Minhyun if he could pay him via checks, in order to still support his grandmother.

"Also - I was wondering if you wanted to go get coffee with me? Seems like a good day for it." Jun asked.

"Sure, sounds fun!" The8 smiled. "Let me get dressed, and I'll meet you downstairs." The8 said before shutting the door to get changed.

"Dress warm!" Jun called out, hearing a muffled thank you from The8 before he decided to wait downstairs for the other.

The 2 decided to walk to the closet coffee shop and decided to take a small table by the window to talk and people watch.

They had only been in a group for a little over 2 months, so they really didn't know much about each other or their lives before joining the mafia.

"I still can't believe you worked on movies as a bomb expert? Did anyone ever get hurt or die?" The8 asks.

"Only a few times, I don't think anyone died ON set, though." Jun laughed.

They spent nearly 3 hours at the coffee shop before The8 invented Jun to come with him to cash in the check and drop the cash off at his grandmother's house.
