After cutting his mothers side of the family off, Mingyu went and immeditally connected with his fathers side of the family.

Which leads them to now.

And what is now you might ask?

Well, once Mingyu had gotten in touch with his father. Mr. Kim had asked to meet with Mingyu.

So, not wanting to face his father alone, Mngyu had asked Wonwoo to come with him.

"We're here." Wonwoo said as he parked his car infront of the house adress Mingyu had given him. "You ready Gyu?" He asked.

"Nope." Mingyu sighed as Wonwoo took his hand and placed a kiss on the younger palm.

"That's what makes the results all so much better." Wonwoo reassured. "Come on." He said, throwing his car door open.

Wonwoo basically dragged his boyfriend up to the door, but before he could even knock, the front door swung open.

"Mingyu?" An older man, who held a striking resemblance to Mingyu asked in shock.

"That's me." Mingyu gave a small smile. "Hi dad." He added.

"You weren't kidding about you're height." Mr. Kim said as he invited the 2 inside.

The living room is warm and welcoming, filled with old family photos and soft lighting.

"And welcome, Wonwoo. It’s good to finally meet you." Mr. Kim smiles.

"Thank you, Mr. Kim. It’s nice to be here." Wonwoo smiled polietly.

"Please, call me Dad - Only if you want to though! Uh - Can I get you both something to drink? Tea? Coffee?" Mr. Kim asked.

"Coffee would be great, thanks." Mingyu asked.

Mr. Kim heads to the kitchen. And Mingyu looks at Wonwoo a nervous smile.

"You’re doing great." Wonwoo whispered as Mingyu nodded slowly.

"I hope so. This feels… strange." Mingyu admitted.

"It’s okay to be nervous. You 2 haven't seen eachother in years." Wonwoo pointed out.

Mr. Kim returns with tea. He sets the cups on the coffee table and takes a seat.

"So, Wonwoo, Mingyu tells me you're an assasian?" Mr. Kim asked as Wonwoo looked at his boyfriend in shock.

"Oh yeah... I told him the truth about what we do." Mingyu pointed out as Wonwoo turned back to Mr. Kim.

"Oh... Okay then, yes, I am It’s been a while since I’ve been active, though.

"What was it like? If you don't mind me asking?" Mr. Kim asked.

"It had its moments—both good and bad. It’s a tough life, but it taught me a lot." Wonwoo explained.

"I’ve heard mixed things from Mingyu about his mother’s side of the family. I’m glad he’s found someone like you." Mr. Kim said.

"I’ve needed a lot of support. Wonwoo’s been incredible." Mingyu joked.

Mr. Kim looks at Wonwoo with a genuine, if somewhat emotional, expression. "You’ve made Mingyu very happy. And for that, I’m grateful." He added.

"And Mingyu has made me very happy." Wonwoo smiled as he placed a hand on his boyfriends.
