"Thanks for driving me." Haechan thanked Joshua as he got out of the car. "I'll text you when I'm done, alright?" Haechan added as Joshua nodded.
"Sounds good, just let me know." Joshua said before driving away.
"Okay, here goes nothing." Haechan sighed as he looked up at the giant house in front of him.
Mark's house.
Mark was literally an only child, and his house was bigger than Haechan's family of 5! Him, his parents, Taeyong, and Dino!
Haechan took a deep breath before knocking, taking a few steps back. In waiting for the door to open, he considered just walking away.
He hadn't seen Mark since, well, that party.
"Must not be -"
"Donghyuck?"
Haechan doesn't think he's ever spun around faster than just now. "Mark." Haechan breathes out. "It's been a while." He says.
"It has." Mark nodded. "Do you want to come inside?" Mark asked after a minute as Haechan nodded.
"Sorry, the house is a bit messy. I haven't found the motivation to clean." Mark apologized.
"It's okay." Haechan said, sitting on the couch, patting the spot next to him for Mark to sit next to him.
Mark, however, sat a good distance away from him on the couch. "Really mark?" Haechan sighed.
"Sorry, I just thought you wouldn't want me so close." Mark said as Haechan scooted closer to the older.
"I didn't come here to talk about that. I came here to see you. You've been avoiding me." Haechan said.
"Per request of your brother. And plus, what I did was awful, Donghyuck. I- I should've been there." Mark went on and on.
"Mark! I'm my own person! I'm not my brother." Haechan cut in. "And yes what happened was fucking awful, but it's nothing you had control over, and it's in the past now. All we can do is focus on the now." Haechan said as Mark nodded with tears in his eyes.
"I- I'm sorry for not reaching out, I just thought maybe, when we're ready, we'd meet again." Mark whispered.
"Well, I'm here and ready." Haechan smiled.
"I have 2 tickets to a few musical festivals in the States coming up soon. Do you want to be my plus one?" Mark asked.
"I'd love that! And perfect timing too, I just went on a 6 month temporary leave from work." Haechan cheered.
"You work?" Mark asked. "What do you do?"
"Oh, just working with my brother." Haechan smiled innocently.
