《L.Adventures⁵》

"Hello, Mother." Joshua tried to smile as his mother gave him a disapproving glance.

"I'm surprised to see you so soon." She said, spinning her wine around in circles in her cup. "Thought you would've stayed in Korea since you were obsessed with living there."

Before Joshua could even say anything, his mother grabbed him by the wrist and started dragging him off. "Come now, you can explain to all our guests where you've been all these years." She scoffed.

Dk just stood in shock as he watched the older get dragged into the large crowd of people.

Nearly 2 hours later and no one has been able to get to Joshua. It's like every time they could spot him, he was dragged off in another direction.

"I don't think Joshua likes his mom. We could poision her." Jeonghan suggested as he motioned for Seungcheol to get the poision ready.

"We're not poisoning Mrs. Hong." The8 said. "We just need to cause a distraction." The8 added as they all turned to look at Seungkwan.

"Someone get me a tall glass of red wine." Seungkwan smirked.

Joshua felt humiliated and very overwhelmed. His mother was dragging him around to every guest in the whole mansion, introducing him as her "disappointment of a son who chose to run away because he thinks we abuse him."

Which isn't true, Joshua chose to stay in Korea because his parents would use him as an object, a way to get more attention from anyone who would listen.

However, when they were making their way over to the next guest, almost as if it was in slow motion, Joshua watched Seungkwan "accidentally" dump a full glass of red whine on the front of his mother's dress.

"What is WRONG with you!" His mother shouted as she let go of Joshua's hand to try and pat the wine out of her dress.

Joshua then felt a soft hand on his back, leading him away from his mother and crowd of guests.

He stayed zoned out even after they made it to the van and began driving away from the party. His brain was also not processing any Korean spoke to him.

"Joshua, hey? Can you hear me?" Jeonghan asked, deciding to switch to English

Joshua turned to his friend and nodded slowly. "I hate her." Was all Joshua could say.

"I know you do." Jeonghan smiled softly he knew the feeling. "Don't worry, you won't have to see her again." Jeonghan added as they arrived back to the hotel.

They were going home.
