I wobble slightly on my legs as I step off of the ship, not being used to the solid land under my feet after three days on water. Kenton places his hand on the small of my back, steadying me.

It was a long, hard journey to get here, but we made it in one piece. Fyn did get sea sick a few times, but we won't talk about that.

As I take in the atmosphere around me, the breath from my lungs hitches. Gorgeous would be an understatement to describe Vaekedia. With bright green grass, fields upon fields of flowers, trees that stand tall and strong, it truly lives up to the magical aspect. Even the air here is amazing, it smells like candy.

My awe is short lived as a heavily armed group charges upon us. I look over to Kenton and Fyn in alarm as they look ahead at the group. Evelyn sent a letter weeks ago to ask them for permission for us to come here, everything should be settled.

But this- this does not look settled.

We can only stand in our spots, watching as they approach us with their weapons ready to go. As instinct, I throw my arms up, earning a disapproving look from Kenton.

"Who are you and how did you find us?" A woman with bright purple hair and a large sword in her hand calls out. She's close to us, standing maybe ten feet away, but she still shouts loudly.

Kenton takes the lead, "We come in peace, Evelyn sent us." He explains.

The woman lowers her sword, "Oh, you're the group of runts." She says.

Runts?

"Follow me then." She says, turning on her heel to walk in the opposite direction.

The three of us look at each other in confusion. I shrug, following her. Kenton and Fyn follow suit, none of us bothering to grab our bags yet.

"Um, is there any way we could possibly speak with your ruler?" Kenton asks.

The woman turns over her shoulder to grin at us, "You're looking at her."
