THIRTY | GETTING DOWN IN THE UPSIDE DOWN
The remaining members of the Vecna Must Die group do a run through before they leave the motor home and go into Eddie's trailer.
Steve is the first to go through to make sure the coast is clear and he lands on his feet.
"Ooo big man." Robin mocks.
Olivia goes through next and does a superhero landing on the mattress.
"Show off." Steve scoffs.
After Robin, Nancy, Eddie and Dustin come through, they all go outside.
"Are you sure you guys don't want me to go with you?" Olivia asks.
"I think we have enough fire power." Robin smirks.
"We need you here to take out the bats." Nancy says.
"If anything goes south I mean anything at all abort right away." Steve says. "Just draw the attention of the bats don't try to be cute or a hero or something you guys are just—"
"Decoys." Dustin finishes his sentence. "We know. You can be the hero Steve."
"Absolutely I mean look at us." Eddie looks around. "We are not superheroes."
Olivia snorts. "Speak for yourselves."
Steve nods as a form of goodbye and he, Robin and Nancy turn to leave.
"Hey Steve." Eddie calls out, Steve turns back around. "Make him pay."

Dustin, Olivia and Eddie go to work to board up the trailer. They bring guitar amps to the roof because Eddie had this insane idea to use music to distract the bats.
"She has superpowers and she's good with power tools? A woman after my own heart."
Olivia smirks at Eddie and he revs up the screwdriver.
The three step back and look at their finished work.
"Not bad." Eddie nods.
"Not bad at all." Dustin agrees. Eddie looks over at the two and smiles.
"Now for the fun part." They go into the trailer and into Eddie's room to see his guitar hanging up. "It's like... she was destined for an alternate dimension." He takes the guitar down. "What do you say? Are you two are you ready for the most metal concert in the history of the world?"
"Is that a rhetorical question?" Dustin asks.
Eddie puts the guitar on.
"Let's do it." He flips it over his shoulder.

Eddie and Dustin climb onto the roof and Olivia stays on the ground, just to make sure no bats try to sneak through.
"She's in phase three." Robin says into the walkie.
"Copy that. Initiate phase three." Dustin yells to Eddie. He plugs in amps.
"Chrissy, this is for you." Eddie snatches the pick off of his neck and strikes his first cord and the sound resonates all around them.
Olivia watches Eddie play his guitar and she can see that he's in his element. For the first time since all of this started, she can see relief and peace all across his face. This is the Eddie that she knows.
Eddie glances down and sees a smile spread across Olivia's face as she cheers him on. And he can't help but flashback to the night they first met at his Corroded Coffin set.
Dustin looks through his binoculars to see how far away the bats are.
"Eddie! T-minus 30 seconds!"
If Olivia had a video camera right now, she would totally record him right now. The way he's playing the music, the red lightening flashing behind him at all the perfect moments... It was something that she never wants to forget.
"T-minus 20!"
Eddie nods and rips through a guitar riff.
"T-minus 10!"
"Five, four, three, two, one! Let's go!"
Eddie ends the song and the bats show up at the door. While the guys are getting off the roof, Olivia ignites her hands and claps them together throwing a wave of fire, taking out the first row of bats.
They hurry behind the barbed wire fence and go in the house.
"Dude..." Dustin looks at his friend. "Most. Metal. Ever!" The three hop around and scream in excitement.

The three stand back to back to each other, hearing the bats throw themselves at the house, trying to find a way in. They hope that Nancy, Steve and Robin kill Vecna before they find an opening.
The bats smash themselves against the walls before it slows down.
"They must be on the roof." Eddie looks up. They follow the sound of bat claws.
"They can't get through there can they?" Dustin looks at the ceiling.
A couple of them break through the vent causing a jump scare and Dustin and Eddie stab them with their spears.
Since they can't get through the vent, they start cracking the walls.
"That's not gonna hold." Dustin panics.
"Let's go." Eddie says. They leave the spot and go back to the gate. Dustin and Olivia are the first to climb through.
Eddie grabs the rope and climbs a little bit.
"Eddie come on!" Dustin yells. "Eddie you're so close let's go!"
Eddie stops and looks over his shoulder.
"Eddie... what are you doing?" Olivia asks. He jumps back down. "No, no, no. You get your ass up here Munson!"
Eddie screams and cuts rope and tosses the mattress aside.
"Stop!" Dustin hold his head. "What are you doing?!"
