THREE | MEET DART
"You're Harrington right?" Billy asks in the gym while they play basketball. "I heard you used to run this school. They used to call you King Steve. Then you turned into a little bitch."
"Nice bruise Hargrove." Steve taunts. "I heard Olivia gave you that mark. She's got one hell of a temper."
"How about you just worry about yourself Harrington?" Billy knocks him over and steals the ball and does a lay up. Steve leaves with Nancy and Billy continues to dominate the game.
It bothers Billy that Steve taunts him about Olivia. Olivia shouldn't even be on his mind. When he was driving her home, he wasn't bothered that the two of them danced at the party. But now that she's mad at him, that's all he can think about. Besides, Steve has a girlfriend. He shouldn't be worried about Olivia. Olivia is his problem and his problem only.

Olivia makes her way to the cafeteria and people are still whispering about her and Billy. She doesn't understand why they just can't leave it and her alone. That's one of the many things that she hates about high school, everyone is so bored with their own lives that they blow up the smallest things and make it a big deal.
She sees Nancy wave her over to her table, but she hears static coming from her bag. She reaches inside and pulls out her walkie talkie.
Since that day last year, the boys thought it would be a good idea to give Olivia a walkie just in case they needed something like a ride or money for food. She quickly turns around and goes back into the hallway.
"Olivia this is Dustin do you copy?"
"Olivia here. What's up D? Over."
"I need you to come to the AV Room. Over."
"Is something wrong? Over."
"Just come. Over and out." Olivia and stuffs the walkie back in her bag.
Olivia happily leaves the high school and everyone in it to go around the corner to the middle school. She goes inside, checks in at the front desk and goes straight to the AV room. There's a young redhead girl sitting outside the room.
"Um... hi." Olivia says first. "Apparently I'm supposed to meet Dustin here. Is he in there?"
"The guys didn't get here yet." She says.
"Aren't you the girl that got in the car with Billy?" She nods.
"I'm his step-sister, Max."
"I'm Olivia. Nice to meet you." The two shake hands. "I heard your brother was being a douche to you about being late." She tucks some hair behind her ear.
"Yeah. He does that."
"Listen, if he's ever being his usual douchey self and leaves you behind, let me know and I'll give you a ride home."
