TWENTY-FIVE | I JUST THINK IT'S FUNNY THAT...
"Not to be a creep or anything, but can I sit in the car this time?" Robin asks from the front seat. "Because this visit is going to royally suck."
"It'll be fine. Don't worry." Nancy reassures.
"I can't stand to see those dull eyes of Eddie's break again." Robin looks out the window.
"How do you think I feel?" Olivia snaps from the seat behind Nancy. "You think seeing is eyes break is hard for you? For a guy you just met when I've known Eddie—" She stops herself. "You're not the only one who can't stand to see it."
"At least he can drink himself into feeling better." Steve eats a Pringle in the trunk with Dustin.
"That's what my mom does." Max says.
"That's what I used to do." Olivia adds.
"Maybe we should give it a trial run." Robin suggests. "Hey Eddie let's give you the good news first this time around. We got you some Dustin approved junk food and the 6 pack you requsested and we found Vecna. But the bad news is that he's in that other darker, scarier dimension and the gate's closed so now we can't get to him. We're completely shut off so you're screwed."
"Maybe we don't put it like that." Lucas says.
"We're one step closer to finding Vecna." Nancy corrects. "That's the most important thing."
"See Robin? Just be positive, it makes a difference." Steve says.
"Oh shit." Robin says out loud.
The cops are swarmed at Reefer Rick's, and Olivia panics thinking they got him.
They get out of the car and get closer to the sight to see if they can see anything.
"There was a homicide here at the lake." Chief Powell reports. "Officer Callahan and myself came here on the scene first and we made our way to the shore of Lover's Lake. We found the victim Patrick McKinney and we have identified a person of interest." He holds up a picture. "Eddie Munson."
Olivia's heart races and she steps up to bombard Chief Powell and stop the broadcast, but someone stops her.
She turns around to see that Nancy grabbed her arm.
