Kemi's POV

I stared at the mail from my gmail in total shock and disbelief. I couldn't help but scream in excitement .Ronke who sat next to me crocheting a cap peered her eyes to my phone, to see what the whole excitement was all about.

"Is a lie!" She screamed taking the phone away from me, while i laughed whole heartedly. Mr.Kehinde. A very popular business tycoon in lagos. They  were having a family reunion in three days and his daughter had just sent  me a mail, asking that i to cater for the event.

"Oh my God this is so real." Ronke cried

"Baby it's so real." i screamed hugging her tight, as we jumped like two primary school kids .

***

Ronke and i had met during my Nysc. We had been posted to serve in Abuja and ever since. Our friendship knew no bounds. We cried, laughed, supported each other. She was more than a friend.

A sister.

She was the fashionista, while i the caterer.

Time flew like rockets as my whole day was occupied with various activities. Ronke had been a big support system. She helped me in shopping and planning for the event . Since it was a big event, we had to call our close friends for support, to make work easier. This was a major event and i wasn't ready to blow things up.

The four of us sat in the kitchen wrapping samosas to refrigerate against the next day.

"I heard his son is back from the states." Bisola, my next door neighbor said.

"Really!" I replied. My attention still focused on the samosa i was wrapping.

"Funny enough, he is still a bachelor "Ronke added.

"Maybe he is gay." Juliet, a friend from church retorted.

"No, he is straight. He flaunts this model all the time on his Instagram page. " Bisola replied.

"You guys are current o. How comes you no everything?" I inquired.

"Apart from baking cakes, planning events and going for blind dates. What else do you care about?" Came Ronke, making everyone but me roar in laughter.I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Whatever."

Victor's POV

I was pissed. I paced around, throwing things here and there. My phone beeped and i knew it was her. Without reading the message, i call her. She doesn't pick till the second ring.

"Baby." Came her annoying sweet tone.

"Don't baby me Sharon. Dont!" I cut in cursing under my breadth.

"Something came up. My manager needs me for a shoot." She responded almost in whispers.

"You never keep up to your promises that's all i can say."  I replied trying to reduce my rising temper .

"Baby, just calm down. You no i love you dearly." she pleaded.

"No you love your job." I retorted hanging up.
