Kemi's POV

I woke up 5am feeling so exhausted and week. The night before had been a tedious one. I tried to make sure i was set for the occasion. Ronke had to plead with me to take some sleep as i had overworked myself. My head ached badly and my eyes still held sleep. I shrugged removing the covers from my body.

Ronke and the other girls were still fast asleep. They had been of great support and made things much easier. Not wanting to wake them up, i tiptoed out of the room and headed to the kitchen. I had one or two things to attend to, before i left for the event.

I had ordered an uber, which would come  pick me exactly ten o'clock. I was told the reunion starts 12pm. The aim was to be there earlier .

"Olowa kemi." Ronke called out walking into the kitchen.

"Oh! you're up?" I questioned directing my gaze to hers. Her hair was in a complete mess and she had sleep marks on her face. I couldn't help but laugh. "Little miss Ronke, that wakes up looking like a mess all the time."  I teased

"Little miss Kemi, that tiptoes out of the room all the time." She teased back, making me laugh harder.

"You know  we have chops to fry and rice to cook. Yet you didn't bother waking us up." She complained.

"You guys have been so supportive. You needed all the rest." I reasoned.

"No time to talk. Lets start, so you won't be late." She queried.

We started with the rice and decided to fry the chops last. Ronke played some music while she worked, which actually made the other girls wake up.

"Ronke, i told you that music will wake them up." I complained after Bisola worked in yawning.

"I cant work without music. It makes things easier." She chipped.

"Good morning babes." Bisola greeted heading to the fridge to drink some water.

"Hope you slept well. What of Juliet?" I questioned.

"You knowo that one na. She wants to bind and cast before she comes out." Bisola replied.

"That girl prays like my mother." Ronke replied making everyone laugh.

"I heard you all." Came Juliet who just  walked in stretching. She hugged each of us, yawning a good morning which we all reciprocated.

Exactly 9am. We were done and had arranged the chops in takeout's and the rice and peppered meat in coolers.I  took my bath and sat on my bed, pondering on what to wear.

"Kemi always has issues, on what to wear." Came Ronke rolling her eyes.

"Wear that dress, you wore for your last birthday." Bisola suggested.

"Have you forgotten? Bumi came here a month ago." I reminded her feigning annoyance. Bumi was my immediate younger sister. A nursing student in Ahmadu bello university. She was the baby of the house and always ensured she rank sacked my clothes anytime she came visiting.

Victor's POV

The reunion party is today. The house was full of activities. More relatives trooped in, making the whole place filled with giggling kids. My grandfather who had married five wives was now a grand father to dozens of children. They would run and tap his feet for blessings. Usually he will kiss his palms and touch their head praying for them, which they usually replied too running off.
