Before you read further. This chapter is highly addictive 🙃.

I kept  glancing over  my wristwatch as minutes  passed by.

Maybe he wouldn't come. What was I even thinking?

And what if, I was entirely wrong?

I sighed adjusting the silk dress I had worn. The dress was decent, but elegant. The most beautiful piece in my wardrobe. I swiped over my phone camera trying to take a quick selfie of myself.

The restaurant was unusually quite this night with few couples dining. But the aesthetics? A mad one.

One of the best around lekki.

"You look astonishing." I heard a voice compliment and I glanced up already conscious of the fact, it couldn't be my expectatant guest.

His voice held no chill like I would be used too.

"Thank you." I smiled at the average height man standing just some inches away. He was dressed in a white suit , his beards way too full to contain his face. Overall, he was hairy and would pass for handsome.

"Would you mind?" He pointed to the seat next to mine and I almost choked on my drink when my expectatant guest walked in unexpected.

"Well, sorry you can't." I replied hoping he would leave before Victor walks to our direction. But the man wouldn't budge.

"Why will an angel as beautiful as you're, be seated alone?" He was smiling broadly.

"She is not alone," A familiar voice joined in "Nevertheless, thank you for keeping her company."

I would have laughed at my admirer as I watched his face change into a wounded puppy. But no, my gaze was fixated on one particular man.

Victor adetayo. Just few months ago  and he was looking so ravishing and handsome.

"Welcome." The man gestured with a frown and left without sparing us a backward glance.
I wanted to laugh so hard. But it would call for unnecessary attention.

Victor pulled a seat in front of mine staring at me till his gaze lingered for a while on my silk gown.

"Happy birthday." His gaze was directed back to my face and I couldn't hide my blush."Your dress is beautiful ."

"Thank you."  I was acting like a shy kid.

"You haven't placed an order." He raised a brow acting serious. I couldn't ease away my eyes from his body.

"I was waiting for you." I wasn't  meaning to sound this seductive. But my tone gave me away.  He seamed to have  understood my message. His eyes lingered on my face for a while.

He smiled a little and I couldn't control myself any further. Was it him doing everything on purpose or it was just my vivid imaginations?

The waiter arrived and we placed our orders.  While we waited,  I felt a bit unease that his phone had stolen away his attention. He kept swiping on it without sparing me another glance. I had seen his outfit when he arrived. But  I was quite fascinated on his facials. Taking a closer look, i observed it was a beautiful outfit.

Black pants with a very lovely Versace shirt. His wrist was covered with an expensive wrist watch and my eyes lingured On it trying to guess the brand.

"Richard lilles." His tone revived my thoughts and I glanced up. But he had glanced my way.  So how did he guess my thoughts about his wristwatch right?

I was about to give a reply, when the waiter arrived placing our order to the table. The meal smelled so delicious and I couldn't contain my excitement. I have been craving a good Italian meal for some time.
