Chapter Eighteen

“That dress is armor?” The seneschal asks as he leads me out of the throne room.
“Yes, it is made out of dragon skin.” I say quietly as he leads us to the bath door, he opens the door with a smile, I walk inside. The seneschal follows us in and rings the bell, a maid opens the door and sees us and runs back the way she came. A few minutes later maids are streaming into the room with sheets and my dress, the ones with my dress pull me away from them as the ones with the sheets hold them up to block the view. I am undressed and my dress is put back on me, clean and white again, I smile down at it as the sheets fall and the maids leave.
“I am surprised you still want to wear that since I am the one who had it made for you.” Cu Chulainn says to me, I look over at him.
“You didn’t have this made for me. A better version of you did.” I say as I walk to the open door and make my way back to the throne room. The next two hundred years go by quietly, I do not get anymore humans alerting me to attacks from creatures. Cu Chulainn is constantly shadowing me, I find his presence increasingly annoying. I feel excitement build in me at the thought of the battle ahead of me.
“Satan requests your presence at the castle.” Cu Chulainn says to me as I watch the last of the petitioners walk out of the room, he walks around in front of me and offers his arm to me. I stand and take his arm, we vanish the throne room of the Carnage’s Gods appears around us, Satan sits in the large throne with a smirk as he watches me. I feel someone behind me as Cu Chulainn steps away from me, arms wrap around my waist as rage takes over me.
“I missed you, love.” Lucifer whispers into my ear as he pulls me against him.
“I only miss the feeling of my blade sinking into your skin, Lucifer.” I say as anger rages through me, I feel him kiss my neck as my eyes glow with hatred.
“We can play with each other later.” He whispers in my ear.
“Now that you have met Lucifer again, I wanted to let you know the Fomorian war is not happening because you have been so good for the last two hundred years.” Satan says with a grin.
“I would love to know how you got her to behave that long.” Lucifer says as he kisses my neck again.
“I have her son.” Satan says with a smile.
“I didn’t know she had a child.” Lucifer says to him.
“Not by blood, by bond.” Satan says with a small laugh. “Would you like to see him, Morrigan?” Satan asks me.
“Yes, please.” I say quietly as I finish reigning in my anger, close my eyes.
“Behave, now is not the time to attack.”
Yes, Creation.
I feel Lucifer’s hands moving, I open my eyes and I glare at Satan. “Lucifer, we do not dishonor the Goddess.” He says to him and I feel the hands stop.
“That takes all the fun out of this, I already had her once.” Lucifer says with a laugh, I feel my insides cringe at the memory.
“I did not know that.” Cu Chulainn says with a frown.
“She puts up a good fight, until you give her enough pain.” Lucifer says to him, I see anger in Cu Chulainn’s eyes. I hear footsteps enter the room behind us, Beelzebub escorts Myrddin over by Satan. Myrddin looks at me with a smile, I smile at him.
“I see Lucifer is back.” Myrddin says as he glares at Lucifer behind me.
“How does the boy know me?” Lucifer asks me.
“I gave him my memories.” I say quietly.
“Enjoy all the memories of me?” Lucifer asks him as his grip tightens around me.
“No, just the one where I watched you die.” Myrddin says as he glares at him, Satan laughs.
“Morrigan, I must say your son has been an enjoyable addition to the castle. I enjoy talking to him.” Satan says as he smiles at me. “He has also been quite a fountain of knowledge.” He says as he looks over at Myrddin.
“How so?” I ask him.
“I got to see all his memories and yours. That he did not give willingly, but it was very informative.” Satan says with a smile. “As in if we kill Arthur, all the Gods go back to not remembering all past lives when they reincarnate.” He says as he watches me.
“All I would have to do is imbue the sword in him again.” I say angrily.
“Not if we destroyed the body, the sword would no longer exist.” Satan says as he watches me. “I wonder, what would Emnos turn into if we did that?” He asks me, fear shoots through me as I think of Emnos going back to the way he was. “Interesting reaction, wouldn’t you agree, Lucifer?” Satan asks him.
“I love the smell of her fear.” Lucifer says as he kisses my neck.
“Why would you want to do that?” I ask him quietly.
“Cu Chulainn would benefit from it, we could kill you and you would forget all the things that make you dislike him. You would also join us because he is with us.” Satan says with a grin, I look over at Cu Chulainn who shows me no emotion. “Though there is something that could keep us from doing all of that.” Satan says as he watches me, I look back to him.
“What is it?” I ask him.
“Convince all your Gods to join us.” He says with a smile, I close my eyes.
“They have Arthur, do as he say. Vhaanth has already gotten the Gods to agree.”
“I will do it.” I say quietly, as I open my eyes.
“Call them, tell them you recognize me as your leader which makes me their leader.” Satan says as he watches me, I send out the call to all the Gods. I watch as they appear in the throne room, Lucifer backs away from me as I turn to them. Once all the Gods are assembled, I get their attention away from Lucifer who they are glaring at.
“I recognize Satan as my leader, he is the stronger God. You should do the same.” I say to them as I restrain the anger inside me, they nod to me. I look over at Satan, and he grins at me.
“You may all go home now.” He says to them and they vanish, he stands up and walks over to me looking down at me. “Since you have been so well behaved, I am returning Myrddin to you. But I am also sending Lucifer with you.” He says with a smile.
“I prefer Lucifer stays here.” I say quietly as I control the fear in me. “Cu Chulainn will be there to make sure I do as you say.” I say with a smile.
“Actually, he will not, he is staying here.” Satan says with a grin. “All the rules I gave you still stand, follow them.” He says as he walks back to the throne and sits back down, Beelzebub lets go of Myrddin. Myrddin walks over to me and takes my hand, I feel Lucifer grab me and we vanish. The throne room appears around us; the seneschal walks over to us.
“Who are these men, and where is Cu Chulainn?” He asks me.
“Myrddin, my son. Lucifer, will be taking Cu Chulainn’s place.” I say to him and I see fear in his eyes. “Do you need me for anything, seneschal?” I ask him quietly and he shakes his head, I pull out of Lucifer’s grasp and walk with Myrddin out of the room, I feel Lucifer follow us.
“Good to see you again, Morrigan.” Myrddin says to me.
“Same to you, Myrddin.” I say quietly. “You should leave this place.” I whisper.
“Why?” He whispers to me.
“It is not safe for you.” I whisper back as we pick up pace.
“I will not leave you with him.” He whispers back to me.
“Then I will have to force you.” I say to him as I stop, he vanishes to Vhaanth’s room and I lock him out of the barrier.
“Alone at last.” I hear Lucifer say and I look at him to see his silver eyes glowing, I vanish the arena appears around me. My swords appear in my hands as I watch him appear and he grins at me. “You are not allowed to kill me, love.” He says as he watches me.
“I cannot kill you, but I can fight you.” I say to him, and he laughs as I run towards him his rapier appears in his hands. We fight in an endless dance, as long as I do this I am not in danger, I can keep this up forever until it is time to kill him.
I feel someone appear in the arena, I jump away from Lucifer to see Satan watching us, I raise the sword as the magic warns me blocking Lucifer’s attack, he looks over to see Satan and backs away from me as Satan walks over to us.
“It is interesting watching you fight, Morrigan.” Satan says as he stops in front of us. “Though it seems your heart is not in it, you are only doing this to waste time.” He says with a grin.
“Why would she want to waste time? She has no concept of it.” Lucifer asks him with a frown.
“Because of you, as long as you two are locked in an endless battle. She knows you cannot do anything else, quite brilliant.” Satan says with a laugh. “I want to fight you, this time put your heart into it.” Satan says to me as a large sword appears in his hand, Lucifer vanishes to the side of the arena to watch us. I back out of reach of the sword as I watch his movements, he grins at me as the sword vanishes out of his hands, I feel the magic warn me I raise the left sword blocking the attack. I feel the impact as I watch him, he laughs as the sword appears in his hands again. He runs towards me raising the sword, I go into the dance as I fight him, I smack him with the sword every time I could kill him, after a while he seems to get angrier. He comes after me like it is no longer a game to him, I smack him with the sword multiple times as I dodge the swing of the sword, his eyes glow as he watches me slide across the ground away from the heavy strike of his sword onto the ground.
Magic sends me a warning from multiple directions, I wait until the moment the strikes come and I spin out of it, as I watch the blades all hit the same spot. I look up at him with a smile, as I see rage take control of him, I watch as his blue eyes turn red darkness gathers around him making the arena go dark, skeleton soldiers appear out of the darkness around him with swords and shields. His face goes from rage to a demented grin, I see fangs grow in his mouth as he watches me, Baobhan appear out of the darkness around him next to bare their fangs at me.
“Come to me, if you want to fight.” I say quietly, I see him hold up an arm claws have grown at the ends of his finger tips, the soldiers and Baobhan run to me. I enter into the dance avoiding the swords and fangs, I kill the soldiers first with fire as I dodge their attacks, three of the Baobhan try to grab at me, I decapitate one run another through the heart, and slice the third in half. I feel the magic warn me, I glance back to see Satan grabbing for me with the claws, I change flying above him to change again to come back down on top of him, I slap him across the face with one sword as I slice another Baobhan in half. I kill the other Baobhan will avoiding his claws, I turn to him when the last one dies, I wait until he is almost has his claws within reach I dodge and slap him with the sword again three times, I feel magical power gather in him Lucifer appears in front of him and touches his head. Satan returns to normal and looks over at me with a strange look.
“Good fight, Morrigan. Seems I need to train more in melee.” Satan says to me as he smiles. “You two need to spend less time in the arena. That is an order, Morrigan.” Satan says to me as he vanishes. Lucifer walks to me with anger in his eyes and grabs me, we vanish and my room appears around me.
“Walking a dangerous path, Morrigan.” Lucifer says as he glares at me.
“He is the one who wanted to fight.” I say quietly.
“He almost killed you until I stopped him, Satan is very hard to anger and somehow you managed it in just one fight. Though it may have something to do with all the times you slapped him with the sword.” He says with a frown.
“Lucifer are you showing concern?” I ask him as I watch him, he glares at me.
“No, I am not. If he kills you the Gods might rebel.” He says as he crosses his arms.
“That makes sense. I am going to sleep, do not get on my bed.” I say to him and he grins at me, I walk past him and lay down on the bed, I roll over to look out the balcony door as I close my eyes and go to sleep.
I wake up to the feeling of an arm laying across me, I open my eyes to see the balcony. “Lucifer, I said do not get on my bed.” I say quietly, I feel him move behind me.
“When have I ever listened to you?” He whispers in my ear, I push his arm off me and start to sit up, he grabs me and pulls me back down on the bed. “I did not say you could get up.” He whispers in my ear.
“I will break one of Satan’s rules just to get you off me.” I say quietly.
“Really? Which one would that be?” He asks me, I feel him bite my neck.
“It would be the one that says I cannot use magic to stop someone from touching me.” I say as I kill the anger inside me.
“Satan has very severe punishments for someone who breaks a rule.” He whispers in my ear.
“This would be worth it.” I say with a smile, he lets go of me and I sit up, I stand up and walk over to the wardrobe grabbing my brush out of the back of it.
“Why is it that you have never wanted me?” Lucifer asks me as I brush my hair.
“Because I do not like you.” I say as I finish brushing my hair.
“Why?” He asks me.
“You try to control through fear, and your ego.” I say as I replace the brush and vanish, the throne room appears around me, I walk over to the throne and sit down. The seneschal comes over to me as Lucifer appears in front of me with a frown on his face. “How long have I been gone?” I ask the seneschal.
“Ten years.” He says to me, I look up at him to see that he looks older. “What were you doing?” He asks me.
“Protecting myself in the arena.” I say to him, he gives me a sad smile.
“Protecting yourself from what?” Lucifer asks me.
“You.” I say as I glare at him, and he laughs.
“Morrigan, did you waste all that time fighting me because you don’t want me in between your legs again?” He asks me with a grin.
“Why else would I want to spend that much time with you?” I ask him angrily.
“Well, Satan has banned you from it. What are you going to do now?” Lucifer asks me as he watches me.
“I will find something, even if it means sleeping in the throne, again.” I say quietly as I look over at the seneschal. “Do you have anything for me to do?” I ask him to distract him from glaring at Lucifer, he looks at me.
“Petitions, that is all Goddess Morrigan. How long do you have to suffer his company?” He asks me.
“I do not know, go get them.” I say to him as I look back at Lucifer, who is grinning at me. I look over his head at the clouds passing by in the window, I close my eyes.
When can I attack?
“When the other Gods return.”
How much longer?
“Three hundred forty years.”
I believe I can kill them both.
“And fight the War after?”
I open my eyes and glare at the clouds, I hear footsteps I look over to see the seneschal escorting humans in. After all the complaints are heard and I help them with their problems, a group step forward. I can already tell what it is going to be.
“What town?” I ask them as I stand up.
“Hawthorne.” The man in front says to me, I vanish the town appears around me. I see bodies all over the ground heading towards the main road, it looks like they were trying to escape. I feel Lucifer appear behind me as I kneel down to examine a body, I see evidence of the person being shredded by sharp fangs.
“The hounds.” Lucifer says as he leans over me.
“I thought you Gods were supposed to have control over these creatures.” I say angrily.
“Carnage controls them, not us.” He says to me, as I stand up. “Sometimes the blood lust gets too great and they do not listen.” He adds, I send out a pulse of magic to look for them. They are in the woods waiting, I look back at Lucifer.
“You can stay here.” I say to him with a glare, I walk towards the forest as my swords appear, I hear him following me.
“These are stronger than ones you have fought before.” He says to me.
“I do not want your help.” I say angrily.
“Why?” He asks me.
“It is my job to do this, it is your job to make my job harder.” I say angrily as I turn to glare at him.
“It seems you are angry with me.” He says with a grin.
“Yes, I am angry with you, the horde that was set loose after I killed you killed three Gods.” I say to him.
“I heard you fought four days killing all of them.” He says with a smile.
“I do not know how long it was.” I say quietly.
“Why did you let me stab your shoulder?” He asks me with a frown.
“Because it was the only way I could end the fight quickly, I was using too much power and I was fighting you alone at that point. I saw an opening but I knew I had to suffer pain to do it, and I took it.” I say as I watch him.
“I find it interesting that you seem to run towards danger.” He says as he lifts an eyebrow with a grin.
“I don’t run towards it, it finds me.” I say angrily.
“Hounds.” He says as he motions towards the forest.
“If they are left alive, they will kill others.” I say with a glare.
“I know you said you didn’t want help, but is information help?” He asks me as his grin widens.
“I already know it is hounds, what information could you give me at this point?” I ask him angrily.
“Is it help or not?” He asks me with a laugh, I glare at him and turn back to the forest. I walk into it alone; he does not follow I see wooden vines laying on the ground everywhere I frown as I follow it towards where I sensed the hounds. I feel him appear beside me, I glare over at him before looking back down at the vines. “See, I have a problem. I am not allowed to let you die, and you are walking into a death situation without all the information. So, I need an answer.” He says to me quietly.
“You Gods are irritating in the worst sense.” I say angrily, as I glare up at him, I feel the vines shift under my feet.
“I was talking quietly for a reason.” He says with a grin down at me as I feel the vines wrap around my legs, I hack away at them to find they are replaced by new vines. I feel vines grab my arms and hold them to my body as move vines wrap around me. “Do you want help now?” He asks me with a smirk, I glare at him as I try to reach for my magic but it pulls away from me.
“You are going to enjoy it if I say I need help, aren’t you?” I ask him and he nods with a laugh. I try to move the swords to chop at the vines but I cannot move, I look at him annoyed as I feel it wrapping around my neck. “Help me, Lucifer.” I say angrily.
“Say please, and nicely.” He says with a wink, I glare at him as I feel it working its way up my face.
“Please, Lucifer help me.” I say with a forced smile, he frowns at me.
“You are not great at fake smiles.” He says quietly as he watches me.
“Lucifer!” I yell angrily at him as it starts growing higher on my face, he smiles at me and I feel heat as he burns it away, once I am free I look up at him with a frown. “Why is it not attacking you?” I ask him.
“Because it senses I was created by the same thing, you on the other hand were not.” He says with a grin. “There is a way to get close to it without it sensing you, but you may not like it.” He says with a laugh.
“What is it?” I ask annoyed.
“Cuddles?” He asks me as he holds out his arms, I frown at him as I take a step back.
“What the hell are you attempting?” I ask him and he laughs.
“If I walk behind, with my arms around you it will confuse the creature, making it think I am the only one here. Until it can see us of course.” He says with a grin.
“Fine, but keep your hands in the appropriate places.” I say quietly.
“Your whole body is an appropriate place for my hands.” He says with a wink, I glare at him, he disappears and I feel his arms wrap around me.
“Behave, Lucifer.” I say to him and he laughs as he pulls me to him.
“I have been waiting for the moment you willingly let me do this.” He whispers in my ear as I feel his arm cross around my chest.
“Why are your arms there?” I ask him.
“To block your heart, it can see it.” He whispers as he kisses my neck, I sigh in frustration and start walking following the vines, it is difficult to walk this way but we eventually make it to a grove with a large hollow stump. The vines grow from the stump, I send out a pulse to find the hounds, to find they are all around us in the forest watching. A woman with long wavy brown hair steps out of the stump her brown eyes focus on us immediately, I notice her legs are made out of the vines when she lifts the dress slightly to step over the entrance of the stump. “She controls the hounds.” He whispers in my ear; she walks towards us watching us with a curious smile. “Want my help, love?” He whispers in my ear as he kisses my neck.
“How difficult could she be?” I ask him and he laughs.
“She is one of the most powerful creatures Carnage has made that is not a God.” He says to me as I feel his arms leave me as he backs away. “I think I may watch first.” He says from further away, I turn to glare at him when pain shoots through my chest. I look back at her to see her brown eyes in front of me with the same curious smile, I raise a sword to swing at her she grabs my wrist faster than I could react.
“Who are you?” She whispers to me as she cocks her head at me.
“Goddess of War.” I say to her and she grins at me, I swing my other hand out behind me to cut into her, I feel something grab my wrist tightening up until pain shoots through my wrist.
“I watched her kill my kind, so long ago.” She whispers to me. “Now I get to kill her.” She whispers as she leans closer to me.
“I cannot allow you to, Carnage wants her alive.” Lucifer says to her, she looks at him.
“Who are you?” She whispers to him.
“Lucifer Sin of Pride.” He says to her, she lets go of me and backs away.
“Carnage’s child of pride, I did not know.” She whispers to him as she smiles up at him, I glare at the two of them smiling at each other, I swing the sword and watch her head bounce away.
“Really going to stop and chat?” I ask him angrily as he looks at me in shock.
“Why did you do that? She wasn’t going to kill you.” He asks me with a frown.
“I kill creatures, she is a creature.” I say angrily as I feel the hounds closing in, I turn to the forest I hear growling before I see them emerge from the bushes. “Are you going to help me with them now?” I ask him.
“I prefer to watch you struggle first.” He says with a laugh as I feel him vanish, I shoot fire at the hound, it hits it and dissolves on the shaggy green fur. I back away from them as I move my body to get ready for the first attack, the magic warns me of attacks from all around me. I glance around me to find I am surrounded by them; I hear one them change pitch in growl as it leaps I turn to the one who is attacking slicing through it. I attack as they do, slicing through each one the rest seem to hesitate. “They are talking to each other; they are deciding the best way to attack to kill you.” I hear Lucifer say, then all of them pounce at the same time I cut through three of them before they finish the journey through the air towards me, I feel fangs cutting through my arms, waist, legs, and neck. Lucifer appears in front of me with a grin on his face as he watches.
“Lucifer, help me.” I growl at him as I try to lift my arms to attack but the fangs sink in deeper I can feel them pulling back.
“Say please, love.” He says with a wink.
“Please help me, Lucifer.” I say angrily, the rapier appears in his hand and he starts chopping through them, they ignore him biting harder into me as he kills them. Once they are all dead he grins at me, I glare at him, before looking down at all the bites on me. I feel him grab me and pull me to him and we vanish, my room appears around me. He lets go of me and leans against the wall to watch me. “Not going to heal me?” I ask him angrily.
“We do not have that ability.” He says with a laugh, I call out to Vhaanth, he appears over by the door and looks at me with concern.
“What the hell happened to you?” He asks me with a frown as he comes over to me.
“She was a dog’s bone, until I saved her.” Lucifer says with a grin as he watches me, Vhaanth looks back at him as I feel his magic healing the wounds.
“Great he is back, as if we don’t have enough problems. Where is Cu Chulainn?” Vhaanth asks me.
“He was replaced with Lucifer.” I say to him as I feel the magic leave me. “Do you know where Arthur is?” I ask him and he shakes his head. “Thank you, Vhaanth.” I say to him he nods and vanishes. Lucifer walks over to me, I glare up at him he pushes me and I fall back on the bed, I slides across the bed to other side to fall off. He grabs my leg before I can, dragging me back to him. “Lucifer, let go of me.” I say angrily.
“Why?” He asks with a grin as he grabs my other leg, I squeeze them together glaring at him. He starts pulling them apart, I fight against it his fingers dig into my legs causing pain to shoot through them, I feel pain from magic sweep through me. I gasp for air as the pain increases and I feel my legs spread, I punch him in the face and he grins at me as he increases the pain.
“Lucifer, please.” I whisper through clenched teeth, I push against his chest and the pain increases, I hear someone screaming faintly. Suddenly everything stops, I watch Lucifer be grabbed by someone I turn my head as I feel my legs collapse to the bed to see Cu Chulainn punching Lucifer. My senses start coming back to me slowly as I watch them, I slide myself off the bed and use the wardrobe to help me stand and I grab Cu Chulainn. He stops and looks back at me, I feel my legs collapse under me. “Why are you protecting me? You are not mine.” I say as I lean back on the wardrobe.
“Seems someone still loves you.” Lucifer says with a laugh as he punches Cu Chulainn back, he lands on top of me. I watch him pick up Cu Chulainn, they start fighting each other throwing punches at each other, I feel someone appear in the room, I look over to see Satan watching them with a glare on his face.
“What the hell is going on?” Satan yells angrily at them, they stop and let go of each other facing him and bows.
“Lucifer was attempting to dishonor her.” Cu Chulainn says quietly, Satan looks down at me.
“Is that true?” He asks me with a glare.
“Why does it matter?” I ask him angrily. “Get out of my room, and take your dog!” I yell angrily at him, I use the wardrobe to stand up still feeling lightheaded and dizzy from the pain. “Get out.” I say to him as I step towards the bed and dizziness takes over and I fall onto it. I feel someone roll me over, I look up into blue eyes, he frowns down at me as I feel his magic probe me.
“Lucifer why did you inflict pain?” Satan asks him as he stares into my eyes.
“She was fighting me.” Lucifer says to him.
“Because of what you were doing.” Cu Chulainn says angrily.
“Go away.” I say to him as I attempt to glare at him but I know it coming out wrong.
“She gets that way after being subjected to pain.” Cu Chulainn says quietly.
“Jump off the closest cliff, Cu Chulainn.” I say angrily as I try to lift my head to look at him but dizziness takes over and my head falls back to the bed.
“Interesting reaction to pain, she says amusing things.” Satan says as he smiles down at me.
“You are an ass.” I say to him and he laughs.
“I think I am going to keep you at the castle.” Satan says to me, I slap him, he frowns at me. “She does that a lot too?” He asks Cu Chulainn.
“She tried to chop Emnos’ head off with her good hand after she killed Lucifer, so yes.” Cu Chulainn says with a small laugh, Satan grins down at me, and I feel us vanish I close my eyes as the dizziness gets worse. I feel someone lift me up, I open my eyes to see blue eyes looking down at me.
“Dhuna?” I ask him with a frown.
“Lets get her some where she can rest.” I hear someone say, I close my eyes and fall asleep.
I open my eyes as I sit up, pain shoots through my head and I grab it with both hands as I close my eyes. “Best if you do not move.” I hear someone say, I open my eyes and look over to see Satan, I slide across the bed away from him as I look around the room.
“Why am I here?” I ask him as I feel my back hit the wall.
“Morrigan, calm down.” Cu Chulainn says to me, I look over at him.
“I want to go home.” I say to him.
“You are staying here now.” Satan says to me, I look back over at him he stands up and I slide across the wall and bed away from him.
“Morrigan.” Cu Chulainn says to me, I look over at him with his hands out to me as he walks close.
“Stay away from me.” I say to him as I pull away from him.
“No one is going to hurt you.” He says with a sad smile, I glare at him.
“Really? You of all people are going to say that to me?” I ask him angrily, he backs up a step, I see movement out of the corner of my eye and I look to see Satan walking to me. I slide off the bed on the opposite end of the bed and back along the wall as I watch him.
“She does not trust men in bedrooms, it took me several hundred years to get her to trust me.” Cu Chulainn says quietly to Satan, he stops walking towards me to watch me.
“Seems she does not trust you anymore.” Satan says with a frown.
“Just stay away.” I say quietly as I watch them, they back away from me and sit back down in the chairs. “Why am I here?” I ask them.
“Lucifer tried to.” Cu Chulainn starts to say but stops as he frowns at me, the memory comes back as tears come to my eyes.
“I want to go home.” I say to them as I feel the shaking start.
“I am keeping you here.” Satan says with a frown, I look over and I see the large black door, I run to it as fast as I can, I hit the door I try to push it open but it doesn’t move. I punch it angrily as I hear footsteps, I punch it harder as I feel arms wrap around me. Tears fall down my face as I go limp in the arms, fear taking over.
“Please do not hurt me.” I whisper as I close my eyes as I feel them drag me away from the door, I block out everything as I go into my mind, I layer the protections in my mind to keep me safe. I feel magic trying to enter my mind and I shield my mind even more; the magic gets stronger and I layer more protections around myself pulling myself deeper into my mind. The magic suddenly gets stronger than I can handle I feel the protections being stripped away faster than I replace them, I fight it as much as I can until I ripped out. I open my eyes as tears fall down my face I look up at the blue eyes. “No escape.” I whisper to him.
“I still don’t think that was a good idea.” I hear Cu Chulainn say.
“She has no concept of time, it is more dangerous leaving her in there.” I hear Satan say, I feel my magic blocked from me, I try to vanish to feel it blocked. I watch the blue eyes move away from me to be replaced by hazel eyes, I look into his eyes remembering all the times they made me happy as tears start to fall again.
“What did I do wrong?” I ask him with a frown.
“Nothing, Morrigan. This is not a punishment.” He says to me.
“Feels like it. Just like Emnos and Dhuna.” I whisper. “No magic, no vanishing, no escape.” I say quietly as I feel the tears fall.
“No pain, nothing bad is going to happen.” He says as he watches me.
“Like I haven’t heard that before.” I say quietly. “Just let me know what to do, I do not want to make anyone angry.” I whisper as tears fall quicker.
“Calm down, that will keep anyone from getting angry.” He says to me, I frown at him.
“You know what Dhuna did to me and you want me to calm down?” I ask him.
“Not everyone is like him.” He says quietly.
“You hate me, you will end up doing something.” I say to him as I roll to face away from him, I feel him lift off the bed and I hear footsteps.
“Maybe we should get Aamon, those two have a weird connection. He might be able to calm her down.” I hear him say quietly.
“Get him.” I hear Satan say, I stare at the window watching the darkness outside. I hear footsteps walking towards me, I feel someone roll me over I look up into yellow eyes and I feel pain shoot through me when I look up to see black hair.
“You have yellow eyes like Theros.” I whisper as tears fall down my face.
“Hello Morrigan.” Aamon says to me with a sad smile, I wrap my arms around him and hug him tightly, I feel him lift me up and hug me. “I am sorry about Theros.” He says quietly.
“It is like the sun is gone.” I whisper.
“He will be back.” He whispers as he hugs me tighter.
“Seems your idea may have worked, Cu Chulainn.” Satan says to him.
“Yeah, I just didn’t think about the eyes.” Cu Chulainn says quietly.
“What did you two do to her?” Aamon asks them.
“She woke up here, it made her have flashbacks.” Cu Chulainn says to him.
“What could she have gone through to be like this?” He asks him.
“More than you can imagine.” Cu Chulainn says quietly, I close my eyes and fall asleep on Aamon.
I open my eyes to feel arms wrapped around me, I push back from the person to see Aamon smiling at me. “Why are you in my bed?” I ask him with a frown and he laughs.
“I was your bed.” He says with a grin, I look around us to see Lucifer’s room, I see Satan and Cu Chulainn watching us. Memories flood my mind as I watch them, I try to use magic to find it is blocked, I try to vanish to find it is blocked.
“Prisoner again.” I say as I frown at them.
“I will protect you.” Aamon whispers to me, I look back at him and I smile at him.
“Aamon, how are you so nice?” I ask him with a grin.
“I got lucky.” He says as he winks at me, and I laugh, I feel him lift me up and set me down on my feet. “Work with them and everything will be okay.” He says as he smiles at me. I turn and look at them, they both stand and slowly walk towards me.
“Why am I here?” I ask them angrily. “I get punished because Lucifer wanted to be an ass?” I ask Satan angrily as I glare at him, and he smiles at me.
“Nice to have the Morrigan I am used to back.” Satan says as he walks towards me, I see him raise a hand and he touches my temple. I see my memories flash through my mind as he watches them all with my feelings and pain.
“Why are you doing that?” I whisper as I see the memories flash by.
“Your son had the diluted version; I want the full version.” He says quietly as he watches them, he drops his hand as he watches me. “It is a wonder you can function at all.” He says as he frowns at me. “But you were right, Dhuna was the worst out of all of it. Except where Emnos killed her. Have you seen that?” Satan asks Cu Chulainn.
“No, she never showed me.” He says as he frowns at me, I see Satan touch a finger to Cu Chulainn’s head, I see pain in his eyes then anger when the hand drops. “You still got with him after that?” He asks me angrily.
“What he did to me is nothing compared to what you did.” I say angrily as I get in his face.
“She did feel more pain though she tried to keep it down, from you than when she died.” Satan says with a frown, I back away from and turn from him to ignore him.
“Now that we are done sharing, what do you plan on doing with me?” I ask Satan angrily. “You will find as a prisoner I am not as enjoyable as my son.” I say as I glare at him, he laughs as he watches me.
“I will put you in a room near Aamon, since he is able to calm you down. I prefer not to have a caged wild rabid animal again; you were throwing off magic at us before I blocked you. It was painful.” He says with a smile.
“I need to take care of my kingdom.” I say as I glare at him.
“It survived two hundred years without you, I think it can survive this.” He says as he watches me. “Though I did see how dedicated you are about running it.” He adds with a smile.
“Yeah, she thought that was more important than anything else.” Cu Chulainn says angrily, I feel anger rise in me as I glare at him.
“You are the most selfish childish man I have ever met.” I growl at him.
“Leave us Cu Chulainn, you are not helping.” Satan says to him and he vanishes. “I expect you to behave as a lady while you are here in this castle.” Satan says to me with a frown and I laugh.
“Good luck, my father tried that.” I say as I cross my arms and glare at him. “I will act how I want because I am a prisoner, and I will until I am free.” I say angrily.
