Chapter Thirty-one

“Hello again, Morrigan.” Aziz says as he frowns at Emnos who is still laughing. “Has he lost his senses?” Aziz asks me.
“I do not think he had them to begin with.” I say with a smirk.
“Who is he?” Aziz asks me.
“The ass from my world.” I say with a glare at Emnos, he stops laughing finally and frowns at me.
“I am not an ass.” He says to me.
“Yes, you are, only an ass would torture me while I am trying to get my mansion running again with training his whores in magic!” I yell angrily at him; he grins down at me. “You are infuriating, I should just kill you so I can have some peace.” I say as I glare at him.
“You are the infuriating one, every time there is a fight you tell everyone to run so you can sacrifice yourself.” He says angrily as he glares at me.
“Oh, really? Then what the hell were you doing at the Fomorian war with all the other Gods. Then the battle in the forest to kill all those creatures, we lost three Gods to them.” I growl at him as I glare at him.
“Do not even bring up the fomorians, remember what happened in that one?” He says angrily. “Sword right through here!” He yells angrily as he pokes my chest, I smack his hand.
“Do not touch me, you ass.” I say angrily.
“Or what?” He asks me with a grin, as he pokes me in the chest.
“Emnos you are about to lose that hand.” I growl at him as a sword appears in my hand, Cu Chulainn steps in between us.
“I apologize for these two, they have issues.” Cu Chulainn says to Aziz and Anand, they laugh.
“My only issue is him!” I yell at Cu Chulainn.
“My only issue is you.” Emnos says angrily.
“If I was your issue why the hell did you torture Creation to let you come here?” I ask him angrily as I shove Cu Chulainn out of the way.
“To keep you from doing your usual thing and throw yourself in whatever big bad is coming at you.” He says as he glares at me.
“To keep me from doing that?” I say as I laugh. “You are weaker than me.” I say angrily.
“Emnos, right?” Aziz says to Emnos, he turns and nods with a smile. “May I speak to you?” Aziz asks him with a laugh, Emnos frowns at me and follows him.
“For him to say he doesn’t want you, he really wants you.” Anand says with a laugh, I look at her confused. “I know what he is doing, Aziz has been like that with me before. Emnos lied to you.” She says with a grin.
“What is doing besides pissing me off?” I ask her with a frown, as I see Emnos look back at me.
“He is afraid of losing you so he pushes you away, to protect himself.” She says with a smile. “I would imagine the women you were talking about, he has not touched at all.” She adds with a grin.
“I don’t want him, he is an ass.” I say angrily as I cross my arms.
“I have said those exact words.” Anand says as she laughs.
“I heard yelling across the castle, what the hell is going on?” Dagda asks as he walks up beside me.
“Emnos is here.” I say angrily, Dagda laughs.
“What is Aziz doing with him?” Dagda asks as he watches them.
“Probably trying to beat common sense into him.” Anand says with a grin.
“You cannot with that one.” Cu Chulainn says annoyed.
“Took the words right out of my mouth.” I say to Cu Chulainn and he laughs, I watch them walk back to us, Emnos grins at me, and I frown at him.
“Where is Morrigan’s room, Dagda? That is where I want to stay.” Emnos asks Dagda, I open my mouth to start yelling at him and Cu Chulainn places a hand over my mouth, all my words are muffled against his hand as I glare at Emnos who laughs at us, Dagda watches us amused.
“I can take you there.” Dagda says with a laugh as he offers his hand to Emnos, I glare at Dagda while I yell muffled words at him and he laughs harder as they vanish. I glare Aziz, as I say a muffled order and the hand is removed from my mouth.
“What did you say to him?” I ask angrily as I glare at Cu Chulainn who grins at me, Aziz laughs.
“I told him what he needed to hear.” Aziz says with a grin as he offers his arm to Anand and they vanish. I grab Cu Chulainn and we vanish to my room, I see Emnos laying on my bed.
“No yelling, Morrigan.” Cu Chulainn says to me.
“Why not? I enjoy it when she gets that angry.” Emnos asks as he laughs.
“Get off my bed.” I say angrily as I vanish over to it and start beating him with the pillow, Emnos laughs as he holds his arms up to fend off the pillow, Cu Chulainn laughs as he watches. Emnos rolls off the bed from laughter, and I crawl up on it to chase him off with the pillow.
“Morrigan, stop beating me with a pillow. It hurts as much as your punches.” Emnos says through his laughter, I glare at him and throw the pillow at him. I sit on the bed with my arms crossed as I glare at him, Emnos gets up on his knees beside the bed and grins at me. “Are you done beating me with plush pillows?” He asks me with a laugh.
“As long as you stay off the bed.” I say angrily.
“Fair enough, Cu Chulainn do you mind giving us some privacy so I can grovel?” He asks Cu Chulainn, who laughs and nods as he vanishes.
“Do not bother.” I say as I glare at him.
“Do you know those two are married?” Emnos asks me with a smile.
“Yes, I do know. I saw him give her one of those smiles you used to give me.” I say quietly as I glare at him.
“Used to? I still do.” He says as he watches me.
“Go find your own room.” I say to him as I glare at the wall, I hear him stand up and I feel a hand on my leg and he pulls me to him and pushes me down on the bed as he spreads me legs with a hand and a knee and gets in between them to lean down over me, supporting himself up on a hand by my head.
“No.” He says with a grin.
“Get off me, Emnos.” I say angrily as I push him.
“No.” He says with a laugh. “If I have to I will stay here until you want me again, which with how good looking I am that will not take long.” He says with a wink.
“You are insufferable.” I say angrily as I glare at him.
“You have managed suffering my company quite well then.” He says with a laugh as he leans down closer to me pushing against my hands. “I am sorry, Morrigan. I made a stupid mistake, thinking I would be better off not having to deal with suffering through you dying. I found out that suffering living without you while you are still alive, is much worse.” He says quietly with a sad smile.
“What about your sorceresses and the woman in the room, and when we came back to our world you were shirtless?” I ask him angrily as I feel tears in my eyes.
“If you want to, check my memories I have nothing to hide. I did nothing with any woman, I thought I could. But I realized you cannot substitute subpar for perfect, and any of them would have been subpar compared to you. You are perfection.” He says with a smile, I touch his temple and I go through the memories when him and I had that fight all the way up to now, I laugh at the way he tortures Creation. I remove my hand from him, and he grins at me. “See, nothing to hide. You are all I want.” He says quietly as he stares into my eyes. “I once told you I would follow you to any world, and I did.” He says with a grin.
“You are irritating, stubborn, infuriating, annoying, and an ass. But I love you.” I say with a laugh.
“You should have put in some of my bad traits, my ego is at risk of exploding.” He says as he laughs, he leans down and kisses me, then leans back with a smile. “I love you too.” He says to me.
“What did Aziz say to you?” I ask him with a frown.
“Nothing I had not already realized, as soon as I told him I already knew all that he laughed and said then you know what you need to do. Otherwise, you will end up regretting it for eternity.” Emnos says with a grin. “Though seeing two of you was kind of a strange turn on.” Emnos says with a wink, and I laugh. I hear a knock on the door and I frown at it. “Come in!” Emnos yells at the door, the door opens and I see Aziz and Anand walk in, they both grin at us.
“I am guessing you have fixed the worst mistake of your life, otherwise you would have a sword through you at the moment.” Aziz says with a laugh.
“Yes, I did. That is a mistake I will never make again.” Emnos says as he grins at them, and they laugh.
“Good because you have the stronger one, you are lucky she didn’t just castrate you.” Aziz says with a smile.
“I had thought about it.” I say with a grin, Emnos gives me a pained look.
“Anywhere but there, you can cut off an arm, a leg, but not that.” Emnos says to me, and I laugh.
“As you wish, Emnos.” I say with a wink.
“Where is the demigod?” Aziz asks with a frown as he looks around.
“I asked him to give me privacy to grovel, its bad enough she has to be in the room for it.” Emnos says with a laugh, they laugh as well, Emnos gets off me and grabs my arms and lifts me off the bed. “You can tell him to come back now, now that I am done.” Emnos says with a smile.
Come to me.
Cu Chulainn appears in the room and walks over to me with a smile. “How do you know which is which?” Anand asks him.
“I can tell from the eyes.” Cu Chulainn says as he looks over at Anand.
“What about my eyes?” I ask him with a frown.
“Something special in them that only you have.” Cu Chulainn says with a laugh.
“I have to agree with him, if you two tried switching places. I would know right away just by looking in your eyes.” Emnos says with a laugh.
“Speaking of Emnos, there is something I need to speak to you about.” Cu Chulainn says with anger in his eyes, Emnos nods to him and lets go of me. They walk to the corner of the room away from everyone, I walk over to Anand and Aziz.
“What do you think they are talking about?” Anand asks me with a frown.
“If I know them, and I do. Cu Chulainn is telling Emnos what the Creation here made Dagda do.” I say as I watch them.
“May I ask?” She asks me.
“Creation said I am broken; Dagda says I cannot be fixed. Ask Druas about Dhuna, he will tell you.” I say to them as I give them a sad smile.
“You met my twin?” Aziz asks me.
“Yes, he looks just like Dhuna.” I say with a laugh. “Dhuna is Emnos’ twin.” I say as I look back over to see Emnos with anger in his eyes as he looks at me with concern. I see them finish talking and Emnos closes the distance between us wrapping an arm around me.
“I am sorry, Morrigan I want to see.” Emnos says as he touches a finger to my temple and I feel myself go limp as he goes through the memories, I see anger raging in his eyes as he goes through the memories, I feel his hand leave my head.
“It is fine Emnos.” I say to him with a smile. “Dagda did not do anything too bad.” I say to him.
“He still put you in that state, that is bad enough.” Emnos says angrily.
“What state?” Anand asks him.
“If she feels trapped without the ability to protect herself, she goes into a state of fear and turns into another person. It is not something I ever want to see again; I have seen it once and that was torture.” Emnos says quietly.
“Anand doesn’t have that problem.” Aziz says with a frown.
“Be thankful, worst part is my brother did it to her.” Emnos says with a sad smile.
“What did you do to him?” Aziz asks angrily.
“I made him suffer through the memories of what he did, pain and fear included.” Emnos says with anger in his eyes. “I could not kill him.” He says quietly.
“I understand the sentiment, I could not kill mine either.” Aziz says with a sad smile. “I do have a question though when it comes to combat between you two. When she is fighting, what do you do?” Aziz asks Emnos.
“I watch out for her, and if I think she needs it I will act as a distraction, or I heal her.” Emnos says with a laugh. “When she is in full blown combat mode it is dangerous to get too close.” He says with a grin.
“Especially when she lets Morrigu out, she rains fireballs from the sky.” Cu Chulainn says as he laughs.
“I am guessing it is part of those powers you got from the graveyard?” Anand asks me and I nod.
“May I ask what you were doing with Dagda in our world?” Emnos asks me with a frown.
“He told me that Morrigu was his lover at the beginning, Creation banished him from our world for fighting a decision that would have separated them. He never tried anything, which I am grateful for. The last thing I wanted was men trying to chase after me after you were an ass.” I say as I frown up at him, Emnos laughs.
“Were you told why all these Gods are here, Emnos?” Aziz asks him.
“No, I just answered this Creation’s questions as quickly as I could and asked her where Morrigan was.” Emnos says with a grin.
“We are here for a large war, Emnos.” I say to him as I watch him, he looks down at me and I see fear in his eyes.
“Has she said if you will survive this?” He asks me.
“She is tighter lipped than ours.” I say to him, he nods.
“Then I guess I just need to stay near you and keep you alive.” Emnos says with an uneasy smile.
“I am guessing she is one that runs into the thick of the battle?” Aziz asks with a grin.
“Yes, unfortunately.” Emnos says with a frown, a bell with a strange tone ring through the halls, I feel it pulling me to a portion of the castle.
“It would seem we are being called.” Aziz says with a frown, the five of us follow the pull of the bell and we enter a large hall full of Gods. I see a podium at the back of the room, with a white throne perched on it and Creation is sitting on it, watching the Gods waiting for everyone to arrive. Once the Gods finish streaming into the room, Dagda hits a staff on the floor to call for attention, everyone falls silent.
“I have called you all here, because the War of the Gods is going to be starting soon. Any preparations you need to make, you should do them now. I also need a certain Goddess among you to come with me, Carnage wants to meet her before it starts. Morrigan, Goddess of War, come to me.” Creation says to everyone, I feel the call of the magic forcing me to walk towards her, I feel Emnos trying to keep me in place as he looks down at me with concern.
“I cannot fight the magic of her calling me.” I whisper to him, he lets go of me and I walk to her, Creation smiles down at me as I walk to the podium.
“You all may go.” She says to the Gods as she watches me, I feel them all vanishing as I hear footsteps walking towards me. She looks behind me with a frown. “I said you can go.” She says as she watches them.
“I will not leave my Goddess, Creation.” I hear Cu Chulainn says to her.
“Neither will I, where she goes, I go.” I hear Emnos say with anger in his voice.
“You are putting your lives at risk by going.” Creation says as she watches them.
“I do not care.” Emnos says to her.
“Neither do I.” Cu Chulainn says to her.
“Very well, I think your loyalty to her is adorable.” Creations says with a laugh as she vanishes, she appears in front of me. “I wonder what it is about you that inspires reckless loyalty.” She says as she smiles at me, as we vanish. I look around and I automatically recognize the Circle we are at; it is from the dream Carnage gave me. I glance back at Emnos and I can see he recognizes it too.
Keep him and yourself behind me, do not come at Carnage. No matter what she does, she will kill you two.
Yes, Morrigan. Though I really do not like that order.
I do not care if you like it, I expect you to do it.
Starting to sound kind of like Creation.
Except I say it for your well being, not out of some sense of thinking I am better than you.
I know, Morrigan. You have good intentions.
I feel a powerful surge of energy that makes my skin crawl and I feel sick to my stomach, it makes me feel lightheaded as I watch Carnage rise out of the slab. The red eyes focus on me immediately, I feel a knot form in my throat made of fear as I look into her eyes, she grins at me as she walks towards us.
“I brought her, Carnage. What do you want with her?” Creation asks angrily.
“I want to play with the toy you made.” Carnage says as she grins at Creation.
“I would like it if you didn’t, what you did in the dream was bad enough.” Creation says as she glares at Carnage, who laughs.
“That was just a touch of love.” Carnage says as she looks back at me. “Who are the extras?” She asks angrily.
“Loyal followers who have followed her into fire.” Creation says annoyed.
“They are inconsequential, she is the one I want to see.” Carnage says as she vanishes and appears in front of me with a grin I see the fangs in her mouth as I back up a step from her and she laughs. “I did not lie in the dream, you are perfect.” She says as she takes a step closer to me, I see her raising her hand to touch my face and I back up out of her reach. “You didn’t enjoy my touch last time?” She asks me with a frown as she closes the distance between us.
“No, I did not.” I say quietly as I watch her and back up another step, I feel Emnos behind me.
Back him up.
Yes, Morrigan.
“I do not see why you did not like it, I rarely let anyone enjoy the experience of my touch. Show me where I touched you, I want to see it.” She says with a grin, I stare at the fangs as dread builds in me. “If you do not show me, I will give you more prints to match those.” She whispers as she walks closer, I unlatch the sleeves and slide them off handing them off behind me to Emnos. She grins maliciously at the marks on my arms, she almost looks proud of herself. “They are beautiful, I bet they match those wings of yours.” She says with a laugh. “Show me your wings, Chaos, Death, War.” She says with a gentle smile as she closes the distance between us, I let the rage go as I feel the power wrap around me, as I back up away from her.
“Why do you want to see it?” I ask her.
“Because it is beautiful, the wings of Death, the eyes of Chaos and the feathers of War.” She says as she smiles at me watching the feathers fall around me, I see her look past me at Emnos, I see recognition in her eyes and then anger. “What is he doing with you?” She asks me as she glares at him.
“That is not important keep your attention on me.” I say to her and she looks at me and laughs.
“That is important since I am the one that separated you two, I had magic worked on you two to make you go your separate ways.” She says as she frowns at me.
“Why?” I ask her angrily as I glare at her, she grins at me.
“Remember the part of the dream, you would be more likely to do it if he was not in the picture.” She says as she watches me with that creepy grin on my face, the memory of the part with Lucifer pops into my head.
“That would never happen, even if he is not with me!” I yell angrily at her, she laughs.
“Do you not like that pet? I thought he was cute and devious in the right ways.” She says with a grin.
“What is she talking about, Morrigan?” Emnos whispers to me, she looks at him with delight.
“Carnage, focus on me.” I say angrily she looks at me with a smile.
“You want me to focus on you? Then stop running away, come to me.” She says with a laugh, I walk towards her, I feel Emnos’ hand on my arm.
Get him off me, I prefer her not focus on him.
Yes, Morrigan.
I feel Emnos’ hand jerked off me and I walk closer to Carnage, she watches me with a delighted grin. “You would do that for him, or are you doing it for you?” She asks me as she watches me walk to her.
“I do it for him.” I say to her as I stop in front of her, she leans towards me and I feel her breath on my ear.
“He would not do it for you, let me know if the pain is any different from the dream. The curiosity is killing me.” She whispers in my ear, and leans back to look me in the eyes. “You know what your weakness is. I already told you, but now you have another, him.” She says with a grin as I feel her grab my arms, I collapse to my knees she holds me up from falling to the ground from the pain. I feel like I am being ripped apart physically, mentally, and magically, I see glowing blue angry eyes running toward us with a sword in her hand, I hear the screams coming from me distantly as I watch the blade come down on Carnage and she vanishes. I fall to the ground as consciousness slips away from me, the world goes black.
I open my eyes to see violet eyes watching me, I smile at him. “Good morning.” I say quietly.
“Good morning, are you okay?” He asks me, I look at him with a frown and memories of Carnage flood my mind.
“That was not a dream, right?” I ask him.
“No, it was not.” He says angrily. “Why did you let her do that?” He asks me.
“Because for some reason she wants to make me suffer in any way possible, I chose the less of the two evils.” I say to him. “Even though in that dream I had absolutely no control over anything, I could not control my words or my actions. The only thing I had control over was my emotions.” I say angrily.
“Then why would you not want me to know about it?” He asks me with a frown.
“Because of how you would react, jealousy is not your best look.” I say quietly.
“If you had no control at all except your emotions, I will not get mad at you.” He says to me. “I prefer we are honest with each other.” He says angrily.
“Promise you will not be mad at me.” I say to him as I feel tears in my eyes.
“I promise, Morrigan.” He says with a frown.
“I would never do this, for any reason. You will probably understand once you see who.” I whisper as I raise a hand and touch his temple with a finger, I play the dream of Lucifer in his head, including the part with Creation telling me that Lucifer would be stronger if he sided with Carnage. I see a new kind of rage in his eyes as the dream plays in his mind, I feel fear rising in me at the look on his face, once it is done, I take my hand off him and watch him.
“All you had control over was your emotions?” He asks me, and I nod. “I felt your fear, dread, repulsion, disgust, hatred, and guilt. I never knew someone could feel so many things at once, but after seeing that I understand how it is possible.” He says angrily.
“Not mad at me, right?” I whisper as I feel a tear fall down my face, he looks at me with sympathy.
“I could never be mad at you over something you had no control over, only reason I got mad over Tiras is because I needed something to direct my anger at. I lost control of myself, and I will never forgive myself for directing my anger at you when you were the victim.” He says quietly as he cups my cheek with a hand.
“I forgive you, and thank you for not getting mad over the dream Carnage gave me.” I say with a sad smile.
“That is why you let her touch you?” He asks me with a frown.
“Yes, I was afraid you would not listen to me afterwards if she showed you. I was afraid of losing you again.” I say as I feel pain shoot through me from the thoughts of how he would have reacted.
“That dream was geared to make me angry at you, I can see why would think that way.” He says angrily. “She made it that way, knowing you wouldn’t show it to me out of fear of how I would react.” He says as he looks down at my arm, I look down to see it is darker than it was before and the skin looks blistered but black. “I tried healing you, but it doesn’t work. After Carnage did that her and Creation fought until Carnage vanished.” He says quietly, I slide closer to him and he grins at me, I laugh and kiss him.
“Try not to go further than that while I am in the room.” I hear Cu Chulainn say, I look over at him, he smiles at me. “Glad you are okay, Morrigan. Though I can feel that it still hurts.” He says with a sad smile.
“It does?” Emnos asks me.
“I ignore it, so I don’t feel it.” I say to them. “How long was I asleep by the way?” I ask Cu Chulainn.
“I forgot to say, sorry Morrigan. You were out for a week.” He says with a smile.
“You tell her every time she wakes up how long she was sleeping?” Emnos asks him, and Cu Chulainn nods with a smile.
“It is useful information, especially when I am running a kingdom or mansion.” I say to Emnos with a smile. “I would wake up and he would be laying in bed next to me to tell me how long I was sleeping.” I say as I look over at Cu Chulainn with a grin, he winks at me.
“You were in her bed?” Emnos asks angrily.
“What is wrong with that?” I ask Emnos with a frown.
“While you sleep you are a very cuddly person.” He says as he glares at Cu Chulainn, who laughs and grins at him.
“Yes, she is very cuddly. Especially when you lay down behind her while she is rolled onto her side.” Cu Chulainn says to him, Emnos’ glare grows more rage filled as he watches Cu Chulainn.
“I know just how cuddly she is that way.” Emnos says angrily.
“I am going to take it that I do not want to know and stay out of this.” I say annoyed, Cu Chulainn laughs and shakes his head at me, I vanish. The arena appears around me; I see Anand she is fighting Aziz. I lean back on the wall and watch; I can tell she either doesn’t get the magical warning or she just doesn’t pay attention to it. I feed magic into her from that portion of the magic to figure out what it is, I notice her blocking all of his attacks and I smile as I watch. I see Aziz enjoying himself now that she is blocking all his attacks, I hear him laugh as he continues attacking, I see an opening and I watch her take it. He laughs as she lowers the blade from his throat, she looks over at me and grins.
“Is that what it is like for you, Morrigan?” She asks me.
“Yes, I wanted to see if you had the magic or not. So, I fed you some of mine and that is when you started blocking.” I say with a laugh, her grin widens. They appear in front of me, they look down at my arms and I see concern on their faces. “Carnage’s parting gift to me, for not being upfront with Emnos about a dream.” I say with a smile.
“Does that hurt?” Aziz asks me.
“I can ignore this pain, it is like a small dull ache.” I say to him, he nods.
“We asked Druas about Dhuna.” Anand says quietly.
“He did not want to talk about it, he said after a few pages of that part he stopped reading. He could not go any further.” Aziz says with a frown. “He even erased it from his memory.” He adds.
“I do not blame him.” I say with a laugh. “Anand, I want to teach you something, may I?” I ask her as I lift a finger near her head she nods and I touch her temple, I flood her mind with all the combat knowledge I know and the dance, I drop my hand. I watch her process all the information with a small smile on her face, once she is done, she looks up at me.
“Can we try it?” She asks me and I nod with a smile.
“It helps not to think while you do it. Just let the motion take over.” I say with a smile as my swords appear in my hands as we walk out onto the open floor.
“Got it, no thinking.” She says with a grin, she starts the dance and I join her, she is actually better than Cu Chulainn. She moves gracefully from step to step just like I showed her when I transferred it into her mind, she is almost as good as Macha and Babd and they mastered it as much as they were capable of. I feel a hand on me, I stop and look over to see Emnos, I frown at him.
“I guess that also has the effect of making her lose time while she does it, you two have been at it for five hours.” Emnos says with a smile, I look over at her and she grins at me.
“Thank you for the gift, Morrigan.” She says to me and bows.
“You’re welcome, Anand.” I say to her, I watch Aziz lead her away.
“You two also got the attention of most of the Gods.” Emnos says with a laugh as he turns and I see Gods lined up on the side.
“I am glad she finds it as calming as I do, I could get lost in it for eternity.” I say with a laugh.
“That is why you have me, I keep you grounded.” Emnos says with a smile, and I nod to him. He offers me his arm and I take it, he leads out of the arena I see Anand and Aziz waiting for us.
“Morrigan, when you do that does it feel like only seconds have passed by when you are stopped?” She asks me with a frown.
“Yes, but everything is that way for me.” I say with a smile.
“It is calming and almost like meditation.” She says with a dreamy look in her eyes, I laugh.
“I feel the same way, you were quite good. If you keep practicing you could master it like I have.” I say to her and she grins and nods.
“Every day then?” She asks me and I laugh.
“Yes, if that is what you want.” I say to her with a grin.
“It is, I love it.” She says to me with a smile.
“Come Anand, we have to listen to petitions.” Aziz says to her with a smile and she nods, he leads her down the hallway. I see Dagda walk past them toward us, I look up at Emnos to see him glaring at Dagda.
“It is nice to see you again, Morrigan and Emnos.” Dagda says with a smile.
“Nice to see you again as well, there is something I have been meaning to ask you. Who made this city the way it is?” I ask him.
“I did.” He says with a smile. “Find anything you didn’t like about it?” He asks me.
“How did you get rid of the poor districts?” I ask him.
“They are not allowed to move into the city, only middle class and higher are allowed. Creation’s orders.” He says with a frown. “If it was left up to me everyone would get to live here.” He says angrily.
“Thank you for the answer, I thought someone had accomplished something I had not.” I say with a frown.
“Morrigan, your cities are perfect the way they are. Everyone gets to live in them and everyone is happy and well taken care of.” Dagda says with a smile.
“Thank you, Dagda.” I say with a small smile.
“You should cover your arms; it could affect moral of some of the Gods.” Dagda says with a frown as he looks down at the blistered blackened hand prints.
“As you wish, Dagda.” I say to him and he grins as we vanish, our room appears around us, Emnos walks over to the wardrobe, opening it and grabbing the sleeves out. “Where is Cu Chulainn?” I ask him with a frown, Emnos looks at me with a smile as he walks back to me.
“He is out in the city.” Emnos says as he slides up a sleeve and latches it on my arm.
“I hope you were not mean to him.” I say as my frown deepens, he laughs.
“No, I realized something while I was talking to him.” Emnos says as he slides up the other sleeve and latches it closed.
“What is that?” I ask him.
“He loves you as much as I do, but he does what he can to keep us together. I am not sure I understand why, so I cannot get mad at him for enjoying being near you.” Emnos says with a smile as he leans down to me and kisses me. “I am surprised you did not go back to him after what I did.” Emnos says as he frowns at me.
“I wanted nothing to do with anyone in that way, the thoughts of being hurt like that again. I never wanted it to happen again.” I say with a sad smile.
“Well, I am happy with apologizing for eternity as long as you keep me, I am sorry, Morrigan.” Emnos says with a grin as he picks me up, I wrap my arms and legs around him.
“I prefer the words; I promise I will not do it again over I am sorry. That has more meaning than apologizing.” I say with a smile and kiss him.
“I can do that; I promise I will not do it again.” Emnos says as he lays me down on the bed.
“I do have a question, why were you tormenting me at my mansion?” I ask him as I glare at him, and he laughs.
“I realized I missed you. Even if it meant your wrath, I enjoyed being near you.” Emnos says with a grin.
“And you decided to bring me something that you wanted that would make me even angrier?” I ask him as I continue to glare at him.
“I couldn’t think of anything that you would turn down other than that.” Emnos says with a laugh. “I knew you would automatically assume and either smite me, or get hurt and fight me with your words. I was willing to risk it just to be near you, I think Cu Chulainn figured me out because he was smiling the entire time.” Emnos says as he laughs harder.
“I know he figured you out, he has done something similar. While he was Satan’s demigod, Satan told me one of the portions of the agreement, Cu Chulainn had to stay in my palace with me. It was under the guise of making sure I honor the agreement.” I say with a frown.
“Nice to know he is as devious as I am.” Emnos says with a laugh, and kisses me as I feel my clothes vanish. The smell of jasmine and lavender fills me as slides me further onto the bed, I feel him push inside me.
I lay on the bed on my back, with the feeling of Emnos laying on me as he traces circles on my chest. “Emnos, why did you not bring Dhuna?” I ask him as I look over at him with a frown.
“I did not think of it, I was only concerned with getting to you.” He says with a frown.
“I found a God that looks just like him here, he even traces swirls on his books while he reads, like Dhuna.” I say with a smile, Emnos laughs.
“Can I meet him?” Emnos asks me.
“Yes, he is Aziz’s twin.” I say with a smile as I feel my dress appear on my body.
“Lets go then, it would be nice to see Dhuna even if it is not him.” Emnos says as he gets off the bed, he pulls me off the bed and we vanish to the library where I last saw him. I see him sitting in the same chair with a different book in his hands.
“Druas, this is the Lust from my world.” I say to him, he looks over the book and grins at Emnos, he lays the book down and walks up to Emnos.
“You look just like Aziz, if it was not for the lack of connection. I would think you are him, it is amazing.” Druas says with a laugh.
“I have to say the same, you look just like Dhuna. My name is Emnos.” Emnos says with a smile as he looks over Druas, Druas’ face gets a disturbed look on it as he looks away from Emnos.
“I have been reading the God’s chronicles, I ran into Morrigan’s. I only read a little of what Dhuna did, I could not bear to read the rest of it.” Druas says quietly.
“Do not think badly of him, he felt like he needed to get revenge.” Emnos says to him, Druas looks him in the eye with a frown.
“What could have possibly been done to you to drive him to that?” Druas asks him.
“If Aziz was taken by Gods and beaten for over a hundred years, and then killed because of something Anand had done, what would you do?” Emnos asks him, Druas’ eyes glow.
“I am not sure, I know that I would be angrier than I have ever been before.” Druas says angrily.
“The plan was to kill her, until I saw she was weakened.” I hear a voice say behind us, I turn to see Dhuna and I grin at him.
“Dhuna! How did you get here?” I yell excitedly as I go to him and hug him.
“There is a God that looks like me.” Dhuna says quietly, I look up at him to see him frowning.
“Yes, there is also another one of me as well.” Emnos says with a laugh. “Druas do not think badly of him, he is a good person.” Emnos says to him, as I let go of Dhuna and return to Emnos’ side.
“It is slightly strange to see someone who looks just like me.” Druas says as he walks closer to Dhuna.
“You took the words out of my mouth.” Dhuna says as he watches Druas.
“Do you like reading, Dhuna?” Druas asks him with a frown.
“Yes, I do.” Dhuna says with a small smile.
“You both trace swirls on the book as you read.” I say to them, they laugh.
“This is starting to feel weird.” Emnos says as he frowns at them, I laugh as I look up Emnos.
“How did you get here, Dhuna?” Emnos asks him.
“I went through the memories of how you got here, and I did the same to her.” Dhuna says with a grin, Emnos laughs. “Did you grovel for your mistake, or do I need to beat the stupid out of you?” Dhuna asks Emnos with a glare as he crosses his arms.
“I groveled.” Emnos says as he laughs harder.
“Good, you are an idiot.” Dhuna says angrily. “After everything I did to get you back to her, and you ruin it.” Dhuna says as he glares at Emnos, his eyes glowing.
“You had to deal with him making a stupid decision too?” Druas asks Dhuna with a frown.
“Yes, I had come with him to her mansion thinking that was what he was there for. Then he says something completely stupid instead.” Dhuna says as he frowns at Duras.
“What did he say?” Druas asks Dhuna.
“He asked her to train sorceresses.” Dhuna says to him.
“Mine asked her if she would open a whorehouse in her city, so her city would be more interesting.” Druas says with a glare.
“I would have killed you for that.” I say as I glare at Emnos, who laughs.
“I am glad I did not come up with that idea then.” Emnos says as he grins at me.
“Anand is a little weaker than Aziz, so he was able to get away with more. I sense you are stronger than all of us.” Druas says with a smile as he watches me.
“She is a vicious monster when she attacks.” Emnos says with a grin. “Morrigan and I are going to take a walk, Dhuna are you going to stay here with Duras or are you coming with?” Emnos asks him.
“I am going to stay here and pick his mind.” Dhuna says with a smile at Druas.
“I would enjoy doing the same.” Druas says with a grin, Dhuna nods as he grins, we vanish and the hallway appears around us. I see Anand and Aziz walking down the hallway toward us, they walk over to us with smiles.
“I hear your twin is here, Emnos.” Aziz says to him.
“Yes, it is nice to have him again. I did not notice how strange it is to not be connected to his mind constantly until Morrigan mentioned him.” Emnos says with a small smile.
“Is it similar to when he is dead?” Aziz asks him with a frown.
“Yes, it is a disturbing feeling.” Emnos says with a frown, Aziz nods as he frowns.
“That is feeling I hate, I hope I never have to experience it again.” Aziz says to him.
“I agree, but with Dhuna here. He can help me keep her alive.” Emnos says with a smile.
“Is Dhuna a stronger healer too?” Aziz asks him, Emnos nods.
“I have noticed that when we heal together, we can heal faster and it is more complete.” Emnos says with a grin.
“We have never healed together; I will have to try it.” Aziz says with a laugh, I see Dhuna and Druas appear beside us, Aziz looks at them with a grin. “You two are perfect twins.” Aziz says with a laugh.
“Same could be said about you and Emnos.” Dhuna says with a frown. “I find this disturbing.” He says as he watches Aziz. “Why are all these Gods here, Emnos?” Dhuna asks as he looks at Emnos.
“War, Creation wants all these Gods to fight in it.” Emnos says with a frown.
“What kind of war is this if it needs this many Gods?” Dhuna asks him with a frown.
“A big one.” Aziz says quietly, a strange bell ring through the halls, I feel the call in the magic of the bell. “I think it is starting.” Aziz says with a frown. Emnos grabs Dhuna’s hand and we vanish. The large room from before appears around us, I see Creation on the white throne waiting. Once all the Gods have appeared in the room, Dagda clacks the staff on the ground and everyone falls silent.
“The war has begun; I hope you are prepared. I will assist on the battlefield, but keep in mind Carnage will be assisting the other side as well.” Creation says to us as her eyes glow, the room vanishes around us. A large open field appears in front of us, the sky slowly starts turning blood red, I feel Emnos’ grip on my hand tighten.
“I will stay close, do not worry.” I whisper to him, I feel a hand on my shoulder, I look back to see Cu Chulainn who has fear in his eyes as he watches me. “How about we try for everyone making it out of this alive?” I ask him with a grin and he laughs and nods to me.
“Dhuna and I will assist and heal you, Cu Chulainn can keep you from being surrounded.” Emnos says to me.
“I like that plan.” Cu Chulainn says to him.
“Mind if we join this plan?” I hear Aziz ask.
“I can feed my magic into Anand to give her the ability to sense an incoming attack, we can fight together.” I say as I watch the sky slowly darken.
“I have you ever seen this before, Morrigan?” Anand asks me quietly.
“Yes, I have. This is going to be worse.” I say to her. “Stay together and we will make it.” I add, the sky is now completely blood red I see the abnormally white moon appear.
“When is it going to start?” She asks me quietly.
“When the moon is at its peak.” I say as I watch the moon, I feel someone grab my head to look at them, Creation’s blue eyes come into view as they glow.
“She is going to come after you, I am going to try to stay near you to protect you. I made a promise to your Creation, I intend to keep it.”

She vanishes as a strange scream rip across the open field, I feel pain shoot through me as the sound reaches me, I see all the other Gods feel it too as they flinch from the pain. I look up to see the moon has reached the peak in the sky, I feel the ground shake under us as the magic warns me of the danger coming from the forest around us.
“What did she want?” Emnos asks me quickly.
“To tell me to let Morrigu loose, at the right moment.” I say quietly as I watch the trees sway.
When I let Morrigu’s power out get them away from me.
Why?
Carnage will be coming after me, Creation will be protecting me. I do not want to lose someone because they got in the way.
I will do my best.
I see the headless horsemen charging out of the forest, Baobhan run behind them, skeleton soldiers run out behind the Baobhan. After the soldiers every type of creature I have seen runs out behind them along with ones I have never seen before, I see the trees falling in the forest as Gods run to attack the creatures. I look behind us to see creatures spilling out of the forest behind us as well, the Gods are surrounded.
I run towards the forest on our right as creatures spill out of it, there are no Gods to defend this side they ran to join the others. I let rage take over as my swords appear in my hands, the power wrapping itself around me as the first headless horseman reaches me, I feel Emnos, Dhuna, and Cu Chulainn behind me as I jump over the horse and bring my sword down into the headless man. I see Anand, Aziz, and Druas run past us, I land and run to join them.
Go to Anand, tell her the magic warning does not work well on these creatures.
Yes, Morrigan.
I see Cu Chulainn appear at her side and tell her, as I run to catch up with them. Aziz cuts down a horseman as they run, Baobhan run out of the forest ahead of us, they look at us as they run and I notice they all turn their attention to me.
“Why are they coming to you?” Emnos asks me as he runs beside me.
“I killed their queen.” I say to him. “They will try to surround me, kill them off when they do.” I say to him as I run faster to get ahead, as soon as I am close enough, I jump and cut through three of them before I land on the ground again. I see them running past me to surround me, as I cut through the ones closest to me. I hear Baobhan screaming all around me as I cut through them, I see Emnos, Dhuna, Aziz, Druas, and Cu Chulainn over the Baobhan’s heads cutting through the Baobhan around me as I turn to kill any that come near me. I feel hands grab my left arm, I turn to swing my sword as I feel fangs sink into my arm, I see three Baobhan on my arm as I swing my sword under my arm. They let go and dodge the sword, I swing my swords as I feel a flutter of warning from the magic cutting through two, I look around as I fight them off to see Emnos and the rest slowly getting closer as skeleton soldiers charge up behind them.
Warn them of the skeletons.
I feel fangs sink into my left shoulder as I cut through a Baobhan to my right, I let the sword in my right hand vanish as I reach back and grab her by the hair, I rip her off me throwing her on the ground as I stab her through the chest with the left sword as the right sword appears in my hand again, I feel time slow around me as I feel more fangs sink into me. Everything around me comes to a standstill, I cut through the Baobhan around me, killing as many as I can before time resumes again. I kill the two on my arm as I feel time speeding up again, I glance around me quickly to see there are only ten left, I cut through two that jump toward me with one sword as I feel the magic flutter. I spin to face the one jumping towards me from behind, I decapitate her as I see another on my left reach for me, I cut off the hand as I feel the magic flutter again. I turn to my right and raise my sword in time for the Baobhan to impale herself on the sword, her momentum from jumping to me knocks me to the ground. I feel hands grab me as I release magic sending out flames all around me, I hear them scream as I jerk my arms and legs out of their grasp. I jump to my feet as I pull the sword out of the Baobhan as I call the other sword back to me, I cut through the seven remaining Baobhan. I look around to see Emnos and the group focused on killing the skeleton soldiers.
Tell everyone to come to me, these are best killed with fire.

I watch Cu Chulainn appear beside each one of them, and I watch them run to me. “Stay as close as you can!” I yell as I watch the skeletons run to us, I feel them press up against me as I gather the magic inside me, I wait until they have surrounded us on all sides. I release the magic all at once outside the circle of bodies around me, making it spread out to shoot through the mass of skeletons. I watch as they fall, Anand looks at me with a grin as I push past her to the new horde coming out of the forest.
“Thank you Morrigan!” I hear someone say as I run to meet the creatures I have never fought before, I feel Emnos and the other appear near me as I swing my sword to cut through the first one. I go into the dance and I feel Anand join me, we protect each other as we slice through the creatures. We continue our dance for what seems like only a moment, when I hear a strange sound echo through the area, I see red glowing eyes coming out of the darkness of the forest.
Tell everyone to back off.
I look into Anand’s eyes, she stops as I do, I motion her to run back as I run back from the forest. I glance behind me to see either Satan or a version of Satan come out of the forest, I stop and turn to him as I watch him walk towards me with the demented fanged grin.
“Are you Satan, or someone else?” I ask him angrily.
“Iblis, you seem to recognize me.” He says as the grin widens.
“I have killed someone who looks like you.” I say with a smile.
“You may find I am not as easy.” He says with a laugh, I see Anand appear at my side.
“I am going to give you to magic now, this one is stronger than the one I know. Do not try to get his attention, I already know what his fangs and claws feel like. I prefer you not experience it.” I say as I look at her and she nods, I see fear in her eyes. “Let go of the fear, it will not help.” I whisper to her; she looks at me and gives me an uneasy smile. “I will take his attacks; I want you to get him from behind.” I whisper with a smile and she nods with a grin.
I feed magic into her as we run towards him, I run left she runs right, he turns to watch me, I swing my sword at him, he dodges as Anand swings at his back landing a hit. He turns to attack her and I swing my sword chopping off the arm he is raising to attack her, he screams in rage as he turns quickly, I feel the magic warn me, I jump to the left to avoid the claws as I hear her land another cut on him. I hear footsteps running toward us, I glance to see Beelzebub, Berith, Python, and Lucifer running toward us. I feel claws sink into my thigh, I look back to see Iblis grinning at me, I see Anand getting up off the ground. He lifts me up, and I feel myself fall to hang upside down as the claws dig deeper into my thigh, I see him bringing me closer to his fangs, I swing the sword once I am close enough. His head rolls across the ground as his body and I hit the ground, I pull the claws out of my thigh Lucifer appears on top of me.
“Lucifer?” I ask him, and he grins at me.
“It is fun that you recognize me, love.” He whispers down to me, I lift a sword to cut him his hand pins my wrist to the ground, I punch him with my free hand and he laughs. “I love it when you do that.” He says as he pins my other wrist to the ground, I glance past him to see Emnos and the others fighting Beelzebub, Berith, and Python as more run towards them from the forest. I see Emnos glance back to see me, he starts to run towards me, Python jumps in his way and starts attacking him, Cu Chulainn appears beside us I see his sword coming down to impale Lucifer. Beelzebub appears behind him and throws him away from us. “We have all this time to ourselves; my friends are making sure of that.” Lucifer says as his grin widens.
“Why?” I ask him angrily.
“Carnage keeps her promises, love.” He says as he leans down to kiss me and I look away from him, I feel him bite down into my neck, I scream in rage at him as I fight against him. He bites down harder and I feel blood trailing down my neck, I feel magic surge around us that feels like the one from Carnage’s circle.
“Lucifer, now is not the time for that. Send her to the place and let’s finish the battle.” I hear Carnage say angrily, he releases my neck with a grin as he looks up at her.
“Yes, Carnage.” He says as I vanish, a dark room appears around me as I feel my power ripped away from me, I get up off the floor and reach to the magic for fire to find it blocked off from me. I try to vanish for nothing to happen.
“A bird in a cage.” A voice whispers in the darkness.
“Who are you?” I ask them as I back away from the voice.
“As long as Time exists and Life exists, I will exist. I am Pain, you should know me well, by now.” The voice says with a laugh, I feel a wall against my back, yellow eyes glow in the darkness watching me. “I am not going to hurt you; I am not allowed to.” He says as he watches me.
“Where are we?” I ask him as I slide across the wall looking for a door.
“Far away from where you came from.” He whispers as he watches me.
“Why am I here?” I ask him, keeping him distracted with questions as I feel along the wall as I slide across it.
“A promise. If there is one thing Carnage never goes back on, it is a promise.” He says as he watches me.
“Can you light up the room?” I ask him as I feel a door knob.
“No, and that door will not open for you.” He says with a small laugh, I turn the knob and pull on it, it stays shut, I feel fear rise in me. “Your fear has a wonderful smell.” He whispers as the eyes get closer.
“Do not touch her.” I hear Carnage’s voice echo in the room, the eyes back away from me.
“Where are you?”
Lucifer sent me to a room. There is a man here called Pain?
“He is Carnage’s version of my Time. Can you get out?”
No, the door will not open, I cannot use any of my magic either or vanish.
“I will find you, do not let yourself break.”

I watch the yellow eyes as I try to keep myself calm, reminding myself she is stronger than my Creation and can do more to help me. Red glowing eyes appears in the room near the yellow eyes, I watch as the red eyes come closer.
“Without you, they will lose the war.” Carnage says with a laugh.
“How do you know? I am just one.” I ask angrily.
“You are the pebble in a giant pond, wherever you drop you affect everything.” She says as she watches me.
“I refuse to think just one God can make a difference, there are other Gods stronger than me.” I say angrily.
“Power is not important; it is the resolve. You would do anything to win, they will do anything to survive.” She says as she comes closer. “Even if it means running away to survive.” She whispers.
“What is the point of this war?” I ask her.
“This world is where everything started, whoever controls it has the most power, over the other worlds. I want it.” She says as she stops in front of me.
“Why?” I ask her.
“Because then I can do whatever I want with the other worlds, I can make new Gods, I can make new creatures, I could destroy worlds if I wanted to, or create more.” She says with a laugh. “The other Creation’s and Carnage’s are just copies of the original two, I am the origin Carnage and the Creation here is the origin. The puny things you are used to dealing with can only create when we allow them to, and they can die but we cannot.” She says as she watches me.
“Why would you want that kind of power?” I ask her.
“Anand just died.” She says with a laugh, I punch her, I feel pain shoot through my as I feel a hand around my throat. “You need to learn your place.” She whispers in my ear. “I am going to tell you every time one of your little friends die, as you suffer through pain. I will not give you enough to make you lose consciousness, just enough to enjoy watching you suffer.” She whispers as I feel the pain increase. “Aziz is dead.” She says in my ear.
“Please do not let Emnos, Dhuna and Cu Chulainn die.” I whisper through the pain as I feel tears in my eyes.
“Why not? They will just reincarnate.” She says with a laugh. “Dagda is dead, and Druas just died.” She says to me.
“Please stop this.” I say as I feel tears running down my face.
“I do not understand you Gods getting upset about someone dying, they just come back to life.” She says with a laugh.
“Because we know dying is painful, and we have to wait for them to return. The world is just not the same without them in it.” I say angrily as tears fall down my face.
“Cu Chulainn is dead.” She whispers to me, pain shoots through me, I do not feel the pain she is giving me anymore.
“Please stop.” I whisper to her, the yellow eyes laugh.
“She cannot feel you anymore, witch.” He says with a giggle, I feel the hand release my neck and I fall to the floor.
“Emnos and Dhuna are next.” She says to me. “I cannot wait to see them take that final breath.” She says with a laugh.
“Creation is getting close, Carnage.” The yellow eyes says to her, I feel a finger on my neck and we vanish.
“They are dead now, Morrigan.” Carnage says with a laugh as she walks away from me. “You have no one left. I will enjoy watching your misery.” She says to me, I glare up at her as I feel the strange sensation of the emotions mixing in me again as I stand. I feel the magic and the power return to me as I glare at her, she looks over at me amused. “Are you turning into the thing the Gods fear most?” She asks me with a grin on her face. I feel the power wrap around me as I glare at her, I feel tears running down my face as the blades appear in my hands, I see a light and I look down to see my blades glowing as the feathers start to fall around me. I hear her walk towards me as I watch the sword, I throw the other one at her and I hear her make a sound.
I look over to see her on the floor looking at me with rage, I appear over her as I watch her. “It would seem I can hurt you, I may not be able to kill you. But I can make your existence a painful one.” My voice echoes around the room as I kneel down beside her, I stab the other sword through her chest, she screams in pain and I see the one thing I love most. Fear.
“Morrigan, you need to let go of that. Come with me.” I hear Creation say to me from the other side of the room.
“Why should I?” I ask as I slowly turn the blade in Carnage’s chest, enjoying the sounds she is making.
“Because you are turning into the thing you hate.” Creation says as she comes closer to me.
“How can I hate myself, if I am making the one who is causing so much suffering to suffer just as much?” I ask as I grin at Carnage as I pull the other sword out of her.
“Torturing someone is not right, Morrigan. You know that.” She says quietly as she kneels beside me, I look at her with a glare.
“She tortured me with pain, dreams, and the deaths of the people I care about. She deserves everything I am going to give her.” I say angrily. “Leave or you will join her.” I say as I look back at Carnage and shove the blade beside the other one, grinning as she screams in pain. I see Creation touch her on the shoulder and Carnage vanishes my blades hitting the floor, I feel a hand on my shoulder and I feel her taking away my emotions. I glare at her and back hand her, she grabs on tighter and holds my wrist, I feel the emotions leaving me faster. I bash my head into her. “Leave me alone!” I yell angrily at her, she gives me a gentle smile as I feel magic surge from her, I feel my power being ripped away from me as the emotions vanish, my eyes close as I feel myself fall to sleep.
I open my eyes and roll over, no one is there and I feel tears come to my eyes. I throw the blanket over my head as I hear the door open. “Morrigan, you need to get up.” I hear Theros say to me.
“They called you to this world too?” I ask quietly.
“No, I was made in this world.” He says with a laugh. “Creation sent you back home after you went all evil.” He says as I feel the blanket being pulled away from me.
“Go away, Theros.” I say angrily.
“Not going to happen, you have thing you need to take care of.” He says as he finally jerks the blanket out of my hand and off me. I sit up on the bed glaring at him as I feel tears fall down my face.
“I do not care about anything outside of this room, I just want to be left alone!” I yell at him.
“Not even Myrddin?” He asks me as he raises an eyebrow, I lay back down on the bed and turn away from him.
“Go away.” I say quietly, I feel the bed move and a hand on my shoulder pushing me onto my back, I glare at him. “Theros, get off me.” I say angrily.
“No.” Theros says with a smile. “First time ever doing this, it is almost weird.” Theros says with a frown and laughs.
“I will send you flying.” I say angrily.
“You would hurt me?” Theros says with a hurt look on his face. “I could never hurt you, so that is hurtful and mean.” Theros says as he watches me.
“Go away.” I say with a frown, he grins at me as he leans down and kisses me on the cheek.
“Not until you get out of bed, your hair is rebelling.” He says with a giggle as he looks at my hair.
“Why are you torturing me? Did Vhaanth put you up to it?” I ask him.
“It is not torture if I want to make the time you have to wait an enjoyable one. We are all taking shifts in spending time with you, so we know you are happy and having fun.” He says with a laugh. “I am the lucky one, I get you first.” He says as he winks at me, I fight the smile trying to appear on my face, and he laughs. “Not to mention, do you not want to hear Emnos’ last words to you? Vhaanth sent him over himself, Cu Chulainn also had words for you.” Theros asks me with a smile, I feel tears fall down my face and I nod to him. “Then get out of bed and let me brush that monster on your head, I will take you to Vhaanth after.” He says quietly with a sad smile, he kisses me on the cheek again and jumps off the bed. I slide to the edge of the bed and walk over to him as he turns to me with the brush, after he is done with my hair, he tosses the brush onto the bed and offers me his arm with a grin. I take it and we vanish, Vhaanth’s room appearing around us.
“Creation won the war thanks to you, though she questions your methods.” Vhaanth says to me as he lays down the book in his hand.
“What did she do?” Theros asks with a frown.
“Tortured Carnage.” Vhaanth says as he raises an eyebrow at me.
“Why not just kill her, Morrigan?” Theros asks me.
“That Carnage cannot be killed.” Vhaanth says as he stands and walks over to me, he grabs me and hugs me tightly. “I am sorry, Morrigan, for your loss.” He whispers in my ear, I feel pain shoot through me and tears fall down my face as he leans away from me.
“What did they.” I start to ask but I feel the pain lock up my throat.
“Emnos said, do not lose yourself in your thoughts until he returns. He wants you to find someone to help keep you in the moment until he gets back, and he also said he loves you.” Vhaanth says with a sad smile. “He also said do not call it torture, he wants you to try to be happy without him until he returns.” He says with a laugh.
“Cu Chulainn says that he is sorry he could not protect you, he hopes you are free. If not when he gets back, he will hunt across all the worlds if he has to, to find you. He also said he loves you.” Vhaanth says with a smile.
“Thank you, Vhaanth.” I say quietly.
“So, what are you going to do?” Vhaanth asks me. “Lose yourself to thoughts, or enjoy the moments until he returns?” He asks me.
“It is his dying wish, so I kind of have to.” I say with a smile, Vhaanth laughs and nods.
