Chapter Thirty

“That does sound like something we should avoid.” Dagda says with a smirk as he watches me. “Anyway to keep her calm?” He asks Cu Chulainn.
“Give her a window, she will go off into thoughts until she is needed.” Cu Chulainn says to him.
“Why are you helping him?” I ask Cu Chulainn angrily as I turn to glare up at him, he grins at me.
“Trying to help you behave, Morrigan.” Cu Chulainn says with a laugh.
“Follow.” Dagda says to us and walks away from us, I push Cu Chulainn’s arms off me and follow Dagda. He leads us through hallways and up stairs and through more hallways, to a door with a crow on it, he opens it and motions us inside. I walk in to see it looks like my room at the mansion except the wall that leads to the outside is a wall, I walk over to the window and looks outside. I hit it to see if it will break to find it will stay intact, Dagda laughs. “The castle is locked down to you, Morrigan. No way out.” He says as he walks out of the room and closes the door.
“Are you okay with being trapped?” I ask him, as I look over at Cu Chulainn.
“Not really but I believe in trying to make the best of a situation, fighting against it when there is not really any way out is not going to help.” Cu Chulainn says with a small smile, I frown at him.
“What do you mean?” I ask him.
“We are trapped in the castle, but that doesn’t mean we cannot still do something. We can walk around get to know the other Gods here, find out if any are trapped like we are. Then we can start learning more about the Gods around us and exactly what the plans are, the more we know the more we are prepared.” He says with a smile.
“That doesn’t sound like a bad plan.” I say with a laugh.
“But it requires you to be friendly.” He says with a frown as he crosses his arms, I grin at him.
“I will be friendly, promise.” I say to him, he smiles at me and offers his arm to me, I run over to him and take it, he leads me out of the room and through the halls.
“If we see the Emnos look alike again, be nice and apologize. Explain the one you have in your world hurt you, and that seeing his face is still painful since it didn’t happen that long ago.” Cu Chulainn whispers to me.
“I will do as you say.” I say to him and he smiles at me. “What if we run into my look alike? That one is hard to face.” I say with a frown.
“Just say that the only look alike you have had interaction with before her was a Goddess you were reincarnated from and she went mad trying to destroy the world. So you have trouble trusting people who look like you.” Cu Chulainn says with a laugh.
“You have an answer for everything.” I say with a frown.
“It is a gift.” Cu Chulainn says with a grin.
“Then I have a question you might get stuck on.” I say with a smirk, he frowns at me. “Why did you have an issue with me willing to sacrifice our relationship to save the humans?” I ask him with a smile.
“I felt betrayed, like I did not mean anything to you. You didn’t even try to argue against it that I know of, and that hurt.” He says quietly.
“I did argue it, Lucifer gave me the option when I did. Lose you or all humans die.” I say to him, as we continue down the hallway. “I figured I could end it to make him happy while I figured out a way to fight against him.” I say quietly, but then you stopped having anything to do with me and I lost track of time.” I add as I look up at him. “This is what I said to him word for word. Lucifer, I do not care what you think of what I do. I do what I want because it makes me happy. I have spent a long time trying to make others happy and I am done. He is what I want and I will keep him.” I say quietly. “After that he threatened to end the agreement and unleash the creatures.” I add.
“I did not know.” Cu Chulainn says quietly.
“Never assume I do anything I do not want to do, without trying to fight it first.” I say to him and he nods, the Emnos look alike comes out of the hallway in front of us from the left. He looks over at us with a frown.
“You two look like someone stole your cookie.” He says with a small smile, and I laugh.
“That is the first thing that comes to mind for you?” I ask him with a smirk.
“First funny thing, thought I would try it and see what happens. Worst thing that could happen is you run off again.” He says with a laugh.
“You are different than the one I am used to.” I say with a frown.
“Is he married?” He asks me with a grin.
“No, in fact he told me he didn’t want me anymore.” I say angrily.
“Ah, see that is our difference. I am married, I am physically and magically incapable of touching anyone else that is a female in any intimate way for eternity.” He says with a laugh.
“I would love to do that to him without being stuck with him.” I say as I glare at him, he grins at me.
“Do I look just like him?” He asks me with a frown.
“You could be his twin.” Cu Chulainn says angrily.
“That explains why she looks at me that way, what are you to her?” He asks Cu Chulainn.
“I am her demigod, Cu Chulainn. Nice to meet you.” He says with a bow.
“I am Morrigan, Goddess of War. Nice to meet you.” I say to him with a smile.
“I am Aziz, God of Lust. Nice to meet you both.” He says with a grin.
“Aziz who are you bothering?” I hear a voice I recognize coming down the hallway he came out of, Anand walks up beside him with a grin up at him.
“Morrigan and her demigod. Apparently I look like someone in her world.” Aziz says as he smiles down at her, I recognize the smile and I feel pain shoot through me.
“You two are married to each other.” I say quietly, Aziz nods to me. “We should continue our walk.” I say with a smile as I fight the tears, he gives me a sad smile and nods. We walk past them and continue our way down the hallway, I feel Cu Chulainn squeeze my hand.
“You did a good job being friendly.” Cu Chulainn says quietly to me, and I nod. I see Lucifer walking towards us, and I pull Cu Chulainn to a stop. He walks over to us with a smile.
“New Gods?” He asks us.
“I am a demigod, my name is Cu Chulainn. This is my Goddess Morrigan, she is War.” Cu Chulainn says with a smile and a bow.
“Nice to meet you both, I am Samael, Sin of Pride.” He says with a smile. “Is she a silent one?” He asks Cu Chulainn.
“We have someone who looks like you in our world, I will just say he was not the friendliest sort.” Cu Chulainn says with a sad smile.
“Well, just because we look alike does not mean we are the same.” Samael says with a laugh. “You might find a lot of Gods who look like ones you know, the Creation’s tend to think alike.” He says with a frown. “I have already seen your look alike, Anand. She is a very happy God, it is strange.” He says with a grin.
“We have met her, and her husband.” Cu Chulainn says with a smile.
“This one seems like she is the angry version.” Samael says as he frowns down at me.
“I have a lot to be angry about.” I say with a smile. “Are you being kept prisoner in the castle?” I ask him.
“No, I have free reign. Though I have been here for some time.” He says as he watches me. “I am guessing you were less than cordial with Creation so she had you locked down.” He says to me.
“I ran from her, tried to stab her.” I say with a grin, and he laughs.
“Creation here is a whole different kind of creature compared to the others, she has no patience and will make you suffer if you make her angry. If you want freedom, you should try to make it up to her.” He says with a laugh.
“I refuse to grovel.” I say angrily, he grins at me.
“You are going to be a fun one, I can tell. I am glad you are on our side of the fight.” He says with a laugh as he walks past us.
“Well, he is different from the one in our world.” Cu Chulainn says with a smile down at me, as we continue walking.
“Morrigan?” I hear someone say behind us, I turn to see Alcmene.
“Alcmene?” I ask with a frown, and he grins at me, we walk back to him. “How are you here?” I ask him.
“My Creation sent me here, this one is a pain.” He says with a frown as he crosses his arms.
“She have you on lockdown?” I ask him, he shakes his head. “She has me on lockdown.” I say angrily.
“What did you do?” He asks me with a laugh.
“Ran away and tried to whack her with my sword.” I say angrily, he laughs harder.
“Somehow that does not surprise me, you are stubborn when you want to be.” He says as he grins down at me.
“What did you do in your meeting with her?” I ask him with a frown.
“Talked to her, listened to what she had to say and answer her questions.” He says with a laugh.
“If you had tried that, your meeting would have gone better.” I hear Dagda say behind me, I bottle up the rage as it appears.
“Still like the wind, Morrigan.” Alcmene says with a laugh. “I see you have a negative effect on the Goddess Dagda.” Alcmene says as he looks over at him, Dagda laughs.
“I have a special ability, it is called Morrigan’s Wrath.” Dagda says with a grin as he walks up beside me, I glare up at him as I continue bottling up my anger.
“Maybe if someone had been more straightforward with me, instead of hiding information from me. I would have been more acquiescing to the request.” I say angrily.
“I will keep that in mind for next time.” Dagda says as his grin widens.
“There will not be a next time.” I growl at him.
“You should try making up with Creation, maybe she will give you more freedoms.” Alcmene says with a grin to me.
“Is Morrigan the only one who has been difficult?” Cu Chulainn asks with a pained look on his face.
“Yes.” Dagda says with a laugh.
“I am tired of being used, and after my talk with my Creation I was less than willing to be someone else’s puppet that falls in line and let them do whatever they want.” I say angrily.
“What did she say, Morrigan?” Cu Chulainn asks me with a frown.
“I asked her if she was ever going to stop asking me to do things, and she said probably not.” I say quietly.
“Well, that explains a lot.” Cu Chulainn says with a smile.
“Would you be willing to make up with Creation? If you do, you will be allowed into the city.” Dagda asks me with a smile.
“I will attempt it; I am not making any promises.” I say angrily.
“Mind if I tag along for the entertainment this is going to bring me for centuries?” Alcmene asks Dagda with a laugh.
“I do not mind at all; I think this will be very entertaining.” Dagda says with a grin, as he offers a hand to Alcmene and touches my arm when Alcmene takes his hand, we vanish. The Circle on the castle grounds appears around us, I feel the familiar tingle of magic as she appears sitting on the slab. Cu Chulainn leads me over to her, she watches me with a smile.
Please bite your tongue and try to be nice, I am begging you.
I will attempt it, but she has a way of making me angry.
Creation laughs, as she stands up. “Cu Chulainn, I kind of feel bad for you.” She says with a grin.
“Just try to be a little less infuriating.” Cu Chulainn says with a sad smile.
“Morrigan, I understand that you are here to make up for what you did. No need to, you coming out here with the intention is enough. You are no longer on lockdown, I wanted to see if you were capable of it.” She says to me with a smile. “Your Creation and I have been talking about you and she told me how to handle you, so I will treat you accordingly as long as you work with me.” She says as she watches me.
“What exactly is required of me? I hate sitting around doing nothing.” I ask her with a frown as I watch her.
“You are going to be miserable then, we are waiting for the battle.” She says with a frown. “Your creation said that you cannot feel time. Is that true?” She asks me with curiosity in her eyes.
“Yes, it is.” I say to her.
“I keep her grounded, if left to her own devices she would wander off into her thoughts and never return.” Cu Chulainn says quietly.
“Maybe my Father Time could help you with that.” She says with a smile.
“I find it very useful when I am prisoner, so I think I will hold onto it.” I say with a smile, she laughs.
“I can see how it would be, I will leave you as you are. But if it becomes a problem, I will fix it.” She says to me. “For now, you have free reign of the city and the castle, continue being on your best behavior and I may unleash you on the world.” She says with a grin.
“Yes, Creation.” I say annoyed, she vanishes.
“Not as entertaining as I had hoped.” Alcmene says with disappointment in his voice.
“Creation has a way of doing that.” Dagda says with a laugh.
“I am going to run to the end of my leash, see you two later.” I say as I turn around to face them with a glare, they laugh. Cu Chulainn offers me his arm with a smile, I take it and he leads me into the city, it has more shops than I have ever seen before. It also has several high-class taverns, as we explore the city, I try to find any portion of it that could be called a poor district, but we find none. Everyone in the city is middle class or higher, I find myself get more irritated the more we walk around. Someone found a solution to something I have been trying to solve. Cu Chulainn takes me into one of the taverns as the sun is going down, he pulls out a chair at one of the empty tables and I sit down. He slides the chair back to the table and walks over to the counter, I watch him talk to the woman behind the counter, she nods to him and he walks back over to me and sits down across from me.
“This city is well developed.” Cu Chulainn says with a smile as he watches me, I glare up at him. “I knew something was bothering you.” He says with a laugh. “What is it?” He asks me.
“I have not seen a poor portion in this city anywhere, I have always tried my best to get rid of that so everyone is more or less on the same level. But no matter what I do, there are always less fortunate.” I say angrily.
“Why not ask who worked on this city when we get back, and then ask them what they did.” He says with a smile.
“I plan on it.” I say to him as I watch Anand and Aziz walk in together, I look back at Cu Chulainn.
“Sometimes, I really hate being your demigod.” Cu Chulainn says with a sad smile.
“Mind if we join you?” Aziz asks us with a smile.
“I do not mind.” I say to him with a smile, Cu Chulainn stands and moves to the same side of the table as I and sits in the chair beside me, Aziz pulls out the chair for Anand, once she is seated, he pushes it back to the table and walks over to the counter.
“What do you think of the city?” Anand asks me, I hear Cu Chulainn stifling a laugh.
“It is very well developed, do you know who did it?” I ask her with a smile as I send a trickle of pain into him.
“I am sorry, Morrigan.” Cu Chulainn says to me as he grimaces.
“I do not.” She says with a laugh.
“City planning and development is kind of an obsession of hers.” Cu Chulainn says with a smile.
“Strange for War to be interested in that.” Anand says with a smile as Aziz sits in the chair next to her.
“What are you interested in?” I ask her.
“Combat strategy and war tactics.” She says to me.
“I will gladly show you my combat strategy in the arena, and you can show me yours.” I say with a smile.
“Sounds like it could be fun.” She says with a laugh. “Morrigan, may I ask you a personal question?” She asks me with a frown.
“Depends on the question.” I say with a small smile.
“Are you married?” She asks me.
“No, I am not.” I say to her. “No offense, but I would rather not talk about that right now.” I say with a sad smile, she nods.
“Aziz, is your twin here?” Cu Chulainn asks him.
“Yes, he is actually. He is off in the library in the castle, he found out there is a portion of the library that chronicles the life of every God that has ever existed. He was very excited.” Aziz says with a laugh, a couple of women come over to the table and set down plates with food on it and drinks. Cu Chulainn hands them gold coins and they smile at him before walking away. Cu Chulainn grabs a plate of roast with roasted vegetables and sets it down in front of me with a smile.
“Thank you, Cu Chulainn.” I say with a smile to him, he grins at me before grabbing his plate. We sit in silence while we eat, I find I actually prefer the silence, I focus on my plate and drink. When we are finished a woman comes over and takes the plates away.
“Morrigan, can you change into a crow?” Anand asks me, I look up from my cup.
“Yes, I can.” I say to her and drink the wine in the cup.
“How long did it take you to learn to fly? I had a lot of difficulty with it.” She asks me with a laugh.
“Only a few seconds, I used to watch birds outside the balcony door of my room. I just thought of what they did while taking off and it came easy for me.” I say with a smile as I remember it.
“That is impressive, makes me wish I had spent time watching birds when I was a human. I was too busy being courted to do things like that.” She says with a smile.
“I would have been busy with that, but I preferred scaring off princes and Lords.” I say to her and she laughs.
“You were born a princess as well?” She asks me.
“Yes, though I spent more time out of the palace than in it. I would sneak out in peasant clothes and work for a living, just to be free.” I say to her.
“I preferred the cushy life of a princess.” She says with a grin.
“Morrigan, are you ready to head to the room?” Cu Chulainn asks me, I nod to him. “Thank you for joining us.” He says as he stands and bows, he takes my hand and we vanish. The room appears around us, the wall that is not supposed to be there is gone and opens up to a balcony, I walk over to the bed and lay down, I close my eyes and fall asleep.
I open my eyes as the memories of everything that has happened flood into my mind, I roll over to see hazel eyes watching me. “Good morning, you slept one day.” Cu Chulainn says with a smile. “What do you want to do today?” He asks me.
“Good morning, there is nothing to do.” I say as I frown at him, he laughs.
“Then what should we do?” He asks me.
“I do not know.” I say with a smile.
“Well, we cannot lay in bed all day. If you feel like fighting, we could go to the arena.” He says with a smile.
“That sounds like a good idea to me.” I say with a laugh, he grins at me and sits up on the bed, after standing up he goes over to the wardrobe while I get off the bed and walk over to him, he brushes my hair for me once he is done, he places it back in the wardrobe. He offers his arm to me with a smile, I take it and we vanish. The arena appears around us, I see Anand fighting a man.
“Want to fight her or me?” Cu Chulainn asks me.
“I will fight you.” I say with a smile and he nods as his sword appears in his hand, my swords appear in my hands as he backs away from me. He grins at me as he prepares himself for me to strike, I run towards him and let the anger go as I fight him. After a while I see him distracted by something and I stop before I whack him in the face with my sword, I look over to see Anand walking towards me.
“She wants to fight you; guess you didn’t hear that.” Cu Chulainn says with a laugh, I shake my head with a grin and his sword vanishes as he walks away from me, I turn to face her. She smiles at me as she starts running towards me, I am surprised her skills are lacking for her to be focused on combat skills. I whack her with the flat side of the blade more times than I care to count, she laughs every time I do. Until I see her leave me an opening and she ends up on her back with my sword at her throat.
“You are good, Morrigan. I will learn from this fight.” She says with a smile as I let the swords vanish and offer my hand, she takes it and I help her stand.
“She beat you.” I hear Aziz say with a laugh from behind me as him and Cu Chulainn walk to us.
“Yes, it was a good fight. You must have fought a lot to be so good at it.” Anand says to me.
“She beat Dagda.” Cu Chulainn says with a grin as he walks up beside me.
“You have to be joking.” Anand says with a frown, as Aziz walks to her side.
“It is true, she had him as flat on his back as she had you.” Cu Chulainn says with a laugh.
“Then you are way out of my league.” Anand says with a grin.
“I have been in a lot of fights.” I say with a smile. “Can we fight more, Cu Chulainn?” I ask him as I look up at him.
“Actually, I was going to ask if I could fight you.” Aziz says to me, I look over at him with a frown.
“I am better at fighting than she is at the moment, she cannot ever figure out where I am coming from.” Aziz says with a small smile.
“If you would stop disappearing, it would make things easier.” She says as she frowns up at him.
“I will fight you.” I say to him as my swords appear in my hands, Anand and Cu Chulainn vanish to the side as curved swords like Emnos’ appear in his hands.
“I will stop if I think I am going to hit you.” He says with a grin.
“Do not bother, because you will not.” I say with a small smile, he laughs as he disappears, I turn and raise a sword up his blades land on it a second later, I see surprise on his face. I enjoy blocking his attacks that I let it go on longer than I should, the smile on his face tells me he is enjoying it as well.
“Cannot find an opening to beat me?” He asks me with a laugh.
“There were plenty, you seemed to be enjoying yourself. If you want, I can end it now.” I say to him.
“If you can.” He says with a grin, I run towards him and I see surprise that I am attacking first since I have let him initiate all the attacks until now, I see him watching me to figure out how I am going to attack. I give him no warning as I smile, at the last second, I drop letting my sword in my right hand vanish and holding out my arm, I sweep his legs out from under him with my momentum. I stand up and place my blade on his neck.
“Good fight.” I say to him and he laughs as he stands.
“You are better than I thought.” He says as he smiles down at me, I feel them appear beside us, I look up at Cu Chulainn who smiles down at me.
“You should see an ability she has; it has won her some fights. It won her the fight with Dagda.” Cu Chulainn says to them.
“Can you withstand it?” Aziz asks him with a laugh.
“Yes, she taught it to me. I have to do it with her to survive the onslaught of attacks.” Cu Chulainn says with a grin.
“Please show us.” Anand says excitedly, I nod as I make my sword appear again as Cu Chuliann makes his sword appear.
“Dance with me?” He asks with a grin as he bows to me.
“Anytime, Cu Chulainn.” I say with a smile as I laugh, I see him start and I join him, it feels like we had only been fighting for seconds when I feel him stop. I pause and frown at him.
“I think they have seen enough; we have been doing this for an hour.” He says with a smile, I nod to him as I let the swords vanish, they appear near us with grins on their faces.
“For someone who focuses on city planning you are a deadly fighter.” Anand says with a laugh, Aziz laughs with her.
“I have to agree, at times I was worried about Cu Chulainn. But your sword would stop before hitting him and swing around him.” Aziz says with a smile.
“He has a lot to learn still, but I am not going to hurt him. While using it I have perfect control over the blades.” I say to them.
“We need to dance more often.” Cu Chulainn says with a smile.
“Why do you call it a dance?” Anand asks him.
“It is called Dance of War.” I say to her.
“That would explain it.” She says with a grin. “If you two do not mind, can I speak to Morrigan privately?” She asks them, Aziz nods and Cu Chulainn looks down at me, I nod to him and they walk away from us. She takes my arm and leads me away from them.
“What is it you wish to talk about?” I ask her.
“I have noticed that you try to avoid looking at Aziz as much as possible, may I ask why?” She asks me as she frowns at me.
“I have a God in my world that looks just like him, we used to be together, until recently.” I say quietly looking at the ground as we walk.
“Did you break it off or did he?” She asks me.
“He did, he told me he did not want me.” I say quietly, she pulls me to a stop and looks at me.
“What could have made him say that?” She asks me as he frown deepens.
“I told him that I would rather die than let myself be a prisoner and wait for him to save me. He told me that he would rather I live, since it takes so long for me to reincarnate.” I say to her.
“How long?” She asks me.
“Twelve hundred years.” I say to her.
“Why that long?” She asks me.
“Because I went into the Gods graveyard and dug up all my previous lives and absorbed the power in them to get stronger, every reincarnation I gain more power from all those lives and it takes time.” I say to her.
“Why would you do something like that?” She asks me.
“To save my son.” I say with a smile. “He is not blood related, but we have the bond. I would do anything for him, if this is my punishment, I will take it.” I say to her, she gives me a sad smile.
“I have never enjoyed that kind of bond, I am envious of you.” She says with a smile. “What if you had to make a choice between having what I have with Aziz, or your son. Which would you choose?” She asks me.
“My son.” I say quickly, and she grins.
“So, if you knew that you had to give up your Lust to have your son, you would do it without hesitation?” She asks me.
“Yes, Myrddin is my happiness.” I say to her.
“I am glad you have something that makes you happy, every time you smile you seem sad.” She says with a sad smile.
“I think about all things I am going to have to do in the future.” I say with a laugh.
“You should focus on the present more, read a book, play a game, have fun with your demigod.” She says with a grin as she winks.
“I cannot read books, and the only fun I can have with him is torturing him while he is in his animal form.” I say with a smile.
“Animal form?” She asks me with a frown.
“Lets vanish behind them and I will show you.” I say with a grin and she nods, we vanish behind Cu Chulainn and Aziz while they talk to each other. “Change.” I say to Cu Chulainn, he looks back at me in surprise which turns to a glare before he changes, I giggle as I watch him.
“Oh my, a bunny.” Anand says excitedly as her eyes open wide in surprise, she reaches out to grab him and he runs.
“Morrigan explain to her what touching me feels like!” Cu Chulainn yells angrily as he runs, and I laugh, she looks at me with a confused look.
“Every where you touch him in that form feels like it does when we are crows.” I say with a grin, and she laughs. “Come to me.” I say to Cu Chulainn and I feel him struggle as he hops to me, I pick him up and hug him as I kiss him on top of the head, and Anand pets his back.
“She tortures me with this.” Cu Chulainn says annoyed.
“How is that torture?” Aziz asks with a grin.
“Imagine her petting you like you are a bunny stuck in the form of a bunny and not able to do anything.” Cu Chulainn says angrily, Aziz frowns in thought.
“Yeah, that does sound like it could be torture.” He says as he watches me play with Cu Chulainn’s belly, and laughs.
“Maybe I should do this to you when you are in crow form again, Morrigan.” Cu Chulainn says with a laugh.
“If it will make you stop complaining I will.” I say with a smile as I play with his ears, Anand and Aziz laugh.
“I promise not to complain if you let me do it to you, just once.” Cu Chulainn says to me.
“Deal.” I say as I lift him up and kiss his belly.
“Morrigan! Do not do that!” Cu Chulainn yells as his feet kicks at me, Aziz and Anand laugh harder.
“But I love the bunny belly.” I say with a frown. “I am going to take him to the room to torture him more, thank you for duels. I had fun.” I say with a smile to them and vanish. My room appears around me and I walk over to the bed with him and lay down.
“Are you okay?” Cu Chulainn asks me.
“Yeah, I am fine.” I say with a smile, as I play with his ears.
“How about we do our deal, right now?” He asks me, and I laugh.
“As you wish, Cu Chulainn.” I say with a smile. “You can change.” I say to him and he changes laying on the bed beside me, he grins at me. “Do not make this dirty.” I say with a frown, he laughs as I change. I feel him pick me up, wrapping a hand around my back to keep my wings in place. “Why grab me that way?” I ask him, a devious grin grows on his face, I feel him kiss me repeatedly on my stomach. “Cu Chulainn!” I yell as I giggle. “Stop that!” I yell at him as he starts laughing, he looks down at me with a smile.
“Do you like that?” He asks me.
“It tickles.” I say angrily.
“Exactly.” He says with a laugh. “Not to mention, you like doing this and this and this and this.” He says as he does all the things, I do to him.
“Cu Chulainn!” I yell at him and he starts laughing again.
“So, what do you have to say for yourself now?” He asks me with a grin, and I laugh.
“You promised not to complain.” I say to him and he frowns. “You did not think that one through, so I get bunny belly as much as I want.” I say as I laugh.
“You are evil.” He says as his frown deepens.
“It was your idea; I just went along with it.” I say as I change and grin at him, he watches me with a smile on his face. “What are you smiling about?” I ask him with a laugh.
“Nothing, I was just thinking.” He says with a laugh. “What did Anand want?” He asks me.
“To ask me questions about how we are different.” I say to him.
“You two are like night and day, she may look like you but she is nothing like you.” He says with a laugh.
“I was surprised she is that bad at melee.” I say with a frown. “I was expecting to fight myself, but instead I got a lousy copy.” I say to him.
“Yeah, her melee is pretty horrible. I think she depends on Aziz to keep her alive, which is no way to fight.” He says with a frown.
“I am interested as to what his brother is like, though. Obsession always seems like an easy friend to make.” I say with a grin.
“Shall we go to the library and pester a book worm?” He asks me with a laugh.
“A very good idea.” I say with a laugh, he gets off the bed and pulls me to the edge and offers his arm to me with a smile, I take it and we wander the hallways until we find the library. The library is bigger than I thought it would be, it takes up six floors of the castle on just one side, Cu Chulainn and I had to wonder around the floors of the library until we finally found a man reading a book in a chair over by a window. I see him tracing swirls on the book cover as he reads, and I feel my skin crawl at the memory. He looks up at us over the book, and frowns at Cu Chulainn.
“Who are you and why are you with Anand?” He asks as he stands and sets the book down on the table.
“I am not Anand, I am Morrigan.” I say to him, he looks at me confused and his eyes glow, and then he nods with a smile.
“I apologize, I have been in this library reading and Aziz has not filled me in on anything.” He says with a smile and bows slightly.
“It is okay, what is your name?” I ask him with a smile.
“My name is Druas, God of Obsession.” He says with a smile
“I am Morrigan, Goddess of War.” I say to him.
“I am Cu Chulainn, her demigod.” Cu Chulainn says with a smile and a bow.
“Interesting, a demigod. Not many Gods have one or brought theirs here.” Druas says as he looks at Cu Chulainn like he is a curiosity.
“My Creation suggested I bring him along, though I enjoy his company so he would have come anyways.” I say with a laugh.
“Yes, each Creation only allowed a certain number of Gods from each world to cross over. Who else came with you?” He asks me with a smile.
“Just my demigod and I.” I say to him, he frowns.
“That is abnormal.” He says as he watches me, I feel his magic probe mine. “Ah, I think I know why. It isn’t the number that counts it is the power. The power between you two matches all of the Gods that came from my world, you two are quite strong.” He says with a grin. “And funnily enough, Morrigan, I was just reading your book.” He says as he picks up the book he was reading and shows it to me, I see my name on the cover of it.
“How far have you gotten?” I ask him.
“Well funny enough you just started your relationship with Cu Chulainn.” He says with a laugh.
“How descriptive do those books get?” I ask with a frown, and Druas laughs.
“Not very, it is more like an intellectual account, not a romance novel.” He says with a smile.
“Thank the Gods for that.” I say with an uneasy smile.
“I really like the Obsession from your world that I have seen so far, he does as Lust wants but he has a good soul.” Druas says with a smile.
“Yes, he does and keep that in mind for a little bit later in that book. Dhuna is a good person, he just made mistakes.” I say with a sad smile, Druas looks at me with concern.
“What does he do exactly?” He asks me with a frown.
“I prefer not to say, you will read it soon.” I say with a smile, he nods. “We will leave you to your reading, nice to meet you Druas.” I say to him.
“Nice to meet you both as well.” He says with a smile as he sits back down and opens the book up again as we walk back out of the library, we start walking down the hallway when I hear footsteps running towards, I turn to see Aziz and I frown at him.
“Aziz, are you okay?” I ask him, he looks at me confused.
“Who the hell is Aziz?” He asks me.
“Please do not tell me we have another fucking one.” Cu Chulainn says angrily.
“Another one?” He asks him with a frown. “I am Emnos you dolt.” He says angrily at Cu Chulainn.
“How did you get here?” I ask him.
“Creation sent me, she got tired of being tortured by me. Who is Aziz?” He asks me with a frown, I see Aziz walking towards us with Anand, and I point behind him. Emnos turns around and laughs hysterically.
