“Funny, I know Vhaanth you are not him. Cu Chulainn who is this man?” I ask as I turn to look up at him with a smile.
“Vhaanth.” He says with a frown as he looks down at me, I look back at the man.
“Good looking is he not?”
Stop reading my thoughts, it is disturbing enough hearing them once without you repeating them.
“Still do not believe us?” Vhaanth asks me with a grin, the grin on this face is full of mischief, I frown at him.
“What did I ask of you after I woke up and found him dead?” I ask him.
“To take you to the place where sleeping giants lie.” He says with a sad smile.
“I believe you now. Why does this form look like he is up to absolutely no good? You look like a man who would constantly cause me problems.” I say as I glare up at him, he grins at me as he winks.
“That is just the way I am, though I have taken over the role of leading the Gods so my mischief has been toned down.” He says with a laugh. “By the way Creation told me what you were thinking.” He says with a wink, I feel my face heat up.
“She is just as bad as you.” I say as I glare at him and he laughs.
“What were you thinking, Morrigan?” Cu Chulainn asks behind me.
“She thinks I am good looking.” Vhaanth says with a giggle.
“I am going to kill you, Vhaanth.” I say angrily, and Cu Chulainn laughs.
“He is good looking when he is not an old man.” He says as he walks beside me to grin down at me.
“So this is what he looked like when you first met him?” I ask Cu Chulainn with a frown as I motion to Vhaanth.
“Yes, Morrigu absolutely hated him. I thought he was funny.” Cu Chulainn says with a laugh.
“For some reason she did not appreciate it when I made boulders fall inside her home.” Vhaanth says with a frown.
“Those were from you?” I ask him angrily.
“They are still there?” He asks me with a laugh.
“Yes, they are.” I say as I frown at him. “What is your weapon?” I ask him as I stand back, a long pole appears in his hand with large curved blades at each end. “I wish I could fight you, to see how good you are.” I say angrily as I watch him
“I see this is going to be fun, she is already getting angry about her restrictions.” Cu Chulainn says with a pained look as he looks down at me.
“I think I have a right to be angry with myself for letting the creature get the better of me.” I say angrily as I glare up at him.
“I am guessing Morrigu was like this?” Vhaanth asks him with a smile.
“Yes, and she used to say those exact words to me with that exact look.” Cu Chulainn says with a small smile as he watches me.
“Is there any more responsibilities I have to take care of right now?” I ask Vhaanth with a frown.
“No, you are free to rest for a bit.” He says with a smile, I touch him and send him back to his room. I turn to Cu Chulainn with a smile.
“We are finally free to go back to bed.” I say to him and he frowns.
“If you are thinking what I think you are thinking of, I will have to say no. You need to rest to heal.” He says as he looks down at me as his frown deepens, I glare at him.
“What the hell am I going to do then?” I ask him angrily.
“Read a book.” He says with a grin, my eyes glow as rage builds in me and he vanishes, I feel someone appear in the room and I turn my anger on them to see Theros grinning at me.
“Who pissed you off?” He asks me with a laugh.
“I am being treated like a piece of expensive dinnerware.” I say angrily.
“Why? You are plenty strong enough.” Theros says with a smile as he grabs me and hugs me, pain shoots through me and he lets go of me with concern on his face. “What happened?” He asks me with a frown and rage in his eyes.
“A creature attacked.” I say as I hold onto him as I control my breathing.
“Why have you not been healed?” He asks me.
“Healing causes the wounds to rip apart more.” I say quietly as I walk over to the bed and sit down.
“How long are you out of the fighting?” He asks me as he sits on the bed beside me.
“About two weeks.” I say angrily.
“I think I know how to cheer you up; no woman is ever happy having to walk around in a night dress.” Theros says with a grin when I look up at him. “Lets go get you something fashionable to wear instead.” He says with a laugh, I smile at him and nod, he takes my hand and we vanish. A room appears around us, a young woman with long blonde hair stands by a dress hanging up pining it in spots with a needle, she turns to look at us with blue eyes and a smile.
“Theros, you have never brought a woman here before.” She says with a laugh.
“This one is special; she needs something loose like a night dress but appropriate for running a kingdom.” He says with a grin.
“Any reason why?” She asks with a frown as she walks to me.
“I was hurt while fighting.” I say with a frown.
“Heal her, Theros. There is no point in making a dress if she doesn’t have to suffer.” She says with a smile.
“There is a slight problem with that, her wounds are special.” Theros says with a frown, she looks at me closely as I feel magic come from her to probe my wounds.
“I have never seen this before.” She says with a frown. “I have something I think you might like.” She says as she turns away from us to open a wardrobe, she pulls out a long white dress with silver cuffs and a silver neckline, I smile when I see it and she laughs. “That is the benefit of my magic specialty, I know what someone wants just by looking at them. Only clothes though.” She says with a smile as she brings it over to me, and waves dismissively at Theros. “You go.” She says as she holds the dress up to me and Theros vanishes. “How hard is it to remove clothing?” She asks me.
“This was painful to put on.” I say angrily and she nods, she waves a hand over the dress, I see the small opening on the back of the dress where it is supposed to be tied, grow larger down the back of the dress with strings forming to tie it all the way down. She lays the dress on a chair and removes the nightdress from me, and replaces it with the white one. She ties the strings up the back of it.
“Was that painful at all?” She asks me with a smile.
“No, thank you.” I say with a smile as I look down at the dress.
“Come back to see me once you are better, I see so many wants in you. I want to make them all.” She says with a grin, as Theros appears beside me.
“Feel better with a pretty dress on?” Theros asks me with a grin.
“Yes, Thank you Theros. You seem to always know what to do to cheer me up.” I say with a smile.
“Not all the time, but I do my best.” He says with a sad smile.
“It is cute seeing the way you treat her.” The woman says with a laugh.
“I have watched her grow up twice now, she gets special treatment.” Theros says with a laugh.
“Goddess?” She asks me as an eyebrow raises.
“Demigod.” I say with a small smile, Theros takes my hand and we vanish, his room appears around us. “Now that I have seen your mastermind, I know where to go for all my dresses.” I say with a grin up at him, and he laughs.
“Just be careful around her, she is quite dangerous.” He says as he pulls me to the balcony where chaise lounges wait, he helps me sit down and lay back onto the plush pillows, he sits on the one beside me watching me. “Please do not make me watch you grow up a third time, Morrigan.” He says with a sad smile.
“I cannot make that promise, it seems I cannot go a day without something happening to me.” I say with a frown.
“Did Cu Chulainn tell you about Dhuna?” He asks me with rage in his eyes.
“Yes, but it felt like he didn’t tell me everything.” I say as I watch him.
“Dhuna has made killing you his new obsession, I imagine once Emnos reappears he will change back to him. But you need to be very careful, he will kill you if he sees you.” Theros says angrily. “I have blocked him from getting into this mansion, Myrddin blocked him from the palace with Arthur’s help. But everywhere else is not safe.” He says quietly.
“I still do not see Dhuna being that way, he has always been calm and collected.” I say with a frown.
“You do not know Dhuna like I do; he is the strongest God out of all of us.” Theros says with a serious look on his face.
“I did not sense that when I fought him in the arena.” I say to him.
“He didn’t care for the fight. When he does want to fight and he has something to focus his rage on, you will see just how bad he is.” Theros says quietly. “Avoid him at all costs, as soon as you see him vanish.” He says as he stares into my eyes, and I nod, I feel someone appear in the room. I try to turn to see who it is but pain shoots through me, I glare at the ocean as the pain fades when I stop moving.
“Seems she is still angry.” I hear Cu Chulainn say behind me.
“Read a book. Who the hell says that?” I ask angrily as Theros pulls me into a sitting position, I look up at his grin.
“What were you wanting to do, Morrigan?” Theros asks me with a frown, I raise an eyebrow at him and he laughs. “You need to wait a few days.” He says with a grin.
“If she is like this after one reincarnation, I would hate to see what she is going to be like the next one. I will have to run to the ends of the world.” Cu Chulainn says with a grin, as he helps me stand.
“Keep talking, I will stick you in a cage.” I say as I frown up at him and he laughs.
“Vhaanth wants to see you.” He says as he smiles down at me.
“Why can he not come to me?” I ask with a frown.
“Because moving is also good you.” He says with a laugh as we vanish, Vhaanth’s room appears around us, I see the blue eyes with white swirls looking down at me as everything comes into view.
“Have you been warned about Dhuna?” He asks me and I nod. “He found out you are alive again, be aware of your surroundings at all times.” Vhaanth says quietly, I hear a loud bang on the door. “I cannot keep him out of the mansion, because all the Gods come to see me with any problems. I have locked him out of this room while you are here.” He says with a frown as the banging continues on the door.
“Thank you for the warning, Vhaanth.” I say to him as we vanish, our bedroom appears around us, I walk over to the bed and sit down slowly lowering myself onto the bed as Cu Chulainn closes the balcony doors and locks them. “Getting rid of my escape?” I ask with a smile as he turns to look down at me.
“Getting rid of a way in.” He says with a smile. “He cannot vanish in, but he can walk in.” He says with a frown. “I am going to go check things around the palace, try to sleep.” He says with a smile and I watch him vanish.
If I sleep, how long will it be until I wake up?
“You will sleep like a human; I took away the deep sleep so you could enjoy your time after reincarnation.”
Thank you.
I close my eyes and fall to sleep.
I open my eyes when I feel a strange flutter in my magic waking me up, I slowly sit up on the bed as I look around in the darkness, I am alone in the room. I slowly stand up and make my way over to the door, I open it and look around the hallways and I feel something is wrong. All the candles have been extinguished, no guards patrol the halls, no sounds of any activity in the palace. I walk down the hallway towards the intersection, I look down the other three hallways to see no one, guards usually have permanent spots in these halls. I follow the hall towards the stairs that lead to the throne room, I slowly make my way down the stairs, I walk down the hall to the throne room door when I hear footsteps echoing in the halls. I walk quickly to the door next to me and quietly open it I go inside and close the door to where it is cracked.
I see someone moving in the darkness towards me, the eyes are glowing blue, I back away from the door quietly as I hear the foot steps getting closer, I hear another set of footsteps running down the hallway and I hear swords clash together. I turn around in the room to see a window, I walk over to the window and try to open it, pain shoots through me as I find it is stuck, I look around and I see the maid door. I walk slowly over to it as I hear the fighting continue outside, as I open the door, I hear Cu Chulainn.
“How can you blame her for someone killing him to avenge her death?” He asks angrily.
“If she had only controlled herself, he would not have wanted to kill her.” I hear Dhuna say quietly as sword hit each other. “I know she is close; I can feel her.” He says with a laugh, I open the maid door quietly and walk inside closing the door behind me, I feel several Gods appear in the palace, I walk down the corridor when suddenly the wall beside me is ripped open blue glowing eyes watch me. I back away from him as he walks into the corridor with me.
“Dhuna please, I did not intend for him to die.” I whisper as I back away from him, I try to vanish but nothing happens.
“You may not have wanted it to happen, but it still did because of you.” He whispers angrily as he walks towards me, I see blood on the blade in his hand.
“Is Cu Chulainn still alive?” I ask him feeling tears rush to my eyes.
“I only disabled him for the moment, you are the one I want.” He whispers angrily as he glares at me. “You seem weakened.” He says with a smile as he starts to walk faster.
“Dhuna please do not do this.” I say as I feel the maid door, I came through behind me, I push it open and trip over the threshold of it, I land on the ground and pain shoots through me. I look up to see the glowing blue eyes watching me, I push against the ground with my feet to slide across the floor away from him, he follows me slowly watching. I grab onto the edge of the desk when I slide next to it, I slowly get up off the floor, I cry out in pain as I use my arms to pull me off the floor.
“You are weakened. This will make this easier.” He says with a small laugh as he rushes towards me a sword appears in my hand and I block the attack aimed at my chest as the magic rushes up in me, pain shoots through me from the impact of his blade on mine. I do everything I can to stay upright, as I stare into the eyes full of hatred and murderous intent. I hear someone run into the room, I glance over to see Ark, I see fear in his eyes as he watches us. “A mistake, letting yourself get distracted.” Dhuna whispers angrily, I feel sword ripped from my hand as he turns my back to him, he pulls me against him as he holds the blade to my throat.
“Dhuna, calm yourself down.” Ark says softly.
“I could just claim her, I am starting to think Death might be too good for her. She is already suffering.” Dhuna says with a laugh, I watch Cu Chulainn come through the door missing his sword arm, fear takes over his face when he sees me.
“Do you really want to anger the rest of the Gods like that?” Ark asks him as he steps towards us.
“I do not care what the Gods feel.” He says angrily as I feel a hand replace the sword at my throat, his grips tightens as he leans down to my ear behind me. “I, Dhuna, God of Obsession claim you Morrigan, as my demigod. Your life will be hell until he comes back.” He whispers in my ear as I watch Ark and Cu Chulainn run toward me, I feel the chain form with the magic as we vanish. A bedroom appears around us; he lets go of me with a shove and I hit the floor pain shooting through me. “You are not allowed to vanish, use magic, or speak. No one will be able to get in to save you, abandon all hope.” He says angrily as he glares down at me, when I look up at him, I feel the magic bind me to his words. I watch him walk to a chair and sit down glaring at me.
“You may speak to answer my questions, you must answer everything truthfully once you are done answering the question you are not allowed to speak again.” He says angrily as he watches me, I feel the magic bind me to the words. “How did you get hurt?” He asks me with a smile.
“Drowned man.” I answer.
“What damage did it do?” He asks me.
“It ripped my back and chest open, along with a bite on my arm.” I answer.
“Why have you not been healed?” He asks me as he leans forward with a smile, I feel fear rise in me.
“Healing causes the wounds to rip open further.” I whisper, I watch a wide grin grow on his face.
“Thank you for that useful information.” He says with a laugh, I feel magic surging through me to heal the wounds, pain erupts through me as I lay down on the floor feeling like I am being ripped apart. He does this for several hours, I still hear my screams echoing in the room as I look up at him kneeling over me with a grin on his face as his glowing eyes watch me. I feel tears still streaming down my face from the pain as I watch him get up and grab a book from the bookshelf and sit down, he starts reading the book ignoring me.
May I get on the bed?
No, you will stay on the floor.
Dhuna, please I need to rest to heal.
Do you honestly think I want you to heal? This will continue until Emnos reincarnates, and then he will have free reign with you while you are still under my claim. The love in the magic will not be able to buffer what he does to you this time. You are not allowed to speak to me through thought anymore.
I feel the magic bind me to the words as fear takes over, when is he coming back and can I get out of here before that happens.
Creation.
“I am here.”
How am I going to get out of this?
“Do not worry, Vhaanth, Ark, and Cu Chulainn are working to get you out.”
How long?
“I do not know, Morrigan.”
You do know, if you don’t you can ask Time. How long do I have to stay here with him?
“A few weeks.”
I have to go through this for a few weeks?
“Try to keep your mind protected, this kind of pain can break you.”
This is not helpful, it would be nice if I could at least try to talk him out of it. But he has silenced me.
I look up when I notice Dhuna watching me with a glare. “What were you doing?” He asks me angrily.
“Talking to Creation in my mind.” I answer, hating the magic.
“What did she say?” He asks with a small smile.
“I will be here for a few weeks, until I can be saved.” I answer fighting it with everything in me, and he laughs.
“You are not allowed to talk to her anymore.” He says with a grin, I feel the magic bind me as tears fall down my face. “Any plans she has for you ends now.” He says as he sets the book down and leans towards me. “Did she say anything else?” He asks me with a smile.
“To protect my mind from the pain, it will break me if I do not.” I whisper and his smile turns back into a grin.
“She is right, it will. You are not allowed to protect yourself.” He says as he watches me, I feel magic surge into me again I look up at him pleading with my eyes as the pain starts, I hear him laughing as I close my eyes hearing myself scream.
I lay on the floor staring at the ceiling feeling tears stream down my face, I do not know how long the pain lasted, or how long I have been here. All sense of everything around me is fading away from me each time he tries to heal me, I hope they will be here soon. Though I cannot remember who they are, I try to remember faces and names but nothing comes to me. I look over at him to see him reading his book with a smile on his face, I wonder what I did wrong to make him want to do this. Every time I try to speak a different kind of pain starts and I feel my throat lock up. I look down at my dress, I see blood soaked into it, both new and old, I like the way the dress looks it makes me sad that it is ruined.
I turn over onto my side feeling pain shoot through me, I slowly lift myself off the floor, I look up to see him watching me. I crawl over to the chair on the other side of the table from him and I use it to stand up.
“You are not allowed to sit in a chair, Morrigan.” He says angrily as he watches me. Who is Morrigan. I walk around the room feeling pain sting me every time I move a certain way, he watches me with a frown. “You can speak.” He says watching me, I look over at him.
“Why am I here?” I ask him my voice hoarse and my throat sore, he smiles.
“Because you did something bad.” He says as he watches me, I hear an explosion outside the building we are in, I frown as I look toward the source. He stands up and I watch him disappear.
“Morrigan, when he comes back. Say ‘I, Morrigan disown you Dhuna, God of Obsession.’”
Who are you?
“Just say the words quickly when he returns, someone will get you as soon as you say them.”
I hear more explosions, and I feel the floor under me shift, I back up against the wall as I see him appear again anger on his face. “I, Morrigan disown you Dhuna, God of Obsession.” I whisper, a man with black hair and hazel eyes appears in front of me he takes my hand with a sad smile and the room vanishes around us.
A bedroom appears around us and I pull my hand away from him and I back against the wall away from him, the room look familiar. He looks down at my dress and I see rage in his eyes, he looks back up into my eyes. “Do you know me?” He asks me I see pain in his eyes.
“I don’t know, where are we?” I ask him quietly.
“Your room.” He says with a frown, a man with long black hair and blue eyes appears in the room watching me.
“She says to take her to the altar.” The man says to the other one, he nods. “She may fight, be prepared.” He says as he frowns at me, fear rises in me as I watch them corner me.
“What did I do wrong?” I ask them quietly as tears come to my eyes, they both give me a sad look as they grab my wrists, we vanish I feel them holding me down to a stone, I feel vines wrapping around me. I fight them and the vines, a magical energy enters me and I feel the world fade black as my eyes close.
I open my eyes to see vines, I frown at them, I sit up on the slab to see Vhaanth and Cu Chulainn watching me. “Why am I covered in vines?” I ask them angrily as I look down at the blood on my dress.
“How much do you remember?” Vhaanth asks me with a frown.
“Not sure, it is jumbled in my head. I just know I never want to see Dhuna again.” I say angrily as I slide off the slab, Vhaanth gives me a strange look. “Whatever she is telling you I do not want to hear it.” I say as I glare at him.
“But.” Vhaanth starts to say, I hold a hand up a magical force keeps his mouth shut, as I glare at him.
“I do not care for a therapy session, I will deal with this in my own way. I expect everyone to respect me enough to go along with my wishes. If I find that is not true, I will disappear.” I say angrily as I glare at him. “Do we have an understanding?” I ask him and he nods with a frown on his face, I drop my hand releasing him, memories flood my mind of the pain. “Am I completely healed?” I ask as I look back at the slab.
“Yes.” Vhaanth says angrily.
“Good.” I say as I vanish, a forest appears around me, I walk through the magic-soaked ground enjoying the heady feeling of it rising around me. I feel someone appear behind me, I already know who it is, he showed me this place. I hear him follow me as I walk deeper into the forest. “Why do you follow?” I ask him as I watch the trees sway without a breeze.
“I will always follow.” He says quietly.
“What if I do not want you to?” I ask as I walk past the trees I had been watching.
“I will still follow.” He says to me I hear the smile in his voice. “I am sorry it took me so long to get to you.” He says quietly.
“How long?” I ask him as I touch the tree as it sways.
“Four years.” He says quietly, I turn to look at him and I see guilt on his face.
“That is why I don’t want you to follow, I do not want sympathy or guilt.” I say angrily as I turn away from him and continue walking through the forest of strange trees.
“Fine, I will have no sympathy or guilt.” He says as he walks faster to catch up to me, I raise a hand and a barrier rises between us as I look back at him. “You can try to stop me, but I will get through this eventually.” He says with a grin, a small smile comes to my face without my permission, I turn away from him and walk further into the forest as I feel him breaking the barrier. I hear his footsteps running to catch up with me.
“You are stubborn.” I say annoyed.
“So are you.” He says as I feel his hand grab mine, I feel him gently pull me towards him. I turn to look at him smiling at me.
“You know when I become a Goddess, I can claim you and make you stay away.” I say with a frown.
“Morrigu tried it and failed. I would love to see how you manage.” He says with a grin as he pulls me into his arms. “I dealt with the pain from disobeying the order with a grin on my face.” He says with a laugh.
“How long did I sleep?” I ask him with a frown.
“Ten years, are you done wasting our time together before you go into the deep sleep?” He asks me with a grin, and I laugh.
“What is the magic you use on me?” I ask him with a frown and he smiles as he pulls me closer.
“It is just how amazing I am, I told you it is hard to resist.” He says with a grin, I laugh as he leans down and kisses me.
“I am starting to think no matter what happens to me you can bring me back.” I say with a sad smile.
“I can and I will each and every time. I already lost once; I refuse to lose again.” He says with a sad smile as we vanish and our room appears around us, he picks me up and I wrap my legs around him as he lays me down on the bed.
“Why can you not be the God, and I enjoy the quiet life of being your demigod?” I ask him with a smile.
“Because you are better with your freedom.” He says with a grin.
“I would have to disagree; I would love to have her as my demigod.” Aiwass says from beside us on the bed.
“I thought I told you to knock.” I say as I frown at him.
“I did there was no answer.” He says with a grin. “Want to say yes?” He asks with a giggle.
“No, go away.” I say with a laugh, and he vanishes.
“Everyone is going to come visit now that you are back again.” Cu Chulainn says with a smile.
“I prefer they stay away; I only want to spend time with you.” I say with a smile as he leans down and kisses me, I feel someone appear in the room.
“Well, I came to see if you wanted a new dress. But I will wait here until you are done.” I hear Theros say with a laugh, I look over at him with a frown.
“You are not watching Theros.” Cu Chulainn says with a laugh. “But you are right she needs a new dress, is that woman done with the one I had her make?” He asks Theros who grins and nods. “Lets go this can wait.” Cu Chulainn says as he stands up by the bed and pulls me up as Theros touches his arm and we vanish.
The blonde woman with the blue eyes appears in front of us in her room, she looks at the dress with a frown. “Get into a fight with a cat?” She asks me as she looks unhappily at the dress.
“Theros said the dress is done.” Cu Chulainn says to her with a smile, she looks up at him with a grin and nods, she runs over to the wardrobe and pulls out a white dress.
“You two go away, I need to wash her off before putting this on.” She says with a frown as she walks back to me, I feel them vanish. She takes the dress off me and the bandages, she washes off all the blood with warm water and dries me. She slides the new dress onto me and latches the top together, and pulls me over to the mirror.
I look at the dress with a smile as I remember the memory Vhaanth showed me of Morrigu. The long white dress has a gold collar that goes around the base of my throat with designs embroidered into it in gold thread, the skirt has slits in the sides that go up to my thighs with the same gold embroidered fabric with the gold designs, she slides sleeves up my arms with silver metal bands that snap around my arms to keep them in place the bottom of the sleeves bell out to hang down. “Do you like it?” She asks me with a grin and I nod at her as I feel them return, I turn to look at them Theros grins at the outfit and Cu Chulainn has an unreadable look on his face as he looks at the dress and me.
“Cu Chulainn you are just as depraved as me.” Theros says with a laugh as he walks over and lifts my arm to point out the side of my chest visible from either side that the fabric does not cover.
“Oh, I forgot part of it.” She says as she grabs a black rope and wraps it around my torso and brings it up under my chest and snaps it together in the back. “Now it is finished.” She says as she grins at the dress. I walk over to Cu Chulainn and look up at him with a smile, I see love in his eyes as he looks down at me.
“Do you like it?” I ask him, and he grins at me.
“I love it, what do you think of it?” He asks me as he pulls me closer.
“I love it as well, Vhaanth may have a stroke when he sees it though.” I say with a laugh.
“Worth it.” He says with a smile as he kisses me. “Especially if your wings come out.” He says with a laugh, I laugh with him.
“You and her are not together?” I hear her as Theros.
“Nope, she is with him.” Theros says with a laugh.
“Want to go see if we can scare Vhaanth?” I ask him as I raise an eyebrow, and he grins.
“You read my mind.” He says with a laugh and we vanish as I feel Theros’ hand on my shoulder, Vhaanth’s room appears around us. Cu Chulainn moves to my side and Vhaanth looks over his book at me, he freezes as he watches me.
“Vhaanth.” I say with a frown, he frowns at me.
“Yes?” He asks me as he watches me.
“I want an honest answer.” I say with a glare.
“About what?” He asks as he sets the book down looking at me with unease.
“Do you like my dress?” I ask with a grin, he laughs and shakes his head.
“No, but if you like it, my opinion doesn’t matter.” He says with a smile.
“How can you not like this?” Theros asks with a frown as he motions to the chest pieces of the dress.
“If you had my memories, that dress would look like battle armor to you.” Vhaanth says with a laugh.
“To Morrigu it was.” Cu Chulainn says with a smile.
“What is the strange fabric it is made of?” I ask him with a frown, he summons his sword and thrusts his blade at my chest, I back up as I see the sword coming. I feel it hit my chest hard, but it does not go through I frown down at the sword tip then up at him.
“Dragon skin, it cannot be damaged with swords or magic.” He says with a grin.
“Where did you find dragon skin?” Vhaanth asks him with a frown.
“A dragon gave it to me when I told him Morrigu is back, I have been holding onto it until I found someone who could work with it.” Cu Chulainn says with a grin.
“Dragons still exist?” Theros asks him with a frown.
“A few, only I know where to find them. Since I am the one that hid them from Vhaanth.” He says with a laugh.
“As long as they behave, I will not kill them.” Vhaanth says with a glare at Cu Chulainn and he nods.
“They have been living peacefully on top of all the treasure I collected for them.” He says with a smile. “Would you like to meet them, Morrigan? They worshipped Morrigu.” He asks as he looks down at me.
“Not sure they would like me since I am so different from her.” I say with an uneasy smile.
“They will, I promise.” He says with a grin as he grabs me and we vanish, a large mountain towers over us with a large cave inside it, I hear a growl inside and I look over to see red eyes with silver lines in them watching me glowing from the darkness of the cave. “The reincarnation of Morrigu, Morrigan.” Cu Chulainn says as he moves away from me with a hand out to me, a large scaled black head with visible rows of teeth in its mouth comes out of the cave closer to me.
“You look like her, prove it turn into the crow.” The dragon says with a growl, I reach out to the magic and I feel myself change into the crow and I land on its snout looking into its eyes. “Welcome back, Phantom Queen.” The dragon says quietly, I change back into human form as I jump to the ground.
“Thank you, what is your name?” I ask as I look up into the eye watching me.
“My name is Orgo, you seem different.” The dragon says as it watches me, Cu Chulainn appears beside me.
“She is nicer than the previous one, you have nothing to worry about from her.” He says with a smile to the dragon.
“Are you sure?” The dragon asks him as it shows its teeth.
“I am very sure, no one would know better than me.” Cu Chulainn says with a grin, the dragon comes out of the cave, another one that is smaller follows the larger one out, its scales are black and white and its eyes are silver it looks at me with curiosity. I walk towards the smaller one with a smile as I reach out and feel the rough scales on its head, I see the larger one move closer watching.
“Can you talk too?” I ask the smaller one.
“Yes, my name is Mayge.” It says as it watches me.
“Nice to meet you, Mayge.” I say with a smile. “My name is Morrigan.” I add.
“Nice to meet you, Morrigan.” It says to me.
“She is calmer than the other one.” Orgo says as it watches me. “Do you want us to call you Goddess Morrigan, or Morrigan?” The large dragon asks me.
“Just Morrigan please, I am not a Goddess yet.” I say with a smile as I look up at Orgo.
“Very well, the dragons will help you Morrigan when the Fomorians come if you need us.” Orgo says as it watches me closely.
“Thank you, but I do not think I could put you in danger. I believe I can do it myself.” I say with a grin, I hear a sound that resembles laughter.
“She is definitely different; the other did not care what happened to us.” Orgo says as the head gets closer to me.
“Told you, Orgo. She is the opposite of the previous one, except when someone angers her, which takes a lot of hard work.” Cu Chulainn says with a laugh. “Death says she has only been angry twice in the time she has been back, once against someone who chained her and mistreated her, second time against the same person because he killed me.” He says with a grin.
“I think the world will be better off with this one.” Orgo says as he watches me.
“I agree.” Cu Chulainn says as he pulls me close to him, we vanish the room appearing around us, fear shoots through me as I remember him bringing me here after saving me, I look up at him and he frowns at me.
“Where is Dhuna?” I ask him.
“Dead.” He says with anger in his eyes.
“When does Emnos return?” I ask him.
“While you are in your deep sleep.” He answers with a smile. “Creation has said when you go into your deep sleep, she is going to put me into a deep sleep beside you.” He says with a grin, I smile as the fear fades from me.
I know you and Time can see in the future.
“Yes, this is true.”
Will I be captured again after I turn into a Goddess?
“I will not answer questions that far ahead.”
Why?
“Because you should worry about the present, not the future.”
Is that a yes?
