Chapter Twenty-four

“I am okay, I just get lost in thought sometimes.” I say with a small smile as I stand, Emnos offers his arm to me and I take it.
“If you need anything, Goddess Morrigan let me know. You kept your word and taken care of all of us since we got here. We owe you.” He says with a smile.
“You could try being nicer to my seneschal Victor, he is trying to get everything moving to improve the city so we can get trade in. Which would mean you could start having food in your own home.” I say with a laugh, he nods as he smiles.
“I will spread the word to be nice to him, he does need to try to come off nicer though. He treats us with disdain and the guys do not respond well to that.” He says with a laugh.
“I will let him know to correct his attitude.” I say to him as Emnos opens the door.
“Thank you, Goddess Morrigan.” He says as Emnos leads me out the door, we walk through the city, it is disturbing how empty it is with all the houses around us. We walk down to the docks and he helps me sit on the edge of it before sitting down with me.
“I miss our world sometimes.” Emnos says quietly.
“Yeah, no matter what I would be here. I was not given a choice.” I say as I watch the water.
“Creation gave you no choice about coming but let the rest of us have the choice?” He asks me angrily.
“Yes, I asked her if I had a choice and she said no. I asked her if any of you would be coming with me and she told me to ask.” I say as I smile up at him.
“I didn’t really have a choice either then, I would gladly follow you to any world.” Emnos says as he smiles down at me.
“Thank you, Emnos. It makes it easier with you here.” I say as I look back at the water, I feel his arm around me and he pulls me close to him.
“You do not need to thank me, I waited over a thousand years to be with you again. Even if she said you couldn’t bring anyone with you, I would have found a way to follow.” He says with a laugh as I lean on him. “Why do you not fly anymore?” He asks me.
“I do fly.” I say as I look at him with a frown.
“You fly if you need to, you do not fly because you want to anymore.” He says with a frown.
“I just have not felt like doing it.” I say with a laugh.
“Why?” He asks me.
“You cannot join me.” I say as I smile up at him, he frowns at me.
“It shouldn’t matter if I can join you or not, you should enjoy the freedoms you have.” He says to me.
“I am, I am enjoying my freedom to be with you.” I say with a grin, he laughs.
“Goddess Morrigan.” I hear someone say behind me, I turn to see Alcmene, I stand up and walk to him with a smile.
“What is it I can help you with, Alcmene?” I ask him.
“Seems one of your demigods changed their mind, and want to join you here. That was who we felt cross the worlds.” He says to me, as I watch Cu Chulainn walk up beside him. “Do you want the demigod? If not I will gladly claim him myself.” He says as he watches me.
“I will take him.” I say with a smile.
“Then claim him in front of me.” He says with a smile as he shove Cu Chulainn in front of me.
“Why?” I ask him with a frown.
“I showed him to Clay, since I know he has seen all your memories. He said that this is someone you would not claim, and I would love to have a demigod for myself.” He says as he smiles at me, Cu Chulainn looks at me with a pleading look.
“If you want me as your God, take my hand.” I say to him as I hold out my hand, he takes it. “I, Morrigan, Goddess of War claim you Cu Chulainn as my demigod.” I say as I feel the chain form.
“Seems Clay was wrong.” Alcmene says with a laugh and vanishes.
“Why did you come here?” I ask him as I look up at him angrily.
“Why did you not tell me?” He asks me angrily.
“Go to the castle.” I say as I glare at him.
“Yes, Goddess Morrigan.” He says and bows to me and vanishes.
“Now I do not have to trust Gods to watch you.” Emnos says as he walks up behind me.
“Lets go back to the castle, I want to know why he came.” I say angrily as I glare at the castle.
“I can answer that question.” Emnos says with a laugh, I grab his hand and we vanish. The throne room appears around us, Cu Chulainn sits on the platform the throne is on, he looks up as we appear. I walk to him as he stands up, I can see the magic in his eyes as he looks down at me.
“Why did you come?” I ask him. “Tell me the truth.” I add as I frown up at him, I feel him resisting.
“Because I want to be near you to protect you, because I love you.” He says with a strained look on his face from fighting it.
“I told you I could answer that question.” Emnos says behind me, Cu Chulainn glares at him.
“You do realize it is over between us, right?” I ask him, he looks down at me with pain in his eyes.
“Yes, Goddess Morrigan.” He says as he bows.
“Do not bow to me.” I say to him feeling the magic bind him to my words, he stands up and I see tears in his eyes.
“May I go patrol the castle, Goddess Morrigan?” He asks me quietly.
“Yes, you may.” I say to him and he vanishes, I feel the rage igniting inside me without my permission I try to stop it but I feel the powers erupt out of me before I can stop it.
“Morrigan, what are you doing?” Emnos asks me as he touches my shoulder, we vanish. Clay’s room appears around us, Clay looks over at us with a smile until he looks into my eyes and I see fear. I walk to him as the rage builds inside me, I feel a sword appear in my hand I watch as it raises to his throat.
“You are not to repeat any of the memories you saw in me, you are not to answer any more questions about them. If I have found that you went against my orders, I will be back and I will paint this room red.” My voice echoes through the mansion as I glare at him, he nods as he pulls away from the sword.
“Forgive me, Goddess Morrigan.” He says quietly as he watches me.
“Emnos, come.” My voice echoes I feel a hand on my shoulder. “Where is Alcmene’s mansion?” My voice echoes as the sword vanishes, Clay reaches out and I grab his hand and we vanish. A throne room appears around me, I see Alcmene sitting on the throne, he frowns at me as I let go of Clay and walk to him as I feel the swords appear in my hands.
“Goddess Morrigan, can I help you?” He asks me as he watches the swords, I walk up to him in between his legs and place a knee on the throne, as I lean towards him with the swords at his throat.
“Yes, you can. Do not make me angry again.” My voice echoes as I glare at him, he looks away from the swords at his throat up to my eyes and nods to me. I walk away from him as the anger and the swords vanish, I grab Emnos by the arm and vanish, our room appears around us. I let go of him and walk over to the bed and lay down, I close my eyes and fall asleep.
I open my eyes and roll over to see hazel eyes watching me from the chair, I sit up and slide to the edge of the bed. “Guessing you being here was Emnos’ idea?” I ask him as I grab my head against the pain in it.
“Yes, are you okay?” He asks me, I hear him stand up.
“Strange pain.” I say quietly as I try to stand up and fall to my knees as the pain increases, I close my eyes against the pain. I feel hands pick me up to place me back on the bed as the pain increases.
“I will get Satan and Emnos, maybe they know.” He says quietly and vanishes, I feel the pain increase it feels as if my skull is being ripped apart, I feel magic enter me then leave. I feel a hand hold onto my arm, I open eyes slightly to see Emnos’ concerned face, as the pain increases I hear someone scream in the room, I feel someone touch my head and I fall asleep.
Morrigan, can you hear me?
Yes.
The God of Frenzy is doing this to you, Emnos is hunting her down.
Wake me up I can help.
If we do the pain will get worse. You already cannot function as it is.
Anger will kill the pain.
You know that for sure?
I am pretty sure, wake me up now.
I open my eyes and the pain skewers through my mind again, I focus bringing the anger forward as hazel eyes watch me with concern. I feel the rage ignite and the pain lessens, I sit up on the bed as I feel the anger.
Has Emnos found them yet?
No.
I grab Cu Chulainn by the arm and we vanish, Clay’s room comes into view around us, I look over and I feel Clay try to vanish, I block him. I walk over to him and grab him by the throat.
“Where is Frenzy?” Cu Chulainn asks him, as he holds my hand we vanish. A mansion comes into view around us and I drop Clay, he vanishes as the block is removed.
“Frenzy, come out.” My voice echoes pain shoots through me for talking, I hold my head as I feed the rage. I feel someone appear in front of me, I look up to see Alcmene he grins down at me.
“Pain in your head? You should lay down Goddess Morrigan.” He says as he watches me, I drop my hand.
“Where is Frenzy?” Cu Chulainn says for me.
“Frenzy is acting on my orders, I do not appreciate being threatened. I think with that pain surging through your head I could take you.” He says as he glares down at me, swords appear in my hands as I glare at him. I feed the rage inside me as I watch his hair catch on fire and his hand turn to metal, I swing my swords at him as I feel the pain increase he blocks them with his hands. The longer we fight the more the pain increases and the more I fuel my rage.
Use the power you got from the graves.
Humans.
I can feel your pain, Morrigan. You will not last without it.
I ignore him and feed my rage as I swing at Alcmene, the pain is almost back to where it was again. I feel a hand around my throat when the pain caused me to hesitate, I glare at him as I reach into the power calling it down. I watch as I float away from my body.
Save the humans, please.
Yes, Morrigan.
I watch as a fireball crashes through the mansion above Alcmene and myself and it crashes down into us, I watch my body stand up and charge at Alcmene decapitating him before he can get up. I follow my body as it runs through the hallways, I feel the fireballs stop raining down as she runs up the stairs, she runs down the hallway to a set of large golden doors with a screaming face on it. I watch as she blows the doors open, running into the room, I see Emnos laying on the floor with a Goddess standing over him. I watch as my body runs towards her with swords at the ready, the Goddess vanishes. I fight the power to take control, I feel it fighting me back. I see Cu Chulainn appear beside me, he looks down at Emnos and I see him touch Emnos and his body vanishes.
Is he alive?
Yes.
Why can I not take control back?
It is protecting you, she is sending pulses of power out to find her.
I see my body grab his hand and we vanish, a forest appears around us, I watch as she runs off into the forest as her swords appear again, I see a Goddess up ahead running from her. I see the wings on my back flap slowly and my body vanishes appearing behind the Goddess with sword through her back. I open my eyes and I see the Goddess in front of me with my sword in her back, I shove her off my sword. I turn to look at Cu Chulainn as he runs to me.
“Are you her, or you?” He asks me with a frown.
“Who is her?” I ask him angrily, as I turn my body to face him, he looks at me hesitantly. “Answer me with the truth now.” I growl at him as I feel the magic bind him.
“Morrigu.” He whispers with a pained look on his face.
“How is she able to take control like that?” I ask him.
“When you absorbed the power from the bodies she inhabited it sent a portion of her into you, she can only take control when you use that power.” He says in a strained voice.
“Did Creation know this?” I ask him angrily.
“I don’t know.” He says as he looks down at me feeling the pain vanish from answering questions he didn’t want to.
“Where did you send Emnos?” I ask him.
“To the room where you sleep.” He says to me, I vanish the room appears around me and I see him laying on the bed. I run over to him sending magic into him to heal any wounds he might have, he opens his eyes and gives me a strange look. He slides across the bed away from me, I see fear in his eyes. I let the power go.
“Emnos, are you okay?” I ask him.
“You were trying to kill me, why?” He asks me with pain and fear in his eyes.
“I was not trying to kill you, Frenzy had you.” I say with a confused look, I crawl up on the bed and I see him flinch away from me, I touch his forehead. Memories flood through my mind of him appearing in Frenzies room, her kissing him and then he appears in a hallway. I turn in the memory and I see me glaring at him with hatred with my power out as swords appear in my hands, I start running towards the eyes I am watching through. I sense him speaking in the memory I watch as I swing my swords down trying to kill him. I pull myself out of the memory, I watch as he looks at me in fear.
“Emnos, calm down. You are safe I promise. What you saw is not real.” I say with a gentle smile, he watches me I can sense his distrust. I send out a call for Dhuna, I feel him appear in the room and he runs over to the bed.
“What is wrong with him?” Dhuna asks me.
“Frenzy made him afraid of me, please fix this.” I say as I look up at Dhuna.
“You will have to leave, when we are afraid like this we cannot reach into each others minds.” He says to me, I look back at Emnos and vanish. The dock appears around me, I walk over and sit down on the edge as I stare at the water.
I feel a hand on my shoulder and I look up to see Cu Chulainn. “Is he fixed?” I ask him and he shakes his head. “Then leave, I want to lose track of time until he is.” I say to him as I look back down at the water, I feel him vanish and I escape back into my memories.
I feel someone tap me on the shoulder and I look up to see a human smiling down at me. “I am sorry to bother you, but we need you to move so we can help pull the ship in.” He says to me, I vanish. Our room appears around us, I see Emnos laying down on the bed, Dhuna sits in a chair beside the bed. I start walking towards them and Dhuna sees me, he shakes his head as he stands up and escorts me out of the room and shuts the door behind us.
“You cannot go in there.” He says to me.
“How is he not fixed yet?” I ask him.
“He is holding onto to the fantasy, I almost have him to the point where is willing to see it as impossible. But I need more time, you going in there will force him back into believing.” Dhuna says to me, I turn away from him and walk down the hallway as I return to the memories.
I feel someone pull me to a stop, I look up to see Dhuna, he smiles at me. We vanish our room appears around us, I see Emnos sitting on the edge of the bed looking down at the floor. I start to run to him, Dhuna holds me in place. “Emnos, she is here.” Dhuna says to him, Emnos looks up at me with a frown.
“It is good to see you again, Emnos.” I say as I smile at him.
“Same, Morrigan.” He says quietly, I still see the distrust in his eyes.
“Can she come closer?” Dhuna asks him.
“A little.” He says as he watches me without emotion on his face, I walk closer to him, he holds up a hand for me to stop. “That is far enough, Morrigan.” He says to me, I only made it as far as the chair by the fireplace.
“Emnos, I would never try to kill you. We love each other remember?” I ask him as tears come to my eyes, he watches me.
“I don’t believe you.” He says with a frown, pain shoots through me at his words, I feel myself collapse to my knees.
“You waited over a thousand years for me and followed me to another world, how could you not believe me?” I whisper.
“And what have you done for me?” He asks me with a glare.
“If you do not believe me, then kill me. I will not defend myself.” I say quietly as I watch him, I feel tears fall down my face.
“Morrigan, no. He will kill you.” Dhuna says quickly as he starts pulling me away from Emnos. I see him stand up and curved blades appear in his hands, he starts walking towards me and I feel Dhuna make me vanish. The throne room appears around me, I sit on the ground as I stare at the floor.
“Morrigan, you are going to have to come to the realization that Emnos may never want you again.” Cu Chulainn says quietly to me as he kneels beside me.
“Do you feel my pain?” I whisper.
“Yes, I do.” He says quietly.
“How do I make it stop?” I ask him.
“I have not found a way yet, I don’t know.” He says quietly, I let the rage take over I feel my eyes glow and the wings appear on my back, the pain vanishes. “It would seem you found a way.” He whispers, I stand up as I wipe the tears from my eyes, I look down at him. “You cannot keep this up forever, Morrigan.” He says as he frowns at me.
“I will prove you wrong.” My voice echoes around us.
“You will scare the humans.” He says to me.
“They will get used to it.” My voice echoes, I hear movement and I look up to see a man watching us from the door.
“Seneschal Thomas, this is Goddess Morrigan.” Cu Chulainn says to him as he stands up beside me.
“Why does she look angry?” He asks quietly.
“She will not hurt you, I promise.” Cu Chulainn says with a smile, the man cautiously walks over to us.
“Goddess Morrigan, Cu Chulainn tells me you like doing petitions, is this true?” He asks me quietly as he watches me.
“Yes, send them in Thomas.” I say to him, he nods and runs from the room, I walk over to the throne and sit down, Cu Chulainn gives me a concerned look and stands beside the throne.
“You should try to make yourself look calm.” Cu Chulainn says to me, I look up at him and make myself look calm instead of angry and he smiles at me. “Could you try to get rid of the glow?” He asks me, I try and I feel the glow stop in my eyes, and he nods at me. “Now you don’t look so terrifying.” He says with a laugh, I look over at the door when I hear footsteps. I see Lucifer walk in, he sees me and stops with a frown on his face.
“Why are her wings out?” He asks Cu Chulainn.
“She is dealing with something, it would be best not to anger her.” Cu Chulainn says to him, he nods as he watches me and backs out of the room, for Satan to push past him with anger on his face as he glares at Lucifer.
“What the hell is wrong with you, backing out of a room? Why not walk out the right way?” Satan says angrily, Lucifer points at me. Satan looks at me, I see sympathy in his eyes as he walks over to me. “Is she going to stay like this to block the pain?” He asks Cu Chulainn as he stares in my eyes.
“I believe that is her plan.” Cu Chulainn says to him.
“Why does she look so calm?” Satan asks him as he frowns at me.
“I suggested it, and to make her eyes stop glowing. She is about to see petitioners.” Cu Chulainn says to him.
“Are you sure that is wise?” Satan asks him as he watches me.
“She will not kill humans.” Cu Chulainn says to him, Satan nods as he frowns in thought, I hear more footsteps and I look over to see the seneschal leading people into the room. Satan moves behind the throne to watch, the people look at me as soon as they enter the room with fascination on their faces.
“This is Goddess Morrigan.” The seneschal says as he motions at me, the people in the room smile at me. After all the petitions are done and I make all the humans happy, I feel a hand on my shoulder I look up to see Cu Chulainn smile at me.
“You handled that quite well, despite being in form.” Cu Chulainn says to me.
“I have to agree, I was expecting a blood bath but she made them all happy. Even the irritating ones.” Satan says with a laugh.
“Thomas, do you need anything else?” I ask as I look over at him, he shakes his head with a smile. “I am going to sleep.” I say to them as I stand up and vanish, a bed room appears around me, I walk over to the bed and lay on my side, I close my eyes and fall asleep.
I open my eyes and get off the bed to see Cu Chulainn watching me. “You slept with your wings out? I didn’t know that was possible.” He asks me with a frown.
“I told you I am staying this way.” I say to him, I walk over to the mirror, Cu Chulainn comes around to the side of me with a hair brush and brushes my hair for me.
“I think it would be healthier if you just dealt with the pain instead of hiding from it, Morrigan.” He says quietly as he brushes my hair.
“Did you enjoy feeling the pain I was in?” I ask him.
“No, but it is not good for you to do this.” He says as he frowns down at me.
“Why?” I ask him, he points at the floor around me, I look down to see black feathers on the floor around me.
“Your wings regrow the feathers immediately, but that is besides the point. You are using too much magic.” He says to me, Dhuna appears beside Cu Chulainn and looks at me with alarm.
“Why are her wings out?” He asks as he watches me.
“Her way of dealing with the pain.” Cu Chulainn says annoyed.
“Emnos is ready to see her again.” Dhuna says to him. “You have to let go of the power if you want to see him, Morrigan.” Dhuna says as he gives me a sad smile, I let the anger go and I feel exhaustion take over.
“Take me to him then.” I say quietly, he wraps an arm around me and we vanish. I see Emnos sitting on the bed waiting as we appear, he watches me.
“Why does she look tired?” He asks Dhuna.
“She has been using her power to block pain, she will fall asleep soon to regain the magic.” Dhuna says to him.
“So she is incapable of using it?” Emnos asks him.
“Yes, Emnos. Remember I have blocked you from being able to attack her with magic or your swords.” Dhuna says to him, Emnos nods as he watches me.
“Since she is weakened, she can come over here.” Emnos says to him, Dhuna helps me walks over to Emnos. He sits me up on the bed, I feel myself falling back and he holds me up.
“Hi, Emnos.” I say quietly as I look over at him, I feel tears come to eyes as he looks down at me.
“Hi, Morrigan. Dhuna says that we love each other, that you wouldn’t try to do the things I think you did.” Emnos says as he watches me.
“He is telling the truth.” I say with a smile. “Can I show you?” I ask him, he watches me for a moment and nods, I raise a finger and touch his temple. I show him the memory on the docks, the memories of us in bed during the war, him laying on top of me tracing circles on me and smiling at me. I drop my hand as tears fall down my face. “Please come back to me.” I whisper to him.
“Dhuna leave the room.” Emnos says to him.
“I don’t feel you are safe enough for that, Emnos. I am sorry, I am protecting you from a thousand years of regret.” Dhuna says quietly to him.
“Then go over by the door.” Emnos says angrily, I feel Dhuna’s hands leave me and I fall back onto the bed trying to keep my eyes open, Emnos turns and leans over me getting close to my face. “I felt your love in those memories.” He says quietly as he frowns at me.
“Because I love you.” I say quietly as I watch him.
“I am sorry, but I do not love you.” He says to me, tears stream down my face as I watch him, pain shoots through me.
“Is there any way I can get you to love me again?” I whisper as I swallow past the lump in my throat.
“I do not think so, I do not trust you.” He says to me, he stands up and motions to Dhuna. I feel Dhuna pick me up and vanish, he lays me down on the bed.
“I am sorry, Morrigan. I will keep trying.” He says quietly and vanishes. I roll over to face the wall, I feel the bed move and an arm wrap around me and pull me close.
“I do not expect anything, Morrigan. I am just here to comfort you.” Cu Chulainn whispers in my ear.
“He said he does not love me, and that he could not, because he does not trust me.” I whisper.
“I am sorry, Morrigan.” Cu Chulainn whispers to me, I close my eyes and fall asleep.
I open my eyes and roll over hazel eyes look at me with sympathy, I look up at the ceiling.
Can my Creation take Dhuna and Emnos back?
“Yes, I am sorry for what my God did to him.”
Do we take them to the Circle we arrived here?
“Yes, that is her link to this world.”
Send her the message they will be there soon.
“Yes, Morrigan.”
I vanish, our room appears around me. Emnos and Dhuna look over at me. “I am sending you two back to our world, there is no point in him having to suffer being here.” I say quietly as I walk towards them.
“Morrigan, it is just going to take time.” Dhuna says to me.
“I will not cage him, he promised to never do it to me. I refuse to do it to him, I am setting him free.” I say with a smile as tears fall down my face, Emnos stands up and offers his hand to me, I take it as I look up into his eyes as I grab Dhuna and we vanish. The Circle appears around us, I take them over to the slab. “Just touch it and you will be back home.” I whisper as I stare into the violet eyes. “I will always love you no matter what.” I say with a smile as tears fall down my face, I watch as they touch the slab and vanish. I fall to my knees as the pain takes over me, I feel Cu Chulainn appear behind me.
“What did you do, Morrigan?” He asks me.
“I set him free, he is back home.” I say quietly, I feel him touch my shoulder as we vanish, the throne room appears around us.
“Is she okay?” Satan says as he walks over to us and kneels in front of me, pulling my face to look up at him.
“She just sent Emnos back to our world.” Cu Chulainn says quietly, Satan hugs me tightly.
“I am sorry, Morrigan.” He says quietly, I feel numb.
I want to go home, why should I care about this world that has taken him away. This feels pointless, I am tired of this.
I feel him lift me and walk me over to the throne and sit me down in it, I feel him wipe away the tears, I stare at the windows.
“We have more petitions if she wants to do them.” Thomas says quietly.
“Send them in.” I say quietly, I hear his footsteps Cu Chulainn watches me with pain in his eyes. “How long until Frenzy reincarnates?” I ask quietly.
“Three hundred fifty years.” Cu Chulainn says to me.
“Then I have something to look forward to.” I say quietly, he nods as he watches me, I feel a finger touch my temple and memories flash through my mind, I feel it fall away from my head.
“There are no words for that kind of pain.” Satan says quietly.
“I feel it when she does.” Cu Chulainn says to him.
“Does she feel it right now?” Satan asks him.
“No, she feels nothing.” Cu Chulainn says as he watches me.
“Not sure that is better.” Satan says quietly, I hear footsteps I watch as people line up in front of me. After I fix all their problems they stream out of the room happy, I look back up at the window.
“Can you send Cu Chulainn and Satan to my Circle?”
Yes, Creation.
I stand up and look over at Satan, he frowns at me I touch him and he vanishes, I walk around the throne towards Cu Chulainn. “What are you doing, Morrigan?” He asks as he backs away from me.
“Stay.” I say quietly and I walk to him and touch him, he vanishes as well, I walk back around the throne and sit down. I watch the clouds pass by outside the window as I go into memories of Emnos.
I feel someone touch me and I look into yellow eyes, he smiles at me. “Hi Theros.” I say quietly.
“Hi Morrigan.” He says to me.
“Why are you here?” I ask him.
“Because I heard you needed help.” He says with a grin.
“I don’t need help, go back.” I say to him.
“Our Creation is currently trying to fix Emnos, he should be back to normal soon.” He says with a smile.
“Which normal?” I ask him.
“The chasing after you one, unfortunately. But you can always change him again.” He says with a laugh.
“Leave him there.” I say to him and he frowns at me.
“You don’t want him back?” He asks me.
“Better if everyone I care about stays away from this world.” I say to him. “Go back Theros, I do not want you here.” I say to him, I see him raise a hand to me and I frown at him as I feel his magic enter into me, I block his magic. “Do not use magic on me without my permission.” I say angrily as I glare at him, he steps back from me with a frown. I feel the anger change inside me, mixing with the emotions from Emnos, I feel the pain, anger, and despair inside me mix into something strange and I feel it changing me.
“Cu Chulainn, there is something wrong.” Theros says as he watches me, I feel magic enter me again and I let the rage loose as I stand, I turn to glare at Cu Chulainn he backs away from me.
“There is something wrong.” He whispers as he watches me, I see fear in his eyes and I enjoy it I grin at him. I feel someone touch me and we vanish I feel them pressing my hand against a stone, the Circle vanishes around us as I feel a finger touch my head and the world goes black around me Emnos laying on the slab the last thing I see.
I open my eyes to see vines wrapped around me, I sit up the vines falling away. Vhaanth watches me, I frown at him. “Did you come to the other world?” I ask him.
“No you are back in your own world, Morrigan.” He says as he watches me stand, I look around us and I see Emnos laying on the slab.
“Why am I back here?” I ask him.
“You were turning into Morrigu.” He says to me and I turn to look back at him fear shoots through me as I stare into his eyes.
“No, that is not possible.” I say quietly.
“Oh, it is very possible. All you have to do is feel the feelings she felt when she fell.” Vhaanth says as he examines me with magic.
“I remember feeling numb, hopeless, like everything is totally pointless. That I should not bothering doing what Creation wants because all it causes is more pain.” I say with a frown.
“Sounds about right, Morrigan.” He says with a frown, he walks over to me and he touches my temple. I see memories flash by as he watches them, I see pain in his eyes and tears stream down his face, then the pain vanishes from him and he drops his hand. “I am sending Aiwass with you, along with Ark, Theros, and Dhuna.” He says as he wipes the tears away.
“It is not fair to Dhuna to separate him from Emnos!” I yell angrily at him.
“I asked to go back, Morrigan.” Dhuna says behind me, I look back at him and I shake my head.
“I am not letting you go.” I say to him, and he smiles at me.
“I am still going.” He says to me. “Emnos will be done in one hundred years, I can come back then. I am bringing back when he comes out of the sleep.” He says to me with a smile.
“No, he needs to stay here.” I say to him.
“I prefer to watch him chase after you again.” Dhuna says with a grin, I feel tears in my eyes.
“I don’t want that to happen to him again.” I say quietly.
“Aiwass is going to be there to make sure it doesn’t.” He says to me, I feel Gods appear I see Ark and Aife, Theros, and Aiwass.
“I do not want them to go.” I say to Vhaanth.
“Creation has made up her mind, this is the way it will happen.” Vhaanth says to me, I feel someone grab my wrist and pull me to the slab, I feel my hand touch the stone and Vhaanth vanishes from my view to be replace by trees. We vanish and the throne room appears around us, I feel them let go of me. I feel them vanish I walk over to the throne and sit down, Cu Chulainn appears in front of me and probes me with magic, and gives me a sad smile.
“Glad you are back to being you.” He says quietly as he walks closer to me.
“Yes I am me again.” I say quietly.
For the next unknown amount of time I sit on the throne and deal with everyone’s problems, the city outside grows according to Cu Chulainn, he says we will have to expand soon. Creation tells me her power is growing thanks to the work I am doing, Ark and Aife created a mansion near one of the towns near the city to help with growth. Aiwass made a mansion right beside the female frenzy’s mansion and came back to laugh hysterically while he told me.
I look down to see Dhuna standing in front of me with Emnos standing beside him. Emnos grins at me in the way he used to, he walks to me and kneels down. “Hello, Morrigan.” Emnos says to me as I feel him touch my hand, I make him vanish to a room in the castle. Dhuna looks at me in alarm, I see him use the connection to find him and laughs as Emnos appears in front of me again.
“Stubborn like you used to be.” I say quietly, he grins and touches me again, I make him vanish. I stand and walk out of the room as he reappears, I walk down the hallway away from him. I hear footsteps running towards me, I feel arms circle around my waist and I feel them pull me close as Dhuna appears in front of me, I feel a kiss on my neck.
“You will be mine.” He whispers in my ear and tears fall down my face, Dhuna gives me sad smile.
“Why do you torture me like this, Dhuna?” I whisper.
“Because he is good for you, Morrigan.” He says to me.
“I don’t want it to happen again.” I say quietly.
“It will not happen, we have taken precautions.” He says to me.
“How do I make him into what he was?” I ask him.
“Only you can do that, I don’t know what you did.” Dhuna says with a sad smile, the memory of talking to Emnos after the fight with Lucifer flashes into my mind.
“Does Ark have an arena?” I ask him quietly and he nods. “Send Lucifer and Satan there.” I say to him as I reach out to him and he nods as he touches my hand, Emnos and I vanish, the arena appears around us. I turn around in his arms and look up at him, he smiles down at me. “I just want to be left alone.” I say quietly as tears run down my face, I back out of his arms and walk to my spot on the arena, I watch Lucifer and Satan appear.
