"Get to the car. All of you. Go!" She screamed frantically grabbing the keys out of her purse.

We all ran to the car. I was the last one there because I got distracted by a lightning bolt striking the sand right in front of me. It was really pretty seeing it up close, but for some reason everyone else looked terrified of it. Oh yeah. Lighting can kill people. Yo Zeus were you aiming for me? If so, you missed. It was really bright and pretty. I thought to myself as I resumed running to the car. Once I got in, Percy and Grover both looked me over to see if I had gotten hurt while Sally started the car and put in it drive.

"Are you ok?" Sally asked looking at me through the mirror.

"Yeah. The lightning was really bright." I answered calmly surprising everyone.

"Are you sure? He got really close to striking you." Grover asked as Percy finally asked about his furry legs.

Percy and Grover started their conversation about how Grover was not a donkey, but a goat from the waist down while I stared ahead to see if I could see anything. I could not which gave me more respect for Sally who was driving. I tuned back into the boys' conversation in time to hear Percy say, "So you admit there was a Mrs. Dodds!"

"Yeah. That meanie tried to kill me. Her breath also smelled like sulfur." I helpfully butted in.

"But why didn't you tell me?" Percy asked confused.

"The less you knew, the fewer monsters you'd attract," Grover stated, "We put mist over the humans' eyes. We hoped you'd think the Kindly One was a hallucination. But it was no good."

"Yeah. Stop being smarter than they thought you would be," I snorted earning a glare from Grover.

I heard another weird bellowy noise behind us and kindly stated, "He's getting closer."

"Whose getting closer?" Percy asked me.

"I don't have to answer that," I said not wanting to tell. "We have to get you to safety."

"She's right," Sally said. "We need to get you to safety first before they explain."

"Safety from what? Who's after me?"

"Oh, nobody much," Grover said sarcastically. "Just the Lord of the Dead and a few of his blood-thirstiest minions."

"Grover!"

"Sorry, Mrs. Jackson. Could you drive faster, please?"

Percy looked so confused as we turned that hard left onto a narrower road. The farmhouses and wooded hills we passed looked really creepy in the night especially when another lightning bolt lit up the night.

"Where are we going?" Percy questioned confused.

Sally answered, but I tuned out when I saw movement behind us with the help of, you guessed it, another lighting bolt. I strained my eyes trying to see him in the dark. I lost the shape when Sally swerved to the right and I slid into the door. I saw Percy looking mighty shocked. He opened his mouth to say something, but got cut off by Zeus being an absolute ass and Sally swerving off the road. Like Percy said, I felt weightless for a second which was fun before I got strangled by the seatbelt.
