An: Thank you for reading my book

For the next couple of days, I prioritized my exercises Chiron gave to me that I definitely haven't been slacking off of doing. Since I am in a wheelchair, most of the camp activities don't really apply to me. I did get to see Percy eat wood-nymph dust and get absolutely destroyed by Clarisse in multiple wrestling matches though which was pretty funny to me. Not to Percy, but to me.

"Don't worry, Percy. I'm sure you'll do better next time," I told him after an hour of him getting beaten up by Clarisse.

"Yeah right," He snorted starting to take me to the lake.

Usually, he would let me ride with him when he went canoeing because it was the only time we could hang out and talk without being interrupted by the other campers. I could tell he was getting dejected by not getting claimed right away. I guess I can understand the god's point of view. I mean living for hundreds of years would make anyone pretty forgetful, right? They could at least remember their children though. That parts pretty messed up. I was shaken out of my thoughts as Percy let out a really loud sigh.

I wasn't sure what I should say to comfort at first before deciding to tell him, "We can save her, Percy."

"What do you mean?" Percy asked standing up quickly and almost capsizing the little canoe.

"Stop it!" I screamed clenching the side of the canoe in terror. "I can't swim!"

Percy immediately sat down and asked again, "What do you mean?"

I ignored his question and instead demanded to be taken back to land. I know Percy wouldn't let me drown, but it's still scary. He sensed I wasn't going to answer his questions anymore so he paddled us back to the docks where a crowd had gathered. I slithered my way out of the canoe and into my wheelchair that Will had been looking after for me. I learned my lesson the last time I left my wheelchair unsupervised. I got it back after I asked Hestia if she she'd seen where it went.

I make sure to give Hestia most of my offering each night. I also give my offerings specifically to lesser known gods and godesses instead of the more known ones. They deserve to be recognized too which is why I asked for a list of all the gods and goddesses Chiron knew of. It shocked him into silence which was a win for me since he was trying to lecture me after I put rainbow glitter all over everything Travis and Connor Stoll owned. To be fair, they shouldn't have taken my only wheelchair and glued it to the big house roof.

On that Thursday, I was able to attend Percy's first sword-fighting lesson. I joined all of cabin eleven in the arena. Luke was gracious enough to let me join in on the easy stuff like the stabbing and slashing. When it came time for the dueling in pairs, I sat to the side next to the drink cooler watching. I quietly laughed when Luke announced that he would be Percy's partner.

"Good luck. Luke's the best swordsman in the last three hundred years," Ethan said. Not anymore.

"Maybe he'll go easy on me," Percy replied.

Ethan snorted as I called out, "You can do it. I believe in you, Percy."

Percy shot me a grateful smile as he and Luke started to spar. I winced everytime Percy got hit. I zoned out until I heard Luke call for a break. Percy was so sweaty that I started to feel icky just looking at him. I handed out cold drinks to everyone from the drink cooler. I smirked when I saw Percy pour the water over his head.

"Okay, everybody circle up! If Percy doesn't mind, I want to give you a little demo," Luke explained. "I'm going to teach you a technique that will allow you to twist your enemy's blade with the flat your own sword so that they will have no choice but to drop their weapon. This is difficult. I've had it used against me. No laughing at Percy, now. Most swordsmen have to work years to master this technique."
