Reach

Ash had been walking through this dead world for a few hours. The winds blowing harshly, the skies now damaged, no longer blue and bright. The sun couldn't even be seen as the clouds above roared with lightning and Thunder. Dust constantly being blown everywhere due to the harsh winds.

Ash: Mayday, mayday, this is Lieutenant Ash Church of Blood Gulch Outpost Alpha can anyone read me over?

No response.

Ash: Mayday, mayday, I am a survivor of a shipwreck, and am in need of immediate rescue, please respond.

He got the same result. It wasn't entirely a lie. Seeing as he would be stranded even in he was survivor of a shipwreck.

Ash: Mayday, mayday, this is Lieutenant Ash Church of the UNSC Marine Corp! I am stranded, does anyone copy?

No response.

Ash: Mayday, this is Lieutenant Ash Church, I am a soldier.

No response.

Ash: Is anybody out there?

No response.

Ash: Can anybody hear me?!

And once again, he had got no response. He sighed and continued his seemingly endless trek until he came across a large UNSC structure, a shipyard. He looked up on one of the higher levels and saw a MAC Cannon. Being curious, he made his way up to the massive weapon, only to come across a dead Sangheili and a dead Spartan. The Sangheili was a Zealot laying face down with a kukri knife, which he assumed was the Spartan's, and the Spartan laying against the railing. He could tell the Elite was a Zealot due to the armor configurations he studied.

Both soldiers had bled out and died awhile ago.

Ash knelt down infront of the spartan and placed his hand on the chest plate. Shaking his head with a sigh as he noticed the type of wound in the armor. And his Kukri knife still inside the elite's throat.

Ash: Looks like you were ready. (Looks at the elite) I wonder, how about him?

Ash stood up after looking to see he could only get a few grenades off the Spartan, along with his dog tags. Emile-A239, it read. Ash stashed the tags and took the spartan's knife out of the elite, wiping it of the blood and stashing the tags and blade away. He then stood and something was caught in the corner of his eyes.
He noticed something nearby but the storm wasn't making it way to see. And it was messing with his HUD's functions in terms of field of vision. He was about to walk away but stopped, then turned towards the Spartan and gave the fallen soldier a salute.

Ash: Rest in peace soldier. I hope you live a good life in the next one.

A cloaked figure watched Ash through the dust, fading from view as fast as they appeared.
