I got reprimanded. My confrontation with the ICU nurses spread like wildfire in the whole hospital that it immediately reached the management. And for that, I was punished. I was suspended for two weeks for slapping Jana. But I wasn't alone. They were too. They were suspended for a month for bullying not only me but all the others nurses and patients--this shocked me to know--that they bullied.
And honestly, how could they just do that, right? How can they act towards someone who's already suffering from illness? People just want to help others. I don't understand. They are just so heartless.
But aside from that, it was discussed that they will be transferred to another branch of the hospital in the province, where they will be supervised. Leaving them two options, it is either to stay or resign. But if they resign, they will be given a bad record--as if they don't already have.
And for Emily, she was kept. No one wants to speak up against her. Even if it was obvious that she tolerated the other nurses behavior, still no one dares to involve her. But I did. So, like me, she was punished with a two weeks suspension. And although it was unfair, I know how Emily is needed in the hospital. I would just like to think that she didn't do worse than tolerating those nurse.
Nonetheless, it was unfair.
Knowing the decision of the management saddens me because it will also be a bad record for me. But thinking on the brighter side, I will have more time for Mari. I will be able to drop and pick her up from her school. I immediately felt fine about it.
They look up to her and I see why. I said instead.
Shane shrugged. "Sabagay.
I found him there, brows creased as he was reading a document.
"Yung memo ba yan?" I asked.
"You're suspended for two weeks," ani niya.
I nodded. "Hindi ba nila nasabi sayo nung nag meeting kayo tungkol dyan?"
"I was not included in the decision making. They know you're my wife and they think it would be a conflict," he answered.
"It surely would," I said, smiling at him. "It's fine. I deserve the punishment."
"I'm not fine with it."
"Well, the management had decided. Buti nga at two weeks suspension lang. Paano kung termination?"
"I will not let that happen," sagot niya agad.
I smiled and walked to him. I sat on his lap--like he always wanted--his arms immediately wrapped around my waist. "It's fine, really. I will have more time for Mari. Mahahatid at masusundo ko na siya sa school," I told her.
"I will miss you here," he said, pouting.
I chuckled. "That's just two weeks, love. And you see me at home. Before you sleep and when you wake up in the morning."
"Still."
"Anong still ka dyan! We're together 24/7, Aydan.
"Love, I have missed you for five fucking years.
"Seriously, it's fine, okay? Two weeks muna akong sa bahay. For two weeks, I will be a housewife," dagdag ko pa.
Aydan arched his brow. I told him to let it go.
He was playing with our daughter as I help our helper prepares for our dinner.
"Hi," I greeted him as I entered our bathroom. He's under the shower and the water is running down his body.
Aydan didn't say anything. He was just watching me as I discarded my clothes. And when I stepped in the shower, he moved aside.
I pouted and reached for his chest. "Are you mad?" I asked, looking at him, showing my puppy look.
Still, he didn't answer. Instead, he ran his fingers to my hair, wetting it.
"Love," I called and he immediately looked at me. "Can you tell me what upsets you?" I asked again.
This time, he shook his head. "I'm not mad, love. I was just thinking," he finally answered.
He slid his hand to my body, settling them on my waist and pulling me closer to him. My breasts pressing on his chest.
"What are you thinking then?" I asked, making circles on his shoulder using my middle finger.
Aydan leaned on my neck, planting a kiss in there before whispering, "I'm thinking of buying the hospital."
My eyes widened. I pushed him a bit, enough to see his face. "You what?"
"They are selling the biggest share, anyway. Might as well buy the whole hospital," he answered, sliding his hands up until under my boobs.
I shook my head. "You can't do that."
Aydan arched his brow again. "Wait until it is listed under our name," he said and kissed me, shutting me for speaking again.
His kisses went from my mouth down my jaw and neck. He was kissing me there while his hand was kneading my breast, making me arched more.
"We're... we're not done talking, Aydan... Ah..." I told him, moaning in the end. I hate that my desire for him is stronger than my anger.
"We're done talking, love. I have already decided, already. I'm buying the hospital," he answered in one swift move, he turned me to face the wall of our shower room, my back facing him.
"You can't buy the hospital, Aydan," I said, still insisting on the argument despite the uncontrollable desire rising between us.
"Watch me," he said and without a warning he slid his member inside me.
Oh, damn it!
