"Aydan, what's wrong?" I repeated when he stayed like that; angrily looking in front of us.

"Lolo!" Mari shouted, making Aydan snap.

"He's not your grandfather, Amaris!" He yelled, startling both Mari and I.

My eyes widened and Mari cried. She probably got scared by how sharp her father's voice was.

"Aydan!" I called him out. I reached out for Mari and tried to calm her down. "What's wrong with you? You are scaring your daughter!"

But instead of answering me, he took off his seatbelt and went out of the car. And without a warning, he went to Alfred and punched him.

My eyes widened once more witnessing what he did. "Oh, my god..." I immediately got out of his car and ran to him, stopping him from throwing another punch. "Aydan, stop!"

I grabbed him by the collar to strip him away from the poor old man but he was too strong for me. So, instead, I hugged him from the back. "Aydan, Mari can see you. Please, stop. Don't let your daughter see you like this!"

He stopped punching Alfred but I can still feel the shaking of his body. He's furious. I am sure how much anger he has towards Alfred but I don't understand why?

"Aydan, please..."

One deep breath, Aydan stood. He held my hand with his shaking one as he stood tall in front of Alfred—whose nose is now bleeding.

"Aydan.," I called again, I don't understand why he was telling him that.

Alfred chuckled and said, "Is this really how you'll greet your father, son?" He stood, wiping his nose with the back of his hand. He shook his head, smirking.

My eyes widened and my free hand flew to my mouth.

He is Aydan's father?

Alfred?

"I don't have a father," Aydan said before turning to me. "Let's go." He turned his back and pulled me gently to follow.

"Oh, really? Don't you want your wife to know who your father is? He laughed. "Don't worry. I already introduced myself to her and to your daughter. She's cute when she called me lolo."

"Shut your mouth and stay away from my family," he answered instead, pointing a finger on him.

But Alfred just laughed at what he said. "What? I just want to meet my daughter-in-law and my granddaughter."

Aydan faced him again, "Don't test my patience," he said.

"Or else what?" Alfred chuckled more. "What can you do aside from hiding behind your mother, huh?"

"Or else I will make sure your daughter will never get that fucking bone marrow," he said, smirking. "Don't push me to the edge, Alfred, if you don't want to lose another child," he warned him. "You don't know what I am capable of doing."

This time he walked straight back to his car. He settled me in first before going to his side, ignoring what his father is saying.

"You son of a bitch! You won't exist without me! You owe me your life! If I only knew you'd like this, I would have ki—"

I heard him shouting until Aydan shut his car's door closed. He was still shaking from anger as he gripped on the steering wheel and roared the engine to life and drove his car away.

"Can you still drive?" I asked, worried. I was now at the back, where Mari was, still crying. I took her out of her car seat and put on my lap, hugging her as I tried to calm her down. "Hush, baby. Mommy's here."
