Tobias POV

"Ladies and gentlemen Mrs. Gregory" the crowd claps as she makes her way to the center of the stage. I saw her at the funeral but I never spoke to her. I guess she holds a higher position than that of Marcus. I turn around. They seem to be done stretching.

"You guys ready?" Neil asks stopping on Tris. She won't be able to participate for the fact that security is very high around here. She looks at me. I give her a smile.

"Yes" they all whisper.

"Alright...Shauna will you do us the honor" Veronica speaks into her mic. Shauna gives us a thumbs up.

"People of Miami...many of you have asked who the factions are...the factions are family, a home..." my voice begins

"I'm only doing this to help" Eric says beside me. I look at him. He shrugs a smile on his face. I don't blame Eric...he was only trying to do his job. I shake my head and head out...

"So let us show you in our best way...

*watch Video*

The cheering continues even after we are done. The factions gather in and cheer. I search for any sign of Tris. I want to stand next to her when she reveals everything. Neil and Veronica signal me over...this is it...

I run towards them and the four of us make it on stage. I grab onto Tris hand and squeeze it. She keeps walking our hands United like the abnegation symbol. People start directing their attention towards us. It gets quiet. Tris lets go of my hand and steps towards the microphone.

"What-"

"Stop her!" Jeanine orders. We look over at Mrs. Gregory.

"Wait-" she says. I breath in. Tris stands there looking at the crowd. I'm about to step up to help her but Neil stops me.

"She'll be fine" he assures me. I nod. Everyone waits patiently.

"Say something!" Someone yells from the crowd. She looks down and back up.

"I..." she breathes in "I know who you all think I am...you see me as a murder a person unworthy to talk to. Well...you can think whatever you want from whoever you hear but believe me when I tell you this..." she looks back at me. I nod telling her to go on "The only reason I'm standing where I am now is because of dancing...my parents never supported me in doing this and neither did my own faction...crew" she corrects herself.

"The pressure of belonging to a faction hurt me so much that I ended up standing up as a traitor. Little did I know that things would only get worse. I became a divergent...that single rebel that didn't want to be in the factions. I created an army without knowing. Several with me but many against me. I created the enemy"

"My dad 'died' for a cause...I thought it was my fault because I was being selfish and greedy but I was wrong. Tobias taught me that I only think of others and maybe I am a little selfish but who isn't...the point of me being up here is to stand up for myself just like I did the day I stood up as Divergent" I look at the crowd.

"I mean why are we here? To congratulate the government for taking over our homes...our jobs? Jeanine Mathews has been lying to you all...she's the reason as to why you people are leaving-" Jeanine makes her way on stage. Tris backs away. I step in front of her sheilding her from Jeanine

"I will not stand there and allow you to call me a liar" Jeanine protests. Her mic is on.

"Why don't you just tell everyone Jeanine...don't you think I would have killed Tris already? If she had killed my father"

"She's lying to you Tobias"

"No, I know Tris is better then that...I helped her escape out of prison and not once has she tried to kill me...she has and had no reason to kill the eatons but you on the other hand do"

"She killed Marcus!" She yells.

"Wait" we look at Andrew Prior "I faked my death to hide from you Jeanine Mathews...just be honest for once"

"Zeke" I call out. He holds Drew hostage on stage. Everyone gasps. I take hold of him and walk him towards the microphone. He doesn't speak..."talk!" I order.

"Jeanine set me free only 3 days after being arrested for molesting a girl"

"Who ordered you to molest this girl?" I question "say it"

"Jeanine" she looks at the crowd. The cops run towards her and push her down when she tries to resist. They grab a hold of Drew.

Tris stands there. It's over. I pull her into a hug and kiss the top of her head.

Sorry...I'm not good at these things. Comment. Vote. The next chapter will be the last chapter...but remember I will be posting an epilogue.
