Tobias POV

All the other leaders have left, leaving me and Zeke behind. We sit in the same place I sat on during the ceremony. I look across the auditorium at Tris.

"How long does it take to think about it?" Zeke says.

"You didn't only do it for me did you?" I ask Zeke. He shrugs.

"Tris, she's divergent. She stood up to it and I think she's braver than any dauntless. I wouldn't be able to do that" he says. He's right. Even I wouldn't. I look over at her.

"Look man, it was your idea" he stands up.

"What are you doing?" I say.

"I'm leaving you to wait...I'm tired" he says. He pats my shoulder "good luck" he starts walking away.

"Zeke!" I yell

"Bye Four" he walks back and bumps into the door. He curses. I laugh and he walks out. I turn around to look at Tris. She seems to be in deep thought. I look around. Still trying to build up the courage to walk up to her. I can do this. It's not like she's going to bite me.

I stand up and make my way over to her. She holds her gaze towards the ground. I stop in front of her. She looks up.

"Think about it you don't get to pick again" I say. She raises an eyebrow.

"Did The idea of me not needing your help pop into your head at some time?" I nod and pull up a chair. I sit down in front of her.

"Yeah, it did...I just want you to know that it wasn't my idea...it was Zeke's" I smile. She looks up at me.

"Why would he want me in Dauntless? I mean all the years I've..."

"He saw that bravery in you. You stood up to being Divergent. You took the risk. That's an act only a dauntless would do..." I look into her eyes "I also saw that" she nods.

"If I pick dauntless there must be some sort of initiation thing" she says.

"Isn't that what's supposed to happen"

"What are the risks"

"I am not the one to tell you that...Zeke is the leader. I only give him the feedback" she stays silent for a while. I think processing through what I just told her. She stands up and looks down at me.

"Like I said before...I don't need help" she walks away. I sit there. Is she serious.

"Why are you acting this way? I have never seen this side of you" I turn around to find her packing a bag with things. I guess her dance clothes.

"Well I wouldn't be the one to talk...you've only met me for like what? 1 day?" I laugh.

"Well I have to agree with you on that...but you are really stubborn"

"Thanks" I smirk. She pulls the bag over her shoulder and looks at me.

"So you don't want a dancing career?" She looks everywhere else but at me.

"No"

"Then what do you want?" I stand up and take slow steps towards her.

"I mean to be honest, I love dancing. I just can't deal with the factions...I mean what makes you think I'm good enough for Dauntless?"

"It's not like you have much of a choice" I point out. I stop in front of her "I think you don't fit perfectly into anywhere...that's why you're divergent. And if you don't take this chance then you never will be able to dance"

"If I were you I wouldn't think to much about it" I say. I walk away and just as I'm about to reach the door...

"I want in" I turn around.

"I thought..."

"You thought but like you said...let's not waste any chance" I cross my arms. She raises an eyebrow.

Sorry it took me so long. I'm going to be real honest. I've been lazy. I'll try to update more sooner.
