Tris POV
I lay in bed examining my papers for the past hour. Tobias sits on my chair fiddling with my Rubik cube. He seems to find it easy. I look back at the paper, pen in hand...
Beatrice Prior former divergent...death of Andrew Prior....Beatrice Prior former daughter of Andrew and Natalie Prior has no idea that...
I sit up. No, how could Christina have this information? My grandma died years ago...right? I mean she did die at the age of 45...I wasn't even born then. I was born only 2 years after...if she is that means she's like 65? She's young.
"My grandma is still alive...this is the only event that is wrong" I say out loud.
"What?" I glance at the cube in Tobias hand.
"How'd you do that?" He shrugs and sets it down.
"Okay, focus...why was Christina hiding this information?"
"I don't know...I need to speak to her" I stand up. He does too.
"Look maybe we should wait...then we'll go talk to her. If they find out we were snooping in her desk..." I nod. I sit back down. He takes a seat next to me.
"Edith Prior...my mom only spoke of her at times but other than that she never said anything" I look at Tobias.
"Is she someone important?" He questions.
"Yeah, I think she was a politician" I say "but why would they have my timeline?"
"They've been watching you since..." he says. Confusion in his eyes.
"I think we shouldn't trust anyone here..." I tell him. He scans my face and nods. He takes my hand and places something in it. Something like a jewel.
"I know this isn't the right moment but...I found this near the car accident" I lift up a charm. Birds...like the one's on my collar. So weird. He probably knew about the charm my mom had bought me. I scan the little details. It is clear that it's made of gold and very expensive, even though it's small.
"You think my dad had recently bought this?" I glance back at Tobias.
"I guess...their just like the birds on your collar" he smiles. I nod finding it strange that my dad knew. I look down.
"I think he knew about the tattoo...it's like he said in the hospital...he saw me as his daughter until that day that..." I hesitate "that happened" I look up. He holds his gaze towards mine.
We don't break eye contact. When I used to meet my crushes eyes I could feel my eyes stinging. It isn't until I met Tobias that I realized I didn't feel so unsteady but complete.
"This just gets more awkward" I say. He laughs and looks down. I can see a shade of red appear on his cheeks "are you blushing?" I say in mock surprise.
"I'm not blushing" he defends.
"Right you're going to say that your in growing beard is covering that" it actually looks good "...you have a good way of making sad moments something funny" I laugh. He pushes me down and straddles me. I look into his burning blue eyes (Ik...what blue eyes?...well the one's from the book cause Theo doesn't have any...only in underworld)
"You look beautiful today" he smiles.
"I'm not laughing" I say with a decent smile.
"Well it's not a joke so..." I roll my eyes.
"Shut up" I laugh and push his face away, he grabs a hold of my wrist. Our eyes lock again. He leans down and touches his lips to my ear. A smile makes it's way into my lips.
