The next day I was summoned to Fury's office and I knew exactly what it was about. I sighed as I reached his secretary and she just motioned for me to go in.

"Scale from 1-10?" I whispered to her.

"11." She said and I groaned. I opened the door.

"I told you not to give him that file yet you did anyway!" Fury yelled and I sighed.

"Listen...he needed to know someone was still here, he felt alone." I said and Fury sighed.

"And if she blows your cover?! He needs to be eased into who you are." Fury said and I groaned.

"She knows not to say anything and to be honest I gave him a fake name last night so he tells her my name she won't know, or she will know there is something up." I said and Fury looked angry again.

"Is he going to see her?" Fury asked and I shrugged.

"I don't know! I thought you were watching him!" I yelled and Fury groaned.

"No! You're his handler." Fury said and I groaned.

"Fury, you don't want him to know who I am and yet you want me to handle him. Why not just get someone else on it?" I asked and Fury sighed.

"Because I was under strict orders it had to be you." Fury said.

"By who?" I asked

"Peggy." Fury said and I sighed.

"She would..." I trailed off.

"Can I go see her?" I asked and Fury nodded as I left his office. I made it to the nursing home and before I could walk in the room I heard his voice.

*****STEVE POV*****

I had just got back from visiting the museum that was dedicated to me and it was too much. I needed to see someone I knew.

"You don't seem shocked to see me." I said taking Peggy's hand and she laughed.

"Should I be? I always knew you were alive, you just had to be difficult." Peggy said and I huffed a laugh. I looked at her bedside table and saw all the pictures of her and her family through the years.

"You should be proud of yourself Peggy." I said to her.

"I've lived a good life. I just wish you got to live yours." Peggy said. I looked down at her holding my hand. "What is it?" Peggy asked noticing.

"For as long as I can remember I just wanted to do what was right. I guess I'm not quite sure what that is anymore. I thought I could throw myself back in and try to follow orders again but it's just not the same." I explained and Peggy laughed.

"You're always so dramatic." Peggy said and I rolled my eyes with a smile.

"Look at you though, you saved the world. Reading your file I saw you helped found S.H.I.E.L.D. that's the main reason I'm going to stay with it." I said and Peggy sighed.

"The world has changed no matter what anyone says. None of us can go back all we can do is our best and sometimes our best is starting over." Peggy said and I sighed.

"Starting over where? With who in my life?" I asked and Peggy sighed.

"I know someone..." Peggy trailed off.

*****NORMAL POV*****

"I know someone..." I heard Peggy say and I knew I needed to interject.

"Mrs. Carter! How are you feeling this afternoon?" I asked walking in and she looked at me oddly.

"Fine..." Peggy said.

"Agent Carnes." Steve said and looked at him. "Sorry...Summer." Steve said and I smiled.

"Nice to see you again Captain." I said and he shook his head.

"Steve is fine." He said and I gave a small nod.

"Steve do you think you could go to the nurses station and ask them to get me some juice please?" Peggy asked and Steve nodded.

"Of course." Steve said and got up once he was gone Peggy looked at me.

"Agent Carnes?!" She asked and I groaned.

"Fury didn't think it was a good idea to tell him my name when he ran. He knew I looked familiar and he would have been angry probably." I said and Peggy sighed.

"You think he isn't going to noticed it now? You may be in normal clothes but you still look like me kid, it's your cross to bear!" Peggy said and I sighed.

"I love looking like you grandma, stop." I said and she smiled. "And you went behind my back and wanted me to be his handler? Like you were?" I asked and Peggy sighed.

"I think he can be comfortable with you. You are like me and it can be a great pairing." Peggy said and I looked at her.

"You were thinking of another kind of pairing weren't you?" I asked and Peggy smiled slyly.

"I don't know what you are talking about..." Peggy said.

"You think you are so sly and smooth grandma but I see right through you." I said and she smiled.

"Grandma?!" I heard someone say from the door and I looked to see Steve standing there and I sighed.

"Steve, let me explain..." I said and she groaned and left. I groaned.

"And there ya go. This is why I always taught you not to lie." Peggy said and I glared at her and she smiled at me.
