DR. TAMARA'S POVI was busy examining some laboratory test of Trinity when I heard the creak from the doorknob as it opened at iniluwa nito ang isang lalaki na nakasuot ng puting overcoat. Actually all he wear is white.
"Can I come in?" he asked eventhough he's already inside.
"You're already standing in front of me. Do I have a choice?" sabi ko at tinarayan siya.
He goes by the name Xaiser DeLarkco, a well-known agent in town, best known as "Agent Lax".
"How come the prettiest Doctor I've known is stressing too much? Does your job require you to be pretty!?" he flirtatiously said. I rolled my eyes and let out a deep sigh. Here we go again. Xaiser's cheesy lines. Shamelessly, this Agent Lax, the great Xasier DeLarkco is my ex-boyfriend. The reason of our break-up is because of our job. We are busy on our own passion to the point that we forgot to prioritize our relationshiop. Regardless, it is mutual, we both agreed with it.
"Let's get straight to the point. What have you found?" I immediately diverted the topic.
"Your patient is very mysterious, it buy me some time but don't worry it's Agent Lax you are working with, so you know I won't stop unless I found something," pagpapahaba niya pa ng usapan.
I raised my brow as a sign to spill it out, habang hindi ako mapakali sa swivel chair na inuupuan ko.
"As you can see, we found this on the accident area." It immediately caught my attention and awakened my curiosity.
"It is cleared as stated in the reports, but you know me, right, and besides we can't find traces regarding their case...so I had to do what I think will work. I examine the photo.
"Who's child is this?" I asked out of confusion.
"I don't know. The collision was a havoc. Unidentified. It's still under investigation. I let out a deep sigh when I suddenly heard that tragedy again. I grieve for the innocent souls, I just hope they rest in peace wherever they are.
"But you know what's interesting with that?" biglang asik ni Xaiser kaya nabaling ang atensyon ko sa kaniya. "It has a logo of a...I think a convention...seminary or what...orphanage." He flipped the photo at doon ko nga nakita ang logo na halos burado na rin. I examine it again using my microscope.
"Until now we are doing our best on finding traces regarding that one. I looked at Xai in the eyes.
"Can I keep this one?" I asked. I hold it tightly and I saw him watching my hand holding his again, there I saw he quenched because of his adam's apple. "Please, Xai?" I asked again in a soft voice so he could melt. We've been together for three years so I knew Xaiser's vulnerable side.
It made me feel awkward. He let out chuckles. "Don't worry, malakas ka sa akin. You can keep it."
"One more thing, Xai. The three men, do you have any information regarding them for me." Nagpakawala ito ng malalim na hininga.
"Oh the trinity." I rolled my eyes out of annoyance. Sa pagkaka-alala ko hindi naman 'to bingi.
"No, the three men, not Trinity," mariing sabi ko.
"I know its the three guy...I just call them trinity because its three of them," giit nito.
"You're confusing me," saad ko at nag-cross arms.
"Sorry. Anyway, that three guy, no traces found...still a mystery." "But to tell you honestly, Tamara...I don't trust them," saad niya.
"You put judgment to anyone easily," malamig na saad ko sa kaniya.
"That's why this is my job because I don't trust people," agad naman na sagot nito.
He continued, "I have a strong feeling that this is a sort of a-" I cut of his words.
"What? A scheme?" Ako na ang nagtuloy sa sinabi niya.
"Straight from your mouth." Napakibit-balikat ito at nginitian ako ng pilit. "I guess that's all for toda-" His words were cut off again when a knock echoed in my office and suddenly it open.
"Good day, Dra. Alfaro. And oh, we have a visitor. Agent Lax, nice to see you." It was Dr. Vallejo.
"My job is done here, I have to go," paalam ni Xai at saka tumayo.
"Please keep within yourself what we shared here for now. Thank you for your service," I said. He gave me a plain smile.
"My pleasure," saad niya at iniyuko ang ulo. His usual way to say goodbye.
"We found an unusual DNA on one of the survivor's blood."
"What? Who's that patient?" I query.
"Patient 1."
"Bring me to the laboratory now. I need to see it myself."
