I am not certainly a believer of faith... or even the love he gave as written in the scripture. The room was silent except for the steady hum of the machines monitoring the fragile boundary between life and death. I lay there, immobilized, a prisoner in my own skin, as tears I couldn’t control streamed from my eyes. The warmth of each drop turned cold against my cheeks, yet even that sensation began to dissolve into nothingness. Then, with a sudden sting, a warmth trickled that wasn’t saltwater—it was blood, seeping from the depths of my anguish. My vision blurred, not from the crimson trail but from the brilliance of a light that pierced the darkness like a knife. It gleamed relentlessly, a mockery of hope I couldn’t hold.
I wanted to scream, to demand an explanation, but my voice was silenced by the unbearable weight of emptiness. My body was no longer mine—it felt as though the pain had replaced every nerve, leaving me suspended in an unbearable, hollow suffering. The weight of existence pressed down on me until I felt less than human, reduced to a fragmented being drowning in despair.
Then came the voices, clinical and detached, slicing through the silence like shards of ice.
"Her vital statistics are normal. She’s ready..."
Ready for what? Those were the last words I heard before the veil of consciousness slipped away, leaving me adrift in a darkness that offered no solace. No mercy.
In those final moments, before I was consumed entirely, my mind repeated one thought:
How can God be real if he ain't even listening to my cries of the suffering?
My suffering felt infinite, a black hole devouring what little I had left. The light wasn’t salvation; it was indifference, as though heaven itself had turned its back.
In my state of fight or flight, I heard a voice that become a beacon of hope and light my way.“I find my way and choose to walked with sin to be with a sinner. . .”
