A WEEK LATER

"Are you ready, Ms. Johansson?"

It's been a week since Scarlett received Y/N's email and she's slowly trying her best to fulfill her promises, she's slowly going out again and meeting her friends and family.

She's also going back to work, but before that, she needs to do something first.

Bungee Jumping.

The only thing that Y/N and her never got the chance to do before her girlfriend passed away. So, she did her research and found a place for bungee jumping near where she's at, and she's about to do that now.

Scarlett took a deep breath and nodded her head, her heart is beating so fast. "Yeah, I'm ready." She said, smiling.

"Okay, in the count of three, you'll jump. Alright?"

"Yeah, okay." Scarlett said, smiling.

"One... two... three!"

"CARPE DIEM!" Scarlett screamed when she jumped.

And Scarlett continue to scream at the top of her lungs, letting out her pain. The strong wind hits her skin, it's so strong that it feels like Y/N is screaming with her.

She started crying while screaming.

"I love you, Y/N L/N!!!" The actress screamed.

As she continue to fall, her screams slowly turned into sobs. Until she stopped falling and just dangling in the air, she took a deep breath to control her breathing.

"I love you." She whispered and closes her eyes.

The wind is gently caressing her face now, it made her smile. She remember what Y/N said in her video: when you feel the wind, think that it's me, caressing your skin.

She took a deep breath, "I feel you, my love. I love you so much."

She had goosebumps from the way the wind caressed her skin. It feels like an embrace from a loved one. She closed her eyes, feeling her heart aching and the wind trying to mend her shattered heart. "I love you, my baby. Let's meet again—someday, somewhere. Let's meet again for the first time."

AN HOUR LATER

"I did it, baby. I have officially crossed every list on your bucket list." Scarlett said, smiling and tracing her tattoo, the one she got with Y/N. Her lover's initials and the words, carpe diem.

After the bungee jumping, the actress went straight home to her new house. Yes, she recently moved. Just two days ago, actually.

The beach house that she rented for her and Y/N. It wasn't easy because the place wasn't for sale, but she fought hard for it, and luckily, the owner let her buy the whole place. It wasn't cheap at all, considering that it's a private beach house. But it was worth it since this is the place where she last held her girlfriend. And this very same ocean is where they scatter Y/N's ashes, so it was inevitable for her to buy this house because this is where she feels closer to Y/N.

And she has felt more at ease since moving into that house. And of course, it still hurts and it's even more painful because it's not her last day with Y/N that hurts the most, it's more of the memories and what if's that follow. And she knows it will forever hurt her, but she can't do anything about it now. She can't bring back the love of her life; all she can do is be better. For herself and for Y/N.

"You know, I still see you in my dreams every night. And all I could remember was hugging you so tight, I think it's because I know that as soon as I wake up... you'll be gone." Scarlett said, "But even though I'm feeling this pain, I still don't regret anything. And I like to imagine that our adventure hasn't ended yet and that one day we'll cross paths again, that we'll meet for the first time and finally have our happy ending. Until then, I have to face my reality that I'll spend my days reminiscing our adventures—remembering you for longer than I've spent with you."

The actress wiped her tears, the sound of the ocean reminded her of Y/N.

Everything reminds her of Y/N.

"Thank you so much for making me realize that there's more in life outside our job," She said, watching as the sun slowly sets. "I'll be fine, baby. I know you'll always be there for me, not physically, I know that. But you're always in my heart and in my head. I will always love you, Y/N. I will love you for the rest of my life."

As the sun finally set, the actress felt the wind hit her skin gently. And it made her heart ache longingly, but it also made her smile.

She knows it's going to be hard and there will be days that she will probably break down and feel like giving up, but with the love and happiness that Y/N brought to her, she knows it will be enough to take a step and enjoy life.

She'll remember what Y/N said to her in her video. As long as she can feel the wind, hear the sound of the ocean, watch the sunset, see the moon, and feel the sun every waking day, she'll be fine. It's her reminder that Y/N lives in everything that she can still see and feel. And that will be her very own strength to live with no regrets, to always seize the day, and with every adventure that she'll have, she knows that Y/N will be there with her—in her heart where Y/N belongs, where the love of her life will live on.
