A MONTH AND A HALF LATER

"Are you ready, baby?" Scarlett asked, smiling a little.

"Not really." Y/N said, sighing.

It's been a month and a half since Y/N continued on with her chemotherapy, but her health is not getting better. And she wants to just give up and face her reality, but Scarlett is always there, reminding her that it will be worth it, that she will be okay.

It's also been a month and a half since Scarlett and Y/N made it official, and Scarlett has been the best girlfriend and a friend. She never let Y/N do things alone and she always makes sure that her girlfriend is well taken care of and loved.

Though, Y/N's losing her hair. And it just breaks her heart so much because she loves her hair; it makes her confident and beautiful. But that's a side effect of her chemotherapy.

Right now, the actress is about to shave Y/N's head. And she's upset and scared, she cried for two hours straight when they made a decision to just cut her hair and shave it since she keeps having bald spots and her hair is falling out.

"You're gonna be beautiful either way." Scarlett said and kissed Y/N's head. "Ready?"

Y/N took a deep breath and nodded her head.

Scarlett gave her girlfriend a warm smile as she turned on the electric razor. She kissed her girlfriend's cheek before starting.

Y/N bit her bottom lip as her girlfriend shaved the side of her head. She's trying her best to hold back her tears. She knows once she starts crying, she'll never stop.

— after some time of shaving Y/N's head, Scarlett carefully watched her girlfriend. Y/N's staring at herself through the mirror and she's just heartbroken with what she's seeing. It's not even the fact that she's literally bald now, it's not about her love for her hair anymore. It's about her reality, the fact that she's slowly dying.

"You're beautiful, baby." Scarlett said, smiling. "You're so damn beautiful."

Y/N didn't say anything and just looked at Scarlett through the mirror since the actress was still standing behind her.

"It's gonna be okay." Scarlett said, smiling.

"Turn that off, please." Y/N said, referring to the electric razor.

Scarlett smiled and kissed Y/N's shaved head. Then she looked at herself through the mirror and started shaving her own hair.

Y/N's eyes widened and she gasped, "Scarlett!"

Scarlett just smiled and continued with her task. She raised an eyebrow as she focused on it.

Y/N's lips trembled before she finally gave in and just cried. She covered her mouth with her hand as she watched her girlfriend shave her head. It feels like Scarlett is once again saving her life by pulling her out of the darkness.

Scarlett smiled and looked at Y/N. She stopped shaving so she could kiss Y/N's head.

"What are you doing?" Y/N asked, crying quietly.

"Supporting you, baby, and showing you that I'm true to my words when I say that you are beautiful." Scarlett said and continue with her task. "And I told you that you'll never be alone with this, right?"

"Baby," Y/N sobbed. "What about your image? Whatever upcoming movies you'll have? You'll also need your hair for your sponsors and your modeling work. Y-You can't be bald like me."

Scarlett finished shaving her head. She turned off the electric razor and placed it down on the sink. She runs her hands over her shaved head and smiles, "Beautiful."

"Scarlett," Y/N spoke. "Did you hear what I said?" She asked.

Scarlett hummed and turned Y/N's chair around. She held her girlfriend's face and looked between her eyes. "I heard every single word that you said, babe. And I don't care about any of those. I only care about you, and I'm going to support my girlfriend in any way possible. You're so beautiful and you're strong, baby. We're going to get through this together, okay?"

Y/N nodded her head. "Okay."

Scarlett smiles and wiped Y/N's tears, "Together. Say it, baby."

"Together." Y/N said, smiling now.

Scarlett smiles and peck Y/N's lips. "Good."
