Yuzu, Sarah, Ryu, Bruno, and Victoria made their way down the quiet path toward the Osiris Red Dorm, the air thick with tension and nostalgia. The once-vibrant academy grounds now carried a weight of memories—echoes of laughter and duels long past.
Ryu glanced at his mother with curious eyes. "So, Mom, is it true that you're actually the head of the Obelisk Female Dorm?"
Sarah nodded softly, her voice calm but reflective. "When I came to Academia seven years ago, the former Chancellor Samejima entrusted me with that position. Most of the female students reside there—though some, like Serena, preferred staying in Osiris Red or Ra Yellow. Because of the number of students, the Obelisk Dorm has two supervisors instead of one like the others."
Yuzu tilted her head. "But what about this dorm? Who's the Osiris Red supervisor?"
Sarah's expression darkened, her steps slowing as unease rippled through her. "If none of the teachers have left except me... then it might be her."
They turned the corner—and there she was. A tall woman with long black hair stood before the dorm entrance, her Osiris Red uniform fluttering lightly in the breeze. Her sharp gaze locked onto Sarah the moment they appeared.
"Sarah... I see you have returned." Her voice was steady, cold, and familiar.
Sarah's lips pressed into a firm line. "Midori Hibiki. It sure has been a while."
Midori crossed her arms, her expression unyielding. "Yes. Our last meeting was three years ago—when you ran away from Academia." Her eyes narrowed. "As per the Professor's orders, why don't you hand over your daughter, Hiiragi Yuzu?"
"I'll never hand Yuzu over to that former husband of mine," Sarah snapped, her voice trembling with both fury and pain. "Tell me, Midori—why are you still following the Professor's orders?"
Midori's tone hardened, anger laced with grief. "You dare to ask that? We teachers are forbidden to leave Academia. I tried to escape once... but in the end, my brother was carded."
Everyone gasped. The word carried the weight of horror—of souls sealed away as punishment.
Midori clenched her fist, her Duel Disk activating with a sharp click. "For my brother... and for the students of Osiris Red, I will fight you, even if you were once my friend, Sarah!"
Sarah's eyes glimmered with sorrow and resolve as she raised her Duel Disk in turn. "Then I'll bring you out of that darkness, Midori!"
Both Duel Disks ignited with light, the sound of energy swirling through the air. "Duel!" (Sarah:4000)(Midori:4000)
Midori raised her Duel Disk, her tone sharp and commanding. "I'll take the first turn! I Summon Fallen Angel Ukoback! (ATK:700/DEF:1000/Level 3)!"
A pillar of dark violet light erupted from the field, and a winged demon with smoldering eyes emerged, its body cloaked in tattered black robes. The air rippled with the faint sound of distant chants, a holy hymn twisted into despair.
"When Ukoback is summoned," Midori continued, her eyes glinting beneath the shadow of her bangs, "I can send one Fallen Angel card from my deck to the Graveyard."
She slid a card from her deck, sending it to the Graveyard slot without hesitation. The Duel Disk gave a cold hum as the dark energy intensified.
"I activate the Magic Card—Ordination Platform of the Fallen Angels!" A large obsidian altar appeared behind her, glowing faintly with cursed light. "With this, I can Special Summon one Fallen Angel from my Graveyard in Defense Position! Arise—Nurse Reficule the Fallen One! (ATK:1400/DEF:600/Level 4)!"
