[ A/N: there's gonna be a new character introduced in this chapter and although they're not coming into this story just yet, i still put the casting thing so you'll have a better idea of them ]

ALTHOUGH ATLAS HAD double-checked that no one was in the corridor when he left, triple-checked one might say, he was still careful while wandering about the compound.

He was walking around with no shirt on and just his suit pants, and although that would just usually seem normal, given the circumstances and timings... some people's minds may wander.

He was in the Avengers compound after all. Most of them may be entitled and stuck-up, but they weren't exactly stupid.

Except from Thor. Atlas thought he was pretty stupid.

Anyway, Atlas continued to walk through the compound and now that he was away from where the party was currently going on, it was a lot quieter. So now, he could let his mind drift to what pop tarts he was going to get in peace without the crappy music and muffled conversation distracting him.

Which lasted all of about ten seconds.

The sound of something smashing to the side of him grabbed Atlas' attention. He turned his head and looked down one of the corridors, noticing a man stood next to one of the tables with a smashed vase below his feet.

Atlas let out a huff and rolled his eyes. The person clearly heard him and turned around to face him, his gaze moving between him and the broken vase.

Atlas didn't recognize the man so he just figured it was some drunk guy that had strayed away from the party. A little too far away, but still.

"Party's that way, buddy." Atlas pointed down the hall.

"Apologies." The man said, looking back up at him. "I hope that wasn't expensive."

"It's not mine, so." Atlas shrugged. "I don't particularly care."

The man chuckled. "I assume Stark can replace it anyway."

"Right." Atlas was quick with a blunt reply. It's not like he was purposely being rude, it's just that he had no interest in continuing this conversation. "You shouldn't be up here y'know."

"Yes, well," The man started, beginning to walk over to him. "I've never been fond of the Avengers, or their events, so I figured I'd just get away from all that for a little while. Everyone down there is boring."

"If you're not particularly fond then I wouldn't have recommended coming here." Atlas suggested.

"You make a good point." He agreed. "However, I'm here on business."
