Depression.
There are the few upon hearing you have it, offer you advice based on their experience. However, their experience with depression, more than likely, is based on circumstances. So the steps they took in aiding themselves is different than it would be for someone, like me, who has manic depression or someone with clinical depression.
Which means, there's no reason for my sadness. There's no reason for my lack of energy, emotion, smiles, motivation, future building, goal achieving, cleanliness, and so forth. It's there and I have to live accordingly.
The best way you can help me is understanding that. And the best way I can explain it is using clouds.
Sometimes there are clouds.
Sometimes there aren't any clouds.
Sometimes there are a little bit of clouds.
Sometimes there are a lot of clouds.
Sometimes the clouds are bright.
Sometimes the clouds are dark.
Sometimes the clouds rain a little.
Sometimes the clouds rain a lot.
Sometime the clouds are cold and bring snow.
Sometimes the clouds form a storm.
Sometimes the cloud form shade. We don't need a reason for the clouds to appear. We don't ask why it rains. They're just there. We just adjust to how the weather is and continue our day. Ill minds are as migrant as the weather. So for today, today is a cloudy day. Maybe tomorrow we will have clear skies.
