Hey guys!

I'm posting a day early because of the maintenance tomorrow.

So this chapter is written a bit differently than the other chapters I've written this far; this one, the story is told via gossip columnist.

Next week we will be back to our regularly scheduled program, lol 😆

Make sure to check out the visual I posted at the end of the chapter!

As always, leave me some comments! You're fueling my writer's flame!

Happy Reading!

Nestled at the end of north Huckleberry Street sat house number 1922, a beautiful two-story, three thousand four hundred and sixty-seven square foot, four bedroom, three and a half bath house. Thick white wooden siding with grey bricks of all different shades along the base, a dark grey metal roof, a large front porch, a dark stained porch, rails, and stairs with a white base. The polished large wooden front door matched the trim of the large windows scattered around the house, letting in the beautiful natural light.

Flower beds lined the house that would be booming with beautiful blooming flowers and lush green bushes that made the brick base of the house pop as the winter snow melted and spring came to town.
A two-car garage is connected to the house; above, the garage has ample storage space.

The entire house was a combination of Aubrey and Steve. Aubrey loved the farmhouse look, the open floor plan, the simplicity of it, the rustic charm, wide porches, natural light, and natural color pallet that just made you feel both cozy and stylish. Steve was an artist at his core, he loved the bones of the structure to be exposed, from the rafter to beams, reclaimed wood pieces, iron, and brick, and he loved the open floor plan. The house checked all the boxes for an industrial farmhouse couple.

Walking up the wooden front steps onto the porch, there is plenty of room for a swing, a few rocking chairs, and a little end table.

Going through the front door, you're met with beautiful partially exposed walls painted with a lovely shade of light green, almost a white green. Thick wood framed each doorway throughout the house, and a light grey laminate flooring is throughout the entire place. To the left of the entryway is the study, where beautiful wooden shelves held up with dark metal pipes covered one wall and a big window let in the light. This room would be perfect for an in-home studio with all the natural light that poured inside through the morning and most of the afternoon.

To the right of the entryway was a large dining room with another big window looking out into the yard, a beautiful industrial-style chandelier hung from the ceiling. Walking through the dining room, you were in the massive kitchen; a light soft shade of blue paint covered the walls with butch block countertops, matte black cabinets, and a large gas double oven with a griddle attachment. The backsplash was exposed brick behind the stove and across the wall, open wooden shelving lined the wall to the right of the stove; on the left was the perfect spot to hang pots and pans along with other various cooking utensils. Along the other wall was a big black french door refrigerator with a small freezer underneath and a built-in ice dispenser. There was plenty of room in the garage for a chest freezer. In front of a large window was the massive farmhouse sink, giving the perfect view of the backyard. In the middle of the kitchen sat a beautiful butch block island.  A little breakfast nook was next to the left of the kitchen, perfect for a small round kitchen table—a massive walk-in pantry with the same dark metal pipe wooden shelving on three of the walls. The kitchen was any chef's dream! A big sliding glass door added access to the back porch and backyard.
