"What is your brother doing down there?" Julian groaned as the muffled Single Ladies music sounded from the other side of Kurt's bedroom door.
"Brittany and Tina are helping him with a video project for his own amusement," said Adalynn as she painted her nails at the kitchen table with Bailey.
"Why isn't Little Pierce helping out?" the older boy asked as he came over and took a handful of popcorn from the bowl in the middle of the table.
"My sister is the more outgoing one," said Bailey as she brushed some sparkly pink nail polish on her fingernail. "I like staying home with my cat."
"Yet here you are."
"Britt forced me to come with her."
"That kid is giving me a headache," Burt muttered as he went downstairs to Kurt's room.
"And so it begins," mumbled Adalynn as she applied a layer of top coat to her purple nails.
Julian smirked and reached for a bottle of dark blue nail polish. The younger girls exchanged a look as he coated his nail in the color. Adalynn looked back to her cousin and raised a brow.
"What?" asked Julian. "I'm in touch with my feminine side. You have a problem with that?"
"Have you met my brother?" Adalynn snorted. "If I had a problem with it we wouldn't be as close as we are."
"Are you gay too?"
"Uh-"
"Adalynn," said Burt as he came back upstairs.
"Yeah?" The brunette turned to face her dad.
"Why didn't you tell me your brother was on the football team?" asked the older man. "And why didn't you tell me he was dating your goth friend?"
"Surprise?" Adalynn shrugged. "Kurt didn't tell me anything."
She stood up, blowing on her semi-wet nails as she went downstairs to her brother's room, making sure the door clicked shut before speaking.
"Kurt, are you insane?! You told Dad you were on the football team?!"
"Could you maybe not yell that?" asked Kurt, pacing the length of his bedroom and chewing his nail. "I'm already stressing about this. He wants a ticket to the first game this Friday!"
Adalynn looked over to Tina, who shrugged and nodded to Brittany. "Her fault," the goth mouthed.
"Then we're gonna have to find a way to get you on the team," said Julian with a smirk as he came into the room. "I have a plan that's 100% brilliant. Trust me."

With Finn working with Kurt and Julian to get them on the football team, Adalynn was left by herself. As she wandered around the halls after school, she noticed a sign-up sheet for Cabaret on the bulletin board.
"Of course Berry already signed up," the brunette mumbled as she looked over the sheet. She pulled out a pen and signed her name. Smirking, she took the gold star by Rachel's name and moved it next to her's instead. "Watch out, Barbra Streisand. You have some competition."
"What are you doing?"
"Nothing," said Adalynn, turning around and coming face-to-face with the devil herself.
"Bull crap," Santana scoffed, pushing the younger girl out of the way so she could look at the sheet. "You sneaky little wannabe rebel. You think you're tough? Moving the star next to your name? That's the best you could come up with? Really?"
