Peter opened the door for you, letting you walk into the principal's office before him.
You took a deep breath, you were finally there after a week of planning and tests and shopping. You really did hope it would go a bit more smoothly from now on.
"Hello, Mr. Parker, Ms. Williams," the principal greeted, standing up to shake both of your hands.
You gave him a polite smile while Peter looked just a bit reluctant to be there.
You knew it wasn't Peter's first time in the principal's office and it seemed that the principal knew it all too well, also.
"So, Y/n Williams, is that right?" the principal asked as you three sat down.
"Yes, sir," you nodded, keeping in mind to be respectful all the while getting used to your new last name.
"The tests you took to enter showed that you're pretty well off knowledge wise and were homeschooled up until now. Is that correct?"
"Yes."
"Very well, then," he nodded before handing you a paper. "Here's your schedule and I'm sure Mr. Parker will show you around since you're friends."
You and Peter both nodded and stood up to leave, taking the hint.
"Oh, and, Ms. Williams," the principal spoke up again, standing up behind his table, "welcome to Midtown High."
