"Can you help me... bring my memories back?" you asked slowly, still a bit unsure.
"I'll do whatever I can," your brother promised. "But it's mostly you."
You smiled at him softly. "Just you being here will be enough."

Your hands trembled with nerves as you closed your eyes. You tried relaxing to make the brainwaves appear but your brain was running havoc so it wasn't easy.
You shuddered, a sudden chill running down your back. You felt your skin slowly freezing, making you snap your eyes open.
"It's alright," Loki assured, coming to sit at the foot of the bed as he gestured to your hands that were turning blue. "Now that you know it's there, it wants to manifest itself."
You gulped. "Okay."
You closed your eyes again but a thought crossed your mind, disturbing you once again. "You won't leave, right?" you asked Loki, staring at him.
"I won't," he said genuinely. "I'll be right here."
You nodded before once again closing your eyes.
It took a few minutes to calm your breathing but when you opened your eyes again, there were two people's brainwaves around you - yours and Loki's.
Loki gave you an encouraging nod as you reached for a brainwave, one coming from you, and formed it into a line.
"Should I start from the start of my life or the latest memories?" you asked Loki.
"It would make more sense if you began from the start but as far as I know, it will get harder to bring your memories back the further you go so I suppose you should start from recent," he advised.
You nodded before going to where you saw 0%
You slowly dragged it 70%, grimacing as the memories from HYDRA hit you. How did you not realize how awful they were before?
As you went back in time, a smile slowly made its way onto your face. All the laughs you had shared with Peter and kids at different orphanages really warmed your heart.
Then you reached age 5. It was a complete zero and seemed to pulse even though you had stopped it who-knows-how-long ago.
You stared at it and raised your hand slowly.
Slight pain cut through your head when you touched the line.
It's all right, you reminded yourself in your head, your eyes darting to Loki who was observing you silently. You'll be fine.
Anticipation built in your chest as you placed your hand on the line.
This was it.
