Chapter 14: That's... Kind of Embarrassing

At the Botanical Garden, Heartslabyul venue, many visitors walk inside and look around with excitement to see the decorations. Some are here to get a stamp for the stamp rally.

A little girl says to her dad, "Look at all the cool decorations, dad!"

"Pretty, neat, huh?" The father says.

Then notice, "Ooh, look over there. I see a friendly ghost."

The daughter looks to see Deuce and Cater, dressed in their costumes.

Cater happily says, "Boo! I'm a creepy scary skeleton, and I'm here to party!"

"Boo!" Deuce says, but a little nervous, "Um... are you scared?"

The girl simply laughs, "Aha ha! Nooope. Not even a little."

"That awkward delivery is just precious, Deucey," Cater says.

Deuce feels deflated, "Look, I don't know what to do around kids."

"You're overthinking it. Just chill and have some fun!" Cater happily says.

Then says to the visitors, "Happy Halloween, little lady! Did you and your dad come here to play?"

"Yup!" The little girl happily says.

Then the father says, "Every year, she gets all worked up about spending Halloween at Night Raven College."

Then asks, "Say, would you mind posing for a picture with my daughter?"

Absolutely!" Deuce answers.

"Thank you!" This'll make the perfect memento," The father says.

Then the father says, "Okay, all together now...

Deuce and Cater then pose as the little girl gets between them.

"There, perfect," The father says.

Then counts, "One three. One, two, three!"

Then Deuce, Cater, and the little girl say, "Happy Halloween!"

And the father takes the picture.

Meanwhile, in the Mirror Chamber, Pomefiore venue, people enter the room. Epel is there to greet them.

The woman asks, ""Excuse me, is this where I get my card stamped?"

"Ah! Yes, ma'am. I'll take your card," Epel says.

Epel then takes the card and places a stamp on it. Then gives it back to the woman. The stamp is the Night Raven College crest.

"Here you are. One Mirror Chamber stamp..." Epel says, but quickly says, "Ah, wait!"

He calms himself, "Ahem."

Then tries to sound scary, You have tread into the vampire's domain. Now you shall serve me for all eternity!"

And hisse, "Hisss!"

Then the man and woman scream, "Oh, no! It's a vampire! Eeeek!"

Epel laughs, "Aha ha, that's... kind of embarrassing. Anyway, it's a big campus, so have a nice look around.

"Thank you. All this stamp collecting is delightful," The woman says.

"Agreed," The man says, "This is our first time coming to Night Raven College for Halloween... And my goodness, was it worth the trip! I wasn't expecting it to be so fancy."

"This Mirror Chamber is just gorgeous as well. It's going to stick with me for a long time to come," The woman says.

Epel giggles, "Heh heh, ain't that the - uh,, I mean, thank you!"

Then says, "I hope you'll collect all seven stamps and enjoy your time touring the school. Happy Halloween!"

At a different part of the chamber, Vil watches how Epel is doing.

Vil calmly says, "Looks like Epel giving visitors a proper reception. That's our dorm covered nicely... A management committee chair's work is never done. Where shall I check up on next? Hm?"

Then Vil notices sometime at the entrance, "That boy's been standing at the Mirror Chamber entrance for some time now."

Vil walks up to the young boy. From the expression on his face, the boy looks like he's been crying.

Vil then asks, "Hello there. Are you all alone, young man?"

The boy sadly says, "M-my brother was with me, but I can't find him."

"Ah, so you're lost," Vil says. Don't worry. I know just how to reunite you."

The boy sniffles, "You do...?"

"What's this? Are you questioning the word of a great and noble vampire?" Vil questions.

Then says, "I should warn you that I LOVE eating rude children for breakfast." and then hisses, "Hisss!"

The boy laughs, "Aha ha! You're still smiling! That's not scary at all."

Then Vil says, "There, that's better. I can hardly let someone leave our campus with a frown on their faces.

Then says, "Come, now. Let's go to the headmage's office. I'll page your family on the intercom. I'll tell you stories about our school until they get there... as long as you promise not to tell anyone else.

"Okay! Thanks, mister!" The boy says with a smile.
