Chapter 11: Conflict Would Be Unavoidable

Back at Main Street, Ida is rather frustrated by the Magicam Monsters as he heads to the library for his dorm's stamp rally station.

With frustration, Idia says, "Ugh... Those visitors' attitudes were awful. Magicam Monsters, the lot of 'em. The worst kind of vapid normies - the kind that assumes if they're having fun, everybody else must be too. I REALLY hope we don't cross paths. If we do, I just know conflict would be unavoidable. I'd better make a plan for if any Magicam Monsters show up at our dorm's station. The play's probably tole Ortho deal with 'em. He's way better at talking to people than me."

Soon enough, Idia arrives in the library entrance and walks inside to the library to see if there's any trouble. And similar to what's going on in the other dorms, the Ignihyde stamp station is about to spiral out of control.

Ortho suddenly says, "Commencing technomatic energy charge."

And begins to charge up his magic, but the students try to restrain him.

One of them cries out, "Ortho, don't do it! That's kind of overkill!"

They try to restrain him, but Ortho is preparing as his cannon continues to collect the energy required.

The other student cries, "Argh, we can't stop him! His technomantic cannon's building energy fast!"

"And we're gonna be right in its blast radius," A third student panics.

Still charging his cannon, Ortho says, "Once the charging is complete, I will fire a beam at max output. Target Halloween Week participants will be eradicated."

Witnessing the event, Idia is beyond shocked, "What did I just walk in on?! Who's being eradicated, now? And did I hear you say 'beam'?!"

Soon, the other students see Idia and rush over.

The first student panics, "Housewarden! I'm so glad you're here."

"Ortho's about to fire off a technomantic beam. He's not responding to any of us!" The second student explains.

Then the third student cries out to the visitors, "You there - visitors! Please, you HAVE to get out of here. You're in danger!"

However, none of them are listening to them at all.

A woman says, "Aww, how cute! That little boy's wearing a robot costume!"

"You're right! Is he dressed as one of the mascots you see out in front of, like, cell phone stores?" A man asks.

Then a man says, "That's some one-of-a-kind get up right there. Can I take a picture?"

Idia is very stunned, "Ortho's aiming a weapon at them and they don't even care about running! Is crisis management their dump stat?!"

Suddenly Ortho says, "Charging. 30% complete... 40$ complete..."

Idia rushes to Ortho, "I-I gotta put in the cancel command..." Idia then tries turn off the attack, "Argh! However, he's wearing his armor, so it's hard for him to type, "I can't type in this blasted armor!"

One of the students asks, "Why didn't you implement voice recognition?! Requesting a hotfix!"

Then Iida says, "I'll do it in the next update! But for now, let's just get the guests out before he can fire!"
