Chapter 6: No Further Carelessness

Crewel uses his magic to eject the Magicam Monsters before anyone can get hurt by Floyd's mood. Soon, the guests are ejected from the Alchemy Workshop's chemical storage, and everything seems to be in order.

"That takes care of our guests," Crewel says.

Then turns to Floyd with a stern expression, "And now that they're gone, I want an explanation for your misbehavior, Leech."

"Excuse me? I resent that. I ain't done nothin' wrong," Floyd says, offended.

Then Azul says, "We kept warning them to stop taking pictures with their selfie sticks, and they just kept ignoring us. Swinging those around in a cramped room is just asking to hit something or worse, someONE. Very dangerous, wouldn't you agree? We were making our best effort to protect our valuable equipment and the visitors both."

"Then when Floyd gets upset, they jeered and started taking pictures of him to post online," Jade says. "When someone is trying to seriously warn you of something, when is flash photography ever an appropriate response?"

"You make some valid points, but -" Crewel says.

But one of the Octavinelle students speaks up, "Excuse me, um... Professor? I just want to say that Floyd was very courteous and restrained the whole time he was dealing with those rude visitors."

"For sure. Since this is Halloween, and we all worked hard to prepare for it, he was being extraordinarily patient. In fact, I've never seen Floyd act so mild-mannered before! I seriously wondered if he and Jade had switched clothes or something," Another Octavinelle student adds.

Then the first student says, "Seriously. And they STILL wouldn't listen to him."

"There, see?!" Floyd says, "They were the ones actin' up, not me. Even after they knocked over a chemical storage shelf with their stick, they just lagged about it and didn't bother apologizing."

"They did WHAT?!" Crewel exclaims in shock.

Crewel and the students rush over and see the knocked over shelf and many of the beakers of chemicals shatter and spill on the floor.

Crewel is completely shocked, "All those chemicals, ruined..."

Then angrily says, "You CURS!" and brings out his pointer, "Why didn't you eject those Magicam Monsters sooner?!"

"Oh, make up your mind, Professor Beakfish!" Floyd says, "You were just tellin' me not to do that.

Crewel sscolds Floyd, "Quiet! What you were doing was instigating a fight. I'm not saying to HARM the visitors. I'm saying to be a guard dog. This is a storage place for valuable items. I will not tolerate no further carelessness here! Management committee memes must prevent all Magicam Monsters discourtesies AND fights with students! It's all against the rules.

"Yes, Professor. We will do as you ask," Azul says.

Then says underbreath, "Good grief. Now we have to keep an eye on both the Magicam monsters and our students."

Jade then whispers, "A challenge, to be sure, but I suspect we'll find it to be rather... rewarding."
