Chapter 19: Moths Drawn to Our Flame

At the Ramshackle Dorm, the last group of people have arrived.

One of the men says, "Here it is - Ramshackle Dorm, the original ghost spot."

A woman says, "It'd be a shame to come all the way out to Night Raven College and skip out on Ramshackle. Plus, isn't this where the Draconia Challenge got its start? Maybe we'll have a shot at doing it."

Then the man says, "Oh, man, that would rule. You think we'll get a Malleus Draconia encounter in the wild?"

Meanwhile, the Diasomnia dorm students, including Lilia watch the people have their fun.

"'In the wild,' they say. They're talking about him like he's some kind of rare forest creature," Lilia says.

Sebek is clearly not happy, "The sheer insolence... I shall put them in their place!"

But Silver stops him, "Wait, Sebek. We don't know for certain that they'll break the rules. We need to give them. We need to give them a fair chance. And just in case I need to remind you. Malleus instructed us to follow the plan."

"That's right. Malleus is just itching to give any interlopers a good scare. If you jump the gun, you might sour his mood." Lilia says.

"Ah. My apologies!" Sebek says.

Then Lilia says, "Now to see if these are good guests, or Magicam Monsters doomed to suffer Malleus' vengeance..."

Meanwhile, the visitors look at the dorm and the decorations.

"I don't see any ghosts around. Lame. You think they're inside?" The man says.

The woman says, "We could go in and check."

She then notices the sign, "The sign here says, 'Private Residence - Do Not Enter.' though."

"Yeah, right. Nobody lives in this run-down dump," The man says.

Then says, "Wait... Does that mean ghosts are haunting it?!"

The woman grows excited, "Ooh, a haunted house! I've just gotta meet those ghosts and get some nice pictures in. It should be fine as long as we don't make too much noise, right? Let's sneak inside."

And with that, the ones identified as Magicam Monsters sneak inside the Ramshackle Dorm.

Witnessing it, Lilia says, "And there they go. Right into Ramshackle Dorm. That makes them Magicam Monsters. Hoo Hoo!"

"Father, you seem oddly delighted at having your own rules broken," Silver says with his arms crossed.

"You're just imagining things, I'm certainly not giddy at the prospect of getting to scare people to my heart's content," Lilai says.

He then smirks, "Is everyone ready to greet these moths dawn to our flame? Let's give our honored guests the full Diasomnia Halloween experience."

All the students of Diasomnia answer, "Yes, sir!
