"Lilah!" I looked up from my phone to locate where that voice came from.

"Umph!" Someone had jumped onto my back and wrapped their arms around my neck. "Good to see you again, Kee!"

She let go of me and came around to give me a big hug. "I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too!" I took her in my arms and squeezed tight.

Kyan had just come back from her trip to Paris and we decided that we needed to hang out right away. I offered to pick her up from the airport, but Tony had already arranged a driver for both of them. I let go of her and looked her up and down, giving her a naughty smile. A couple doesn't go off to the city or romance and come back without any dirty secrets.

It had been about a week since I last saw my brother, and as much as I'd like to lie and say that Dylan made me forget about Nelson leaving, I couldn't. As much as Dylan tried to cheer me up and take me out, my mind refused to think of anything else. Not that I didn't appreciate what he was trying to do, I did. My stomach would flutter along with the butterflies inside whenever he'd put an arm around me or when our hands would brush against each other while we walked. Every single time he flashed me that adorable smile of his, I felt my cheeks turning into tomatoes.

"Paris was a blast!" Kyan grabbed my hand and began walking into the mall. "It would've been more fun if you came with us." She pouted.

"Sorry, Kee. I was busy living in the real world."

I heard her grunt. "I've been there." She looked up at me. "That place sucks."

I tried to bottle up my giggles but they didn't work. "I know what you mean."

"So, how's being an only child?" She let go of my hand, still walking beside me.

"I'm not an only child, Kyan." I rolled my eyes. "You should know that, seeing as you have a huge crush on my brother."

I felt her tiny hand try to push me away, but it didn't work. "You know what I mean, dumbo." I only shook my head in response. "Not going so well without Nelson around?"

I nodded. "Can we— Can we not talk about this?" I laid both my hands in front of me.

"Definitely. Sorry."

We walked down a long hallway, giving the tension some time to melt away. "Don't keep the details from me! How was your trip?" I finally broke the ice.

"Tony and I stayed in this gorgeous apartment. The ceiling was as tall as the sky, the rooms were as bright as the sun. The moment I stepped foot into that apartment, my breath was taken away from me. It was beautiful. You woulda' liked it."

My eyebrows stood high. "Rooms as bright as the sun? No thank you. I have enough trouble with just the sun itself."

"You don't have trouble with the sun, Ly. You have trouble closing the curtains before you go to bed." She teased. "You have no idea how splendid it was! As soon as you walk in you see this blinding white furniture in the living room, surrounding a huge flat screen hanging off the brick walls. The kitchen had state of the art equipment. Although we didn't cook during the entire time we stayed there, it made me want to learn how to. The bathrooms were so fancy! It had those clear glass showers with speakers inside the shower head. The sink was crystal clear." She gripped my arm. "Crystal. Clear."

"I'm listening, keep going." I urged.

"The bedroom was the most amazing part. The bed was huge. I could fit a hundred people on that bed. It was so soft, when you went to lay down it felt like the cotton was swallowing you up. The place was just absolutely perfect."
