I woke up that morning facing my ceiling, a great feeling surging through me from the turn of events last night. I took a deep breath as I stretched my arms above my head, still laying in bed. The thick smile that grew on my lips, was still as strong as it was hours ago, and it'll be just as strong for the next few days. That's what I thought. Until I felt movement under the blanket beside me.

I turned my head to see a mysterious lump covered up. It moved once more and I flinched, making my hands into fists. The moment I saw it, the blood stopped flowing through my body and my lungs refused to do their job. Pins and needles poked at me as my eyes widened in horror. I gripped the end of the blanket which lay above a hidden figure. Panic began to boil inside me as I wondered who or what the hell was under my blanket and in the same bed as me. This was usually what you hear on a news broadcast when the victim speaks up against their attacker. I made a ball of my other hand, ready to hit whatever lay beneath the cloth.

"Aahhh!" I screamed as I pulled back the cloth.

There was a person there, but I couldn't see its face. "Why are you screaming?"

"Kee?" I picked up the head by its red hair and saw Kyan's face buried into the pillow. "Oh my god." I let out a relieved breath as I sat up and leaned against the headboard. "You scared the life out of me!" I smacked her on the back of the head, sending a yelp of pain out her mouth.

"Good morning to you too." She rubbed the spot I struck as she turned on her side to face me.

"How'd you get in?" I ran a hand through my hair, as I watched her.

She rubbed her eyes before answering me. "Your dad let me in."

"What time did you get here?" I looked at my door to see that it was still closed.

"Around three in the morning?" I grabbed my phone off the floor beside my bed and checked to see it was nine am.

I dropped my phone back on the carpet. "What?" I asked in shock.

"My parents fought again and I didn't wanna stay there." She yawned mid sentence.

"Did Carl bring you here?" She shook her head. "You walked?" My tone was more surprised than angry upon hearing this.

"I just didn't wanna be there when they started throwing things and hitting each other." I stared at her in disbelief as she smiled back at me. "I'm kidding." I blinked once trying to understand why she was giggling. "My parents are out of town and I didn't wanna be alone."

I grabbed my pillow and brought it down on her head, hitting with it repeatedly. "That's not funny, you idiot!" I screamed through gritted teeth.

"Ow! Ow! That hurts!" She yelled as she tried to block my hits.

"Good!" I threw the pillow on her one last time then let go of it. "It should!" she laughed at me a couple more times, then placed the pillow underneath her head. "What'd you do last night?"

"Went to watch a movie with Tony then we got late dinner." Her eyes brightened at the mention of his name.

"Ew." I grimaced.

"What?" She threw the pillow at me, hitting me square in the face. "I didn't say we kissed or anything! It was just a date!"

"Yeah, but you look so in love." I pretended to shiver. "It's disgusting."

"Whatever, I'm not in love." I raised both my eyebrows at her and gave a naughty smile. "I hate that face!"

I rolled my eyes at her, still smiling like a little kid. "If you don't like him, then how come you seem happy whenever he's around, or when you mention his name, or when you see his pictures on billboards?"
