It had been a month of the same schedule everyday. Wake up, go to school, try not to die from the mundane lessons, get home, do a hundred assignments that require staying up late, go to sleep for five hours at most, repeat until your body stops functioning. Needless to say, I was exhausted. One more night of this and I would gladly collapse on the floor just to get some rest. I had been so sleep deprived the last few weeks that it had become a habit to fall asleep the minute I sit down. The bags under my eyes were exceedingly more than evident, I hadn't eaten a nutritious meal all day, and I could hear my brain cells killing themselves every minute.
I sat at my desk hunched over the papers beneath my palms, trying to finish my Advance Math work, while at the same time typing a report for English Literature. Between spending my weekdays cramming in as much homework as possible, and spending my weekends either catching up on sleep or doing the rest of my research paper, there wasn't much time to be spent with friends. No matter how ridiculously good looking or how close to my heart they were. I was speaking in general, but I already knew I had only one person on my mind. Sorry Kyan, but since I see you in school all the time, you were off the list.
His alluring smile played in my head, the nerves in my body dying down a bit. My body warmed up to the thought of him being with me instead of sitting alone at a desk while he was half an second away. I felt the tension in my muscles come to an ease at the familiar warmth of his body as I curled into him. The sound of his deep voice when he whispered into my ear, sent chills down my spine, knowing that only he had this effect on me. My heart beat quickened as the heat rose from the knot in my stomach. If this light headed feeling continued any longer, I would pass out, which wouldn't be all too bad considering I'd get some sleep.
"Lilah." Dylan's inviting tone brought my eyes to his as he climbed through my window.
"Dylan?" I looked at the clock below my almost finished report. "It's three in the morning."
I rubbed my eyes as he came closer. "I know."
His hands held mine, guiding them to the back of his neck. "What are you doing?" I instinctively let out a nervous giggle.
Dylan had a strange gleam in his eye, he didn't seem like the cheery, good-natured guy that he had always been. My eyes locked onto his, trying to figure out what was running through his head, but he was too difficult to read. It became harder to swallow as I felt his eyes on me, watching every single move I made as he took a step backwards. I kept my arms around his neck as he let go, my feet following his. A pair of strong hands snaked around my waist, taking their time as they reached my lower back. His fingers pressed into me as he pulled me closer, holding my body against him.
"Tell me if you want to stop." I choked on the air as I felt his grip increase.
There was no space left between our bodies as he strode to my bed, keeping the distance between us at a minimum. His legs hit the side of my mattress, advising him to stop or he'd fall over with me on top of him. In the moment, I felt as if that was what he wanted. Our eyes held strong as I felt my cheeks turn bright red. Nobody had ever held me like this, much less climbed into my room this early on a Wednesday morning. I took a deep breath, inhaling as my chest rose only to rub against his from the lack of room.
My mind began to wander as his hands dropped to my thighs, making me jump as he pulled me up. I had no control over my body, my legs wrapped around his waist without me knowing it. By the time I realized the position we were in, he had turned around and bent forward so my back was on the bed. His breath fell on my lips as he lingered above me. I watched his eyes drop to my lips, one hand running up and down my waist as the other found its way to the back of my neck. My heart was beating in my ears as his body moved against mine. He looked up at me once more, his lips parting to call my name.
