❛ livin' in a daydream
give me all of your love, give me something to dream about ❜"wake up sleapy heads!" jeremiah's voice echoed through the house, and following his words was a loud banging of pots. groaning was heard from upstairs, if sadie had to take a guess it was around five a.m. the banging against the pots continued and it was safe to assume that the noise was jeremiah's doing. "are you fucking crazy?" piper's question must've been rhetorical because the noise didn't come to a stop.
a minute or so passed, and the banging stopped, but it was followed by jeremiah's scream. this time, it was safe to assume that piper had hit him which made him cry out so loudly. sadie could hear the thumping of people coming down the stairs from her room so she decided to join the rest.
making her way down she was welcomed by the smell of pancakes, "what's going on here?" she was the last to join the little get-together in the kitchen because everyone else was already there. "great!" the younger fisher boy exclaimed, "now that you're here, we can start."
sadie found an empty seat at the table, one between steven and conrad. shotting a confused look at the conklin girl, she just shrugged. "i, jeremiah fisher, invite you, isabel conklin, steven conklin, piper crawford, sadie crawford and conrad fisher to the eight annual fisher summer olympics." the boy declared as he stood at the head of the table.
piper and steven groaned in unison, they hated the fisher summer olympics. "hell no," piper protested. jeremiah smiled broadly, he was waiting for someone to challenge him. he cleared his throat, "it's funny you say that, because here," he pulled out an old-looking piece of paper, "in the fisher summer olympics contract you, piper crawford, signed that you agree to never ever ever dicline the fisher summer olympics invitation."
"i signed that when i was like, eight!"
"mom?" jeremiah called. susannah came to the table, carrying a plate with a stack of pancakes on it, "a contract is a contract, honey."
"yeah, i'm not doing that," steven agreed with piper. when nobody seemed as enthusiastic as him to do the games, jeremiah sat down on his chair, "ow come on, guys. we haven't done this in years, it's gonna be fun, please." he sent a pleading look to everybody, but that look hadn't worked on them in years. he knew his best bet if sadie.
sending her a look, a pleading look, they both knew she wouldn't be able to resist, she caved in almost immediately. "come on you guys, it will be fun!" she stood up from her seat, jere eagerly copying her movements.
her sister stared at her in disbelief. "just because you two are swapping salive now, desn't mean you have to agree to everything he says." her words were deadpan and she continued eating her breakfast nonchalantly. everybody else stopped what they were doing, this was news to them.
