( will you love me tomorrow ── the shirelles )
❛ tonight, you're mine completely
you give your love so sweetly ❜the sun was brightly shining in the sky, it was a beautiful day. the charity volleyball game was already halfway through with a lot of the teams on the losing side, including the younger crawford girl.
if you ask sadie to describe herself in a couple of words, the term 'sporty' wouldn't be one of them. she was good at a lot of things, but any kind of sport was her kryptonite.
it was no surprise she and jeremiah came in third to last, but it was all in good fun.
the sun beamed even brighter as they watched taylor and belly, and then conrad and belly beat every single pair that came into the court. the conklin girl was truly unstoppable when it came to volleyball.
"i'm gonna go grab us something to drink," jeremiah announced, pecking her cheek as he walked away. after their date the night before things have gotten better, more stable.
they weren't officially a couple but things were looking up. they were both happier than ever.
a lot of lingering touches, lingering glances, stolen kisses. it was supposed to be a secret, but everybody knew. their mouth might not have told the world, but their eyes sure did.
sadie often wondered what was the exact moment that things changed between her and jeremiah. what was the catalyst? what moment, what action or what word started it all?
sometimes, late at night she'd replay all of the memories in her head, relive some of the happiest days of her life. though, she may never know how and when she started falling for jeremiah fisher, she was glad she did.
"hey," her thoughts were interrupted by a mop of blonde hair. It was dylan. she turned to him, her eyebrows narrowing. anger bubbled inside of her, a type of anger she never felt before. this was the guy that tried to ruin the best thing that happened to her.
she wanted to speak, wanted to yell, she didn't care if she made a scene. he was faster though, "i'm sorry."
two simple words and the look on his face were enough to melt her anger away. he was sorry. he was truly sorry. guilt and regret clouded his eyes.
sighing, she spoke, "it's okay."
he just nodded his head nonchalantly, pretending not to be surprised by her reaction. he wanted her to scream at him, tell him what an asshole he was, and wish him all the misfortune in the world. but sadie wasn't that type of person, even when she wanted to be.
"i saw you and jeremiah last night."
"okay so, your surprise is taking me to my dad's older than life sailboat," sadie noted as she looked at the old boat her family used to take out sailing.
helping her get on, jeremiah defended, "it's a sailing yacht, sadie. key word: yacht." she chuckled at his defence, deciding to go along with it.
sadie made herself comfortable on the couch as jeremiah put down the basket he prepared for the night. the sun was slowly setting, and once again the sky was pink and purple, there was truly no sight more beautiful.
out of the basket, the fisher boy pulled out various foods and drinks, no doubt stolen from the country club at the end of his shift.
"i'm assuming you prepared this meal," she joked. he placed two sandwiches, fries, mushrooms and what looked like a bottle of soda on the table next to them.
"are you doubting my cooking skills?" he faked offence. she got up, now standing next to him. putting one hand on his heart and the other around his neck, she spoke, "no, i would never." she kissed him.
he was surprised at first but collected himself fast. his hands made their way to her hips. no matter how many times they kissed, it always felt like the first time.
food was long forgotten the more they kissed. sun was barely visible on the horizon, replaced by the shining moon and the stars.
he gently put her down on the couch. "are you sure?"
"is everything okay here?" jeremiah was making his way back with the drinks in hand. dylan turned around, watching the fisher boy approach.
sadie smiled, "yeah, dylan was just wishing me luck at the deb ball. thanks dyl, i really appreciate it."
ㅤㅤㅤㅤ⎯⎯ㅤㅤNESSA'S NOTES!
just to clarify two things:
a. basically if someone didn't get it, they lose their virginity on that boat
b. dylan saying "i saw you and jeremiah last night" doesn't mean he saw them do it. it means he just saw them like walking back home or something along those lines
hope that makes sense
happy reading! see you in the next update mwah![ also ]
