Chapter 53

Isaac's POV: 

"I Changed my mind. I can't tell him. I can't." Belle said right as we were about to enter the house again. 

"What changed bug?" 

"I can't please don't make me." 

"Hey I'm never gonna make you do something you don't want to. It's ok."

"I'm sorry." 

"You have nothing to apologize for." 

Enzo's POV: 

Belle has been avoiding me all day. 

She's not great at hiding it.

I went to her room and knocked. 

"Come in." 

"Hey, what's up?" 

"Oh hi." 

"You're avoiding me." I said leaning on the doorframe. 

"I'm sorry." 

"Not a sorry thing. I'm just curious as to why. Did I do something?" 

"No." 

"What's up then?" 

"I...I don't know..."

"Are you sure about that?" 

"No.." 

I went and sat on her bed with her. 

"Kiddo, what's wrong?" 

"Isaac thinks it's a good idea I tell you something, but I'm scared. And I try to avoid scary things and that's why I was avoiding you and I'm really sorry I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Are you mad at me? I'm really sorry. I'm really sorry." She said super fast. 

"Belle it's ok. Don't worry. I'm not mad and you're going to be ok. Can you tell me what Isaac thought was a good idea to say?" 

She shook her head. 

"Belle no matter what I will not be mad. Ok? I pinky promise. You can't break a pinky promise." I said and held out my pinky. 

She stared at it. 

"Then you lock your pinky and it's sealed. I won't be mad." 

"Ok." 

"So what's up?" 

"It's kind of long is that ok?" 

"I've got nowhere to be, but here." 

"When I was younger my Mom and dad-or Mom and Mark sorry, they were really low on money" I don't like where this is headed. "and Mark said he could use me to make money. He had some scary friends." 

She was trembling and her breath was shaky. 

"I didn't know what was happening at the time, I knew that it hurt and I didn't want it to happen, but Isaac told me what it was called and-and they raped me..."

I took a deep breath. 

"Thank you for telling me. You are so incredibly strong." 

"Do you think I'm a slut now?" She looked at me with those big teary eyes. 

"What? No. Belle you are not a slut. Also not a negative to be one, but you my friend are not. Ok? I promise." 

"But they made me feel dirty." 

"And I wish I could take that feeling away and show you how amazing and beautiful and kind you truly are." 

"I'm so happy to be living here. I don't want to ever go back." 

"And you never will Belle. No one is ever going to make you leave. Think of Ian and Leo. they still live here and their adults. You never have to leave. You'll always have a space in this family."
