Saving Belle

Chapter 26

Enzo's POV: 

Millie has gotten old and has not been very active as of late. 

Belle got pretty attached to Millie and I know for a fact that if Millie dies Belle is gonna take it really hard. 

Another point is that Millie can't really be a guard dog like we were once thinking she could be for Belle. 

And Belle won't want a dog if Millie dies, but maybe she'd want one if she could have it before Millie dies and it could be her own. 

I bet a dog could even help Belle's mental health. Maybe even nightmares. 

Pretty much I'm just trying to convince myself to get another dog. 

I called Leo into my office to talk to him about this. 

"What do you think about getting Belle a new dog?" 

"Where did this come from?" He asked.

"Millie is getting old and can't really be a guard dog and Millie is pretty lazy and hasn't wanted to be around anyone for awhile. I want a dog that Belle could get really attached to. It could keep her safe and maybe even make her feel safe." 

"That's true. Do you know what breed you'd get?"

"I feel like Zion would be the better person to talk to about it." 

"Are you gonna have him over?" 

"Probably."

"Ughhh I wanted Bay to meet my friend next." 

"Hey Belle. How would you feel about getting your own dog?" I asked her. 

"..Why?.." 

"Because Millie is getting kind old and doesn't really do much. A new dog could be like a protector." 

"It would keep me safe?" She asked.

"Yes it would."

"Ok." 

"Xander has a friend who trains dogs. We could talk to him."

"Ok." 

"Great let's go find Xander." 

Xander's POV: 

"Hey Xander we're getting Belle a dog to keep her safer and we want to have Zion over to talk to him about it." Enzo just came walking up to me with Belle.

"Oh is that ok Belle?" 

She nodded. 

"Ok..I'll give him a call." I'm a little skeptical that Belle really wants this. 

She could just be saying what she thinks Enzo wants to hear, but she said it was ok. 

"Belle why don't you go pick out a movie for tonight." 

"Ok." 

Belle walked away and when she was out of sight Enzo turned to me. 

"Ok I take it Zion doesn't even know you have a sister?" He asked. 

"No. No one knows other than Liam and Mason." 

"Ok do you feel comfortable telling him?" 

"Yeah, but I'll probably have to tell Damon then too." 

"Ok that's ok."

Enzo has been less cold and shut off with Belle being back. 

Everyone has. 

And when she hugged him it's like the ice around his heart melted. 

Everyone got really jealous she gave him a hug. 

Leo and Luca were pouting all day. 

"Hey man where have you been?" Zion asked after he picked up at the second ring. 

"I've had a lot on my plate I'm sorry. Do you have a few minutes?" 

"Yeah for sure man. What's up?" 

"So I uh kinda have a sister, and s-" 

"Wait what? Bring it back buddy." 

"Ok so when I was little my Mom and dad had another kid. The only girl in the family. Then my Mom decided to up and leave, but she took my sister with her, and we couldn't track them down. When I went kinda MIA is when Belle came back to us." 

"Belle is your sister?" 

"Yes and the reason we didn't tell people about her is because it was kind of a family secret I mean we never talked about her, even at home. Everyone kind of broke when she left."

"Shit man. You're not messing with me right?" 

"Sadly no. Our Mother abused Belle and we just got her back into our lives. She's pretty traumatized." 

"Understandable." 

"Anyways the main reason I called is, Enzo wants a guard dog for Belle. To make her feel safer and to help with her mental health. "

"So like a companion that could kill someone?" He said.

"Exactly." 

"Ok cool, do you wanna hangout to talk about it?" 

"Yeah could you come over to talk with Enzo and meet Belle too?" 

"Yeah for sure I'd love to meet her." 

"Great thank you, and could you wait to tell Damon I'm gonna call him in a few days." 

"Yeah for sure man." 

A/N- Hey sorry for not updating in awhile, I'm kind of running out of ideas, but I'm working on it. Also sorry that there was a lot of dialog in this chapter if people don't like that. -Luna :)
