It was nighttime and I was sitting on the couch, just thinking when I hear my phone let out a small ping, a text message from Blake
Hothead - we need to talk, can u meet at the park in 20?
I look down at the text, wondering what she wanted to talk about. I look back at the stairs, thinking about my dorm mates before quickly and quietly leaving the dorm room, hoping to not get caught

Once at the park, I go to a small section where the benches are and I see three familiar faces, Blake, Jack and Kiyo. The remaining members of L.O.V.E.
I sigh " if you guys are trying to get me back into the vigilante business again, I'm just going to turn back."I announces annoyed, I was tired, I have been beaten, betrayed, and so much more, that all I want to do is enjoy the life I have and the people in it. Blake speaks up
" no, we need to come to an agreement." She announces as she stands up, the others following in suit " yeah, for now on, we leave the crime fighting events in the past, we do not go back. We have hurt more people than saved, our members have turned into villains or are dead, and who here is feeling guilty about keeping this a secret to our friends?" Kiyo stated, for a guy who is always cranky and emotionless, he sure can give a speech. Me, Jack, and Kiyo raise our hands to his question, Blake as usual keeping her emotions in.
" well I don't really have that problem, since I'm pretty good at keeping a secret" she mumbled, but we all know the other reason, Jack already knows and the two are what people like to call ' secret relationship'.
I begin to think of Artemis, keeping the fact that I use to sneak off at night and fight villains with a high chance of getting hurt a secret to my boyfriend really fills me with guilt. Kiyo seems to have the same issue, I could tell.
" so.. we are going to keep this a secret? No one's going to know, nor are we going to go back to being night heroes, we are done with that" Jack clarifies, we nod " ok then, well let's just enjoy life and try to go back to a somewhat normal life" I declare and soon we go our separate ways, heading back to our dorms for the night.
Once I'm back, laying in bed, all I can think about is the meeting, probably our last L.O.V.E meeting we will ever have.

I thought about what Kiyo said, my thoughts soon drifting to the other people in my life, especially Artemis. He has been through enough already, and when he found out that I got beat up that one time, he was worried sick! I couldn't let him go through that again
Maybe I should take him on another date, it would help clear my mind of the recent events, adjust myself to a normal life, and spend more time with Artemis, ever since we talked at the cafe, we haven't really had alone time
My thoughts drift to the memory of Artemis in his maid outfit, he looked just too incredible cute for me to bare. I silently laugh to myself as all these old memories come back, allowing myself to eventually fall asleep, dreaming about a peaceful future.
But boy was I kidding myself

A sort beginning chapter, but it's the best prolog opening chapter I can think of.
