Rikku's P.O.V
It's been a few days of training and preparation, but now we are all gathered at me and Arty's dorm room dining table, starting a plan.
" ok so we already came up with the strategies, but we need an exact date, and time to lower their guard and anything they have against us" declared Artemis, Jack nodded
" yes, those villains knew we were coming and knew just how to attack us. So now, it's time to return the favor." Anger and determination filled Jack's voice, if anyone wanted to kick those villains butts the most, it was him. But Yuuto was a bit more statistic.
" how about a date that would have the attention of the entire city, one where everyone is going to be busy, and no one is going to be bored enough to go snooping around like what we're going to do." He offered, a light bulb seemed to go off in my head as I remembered an old conversation me and Shizu had about school coming to an end and the summer starting
" ooh, there is a kick of to summer parade going through town in about a week. apparently the whole city is going to be there!" I exclaim, Patron gives me an appreciative smile and goes back to writing the notes.
" so what do we need to work on? What are our advantages and disadvantages ?" Questioned Laura, Patron nodded
" well heroes to supervillains it's 6 of us against four, but who knows how powerful they really are. Knowing us, we're going to hold back because I think we can all agree that hurting and killing people isn't our thing, but for those guys, it is. They would tear us to pieces with a smile on their faces." He mentioned, I shuddered now thinking about what Shizu and the others went through
Oh god, I hope Shizu isn't hurt
I was yanked out of my thoughts when Patron said to the group " ok, I think I got something" We turn out attention to him as he begins to tell the plan
" so our attack date is in one week, we need to know the building and its terrain. Me, Laura and Yuuto are going to scope it out." He announced, Laura seemed fine with it, unlike Yuuto
" w- what?! Why me? I can't d-do that!" He tried to keep his anxiety down, but it was no use. It was clear how scared he was. Luckily, Patron seemed to understand " Yuuto, it's ok. We'll be right there next to you, we won't let anything bad happen to us. Right Laura?" He growled and whispered the last part to her, hoping she would agree.
" well, we'll try, we don't know what we are facing so no promises." Apparently, she didn't get the message. A small thump and Laura crying out indicated me that Jack gave her the message a bit clearer.
" gah! Don't worry Yuuto, we'll be safe" she said through gritted teeth as she rubbed her foot, Jack snickering behind. Patron continues
" anywho, so me, Laura and Yuuto will check the area out, see where our friends are being held and hopefully, come up with more ideas as to how we are going to do this." He looked at the rest of the group, we all nodded in determination, but inside, I was terrified. Not just of what we will have to do in the future, but what Shizu and the others were going through.
" ok, the three of them will head out tomorrow, but the rest of us are going to continue training." Artemis announced, Patron, Laura, Jack and Yuuto left our dorm. It was just me and Arty, standing in awkward silence.
" do you think we can do this?" I ask, I don't know if I was asking to see what his morale was, to ask what our odds were, or if I just wanted to break the silence, but he answered, turning to face me " in my opinion Rikku, I don't think it's a matter of if we can do it, but how we are going to do this. One way or another, we are going to get not just our friends, but our loved ones back. So what do you think, do you think we will have enough strength and knowledge to do so?" He finished, looking me dead in the eyes, right into my soul.
" well, I'm heading up to my room to get some work done and then go to bed, night Rikku" he called as he made his way up to his room. Instead of going to bed, I decided to go outside for a walk, there was a certain place I wanted to go.
I walked through the alleyways of the dorm buildings, twisting and turning until I came upon Shizu, Davis and Yuki's dorm building, discovering the trampoline at the bottom. I smiled to myself as I climbed onto it and began jumping, going higher and higher until I could see inside Shizu's room. Their room was still the same, red and blue pattern, same couch, everything. I made a few more jumps before I leaped for the ledge of their patio, struggling to keep my balance as I landed on my feet.
I pulled myself together and quietly went inside, going to the couch. As I sat, all the memories of the times With Shizu played in my mind
" you mean a lot to me, I don't know what I would do without you"
" such a cutie"
" we'll have each other's backs, no matter what"
My smile faded as I thought more about them. I could barely stand the fact that they could be hurt, or worse. Soon, all these terrible ideas of what those villains were doing to them plagued my mind. I felt myself go into another PTSD attack, my heart rate skyrocketing, my vision going blurry as the vision of my father invaded my mind. I fell to the ground and began to pant, I tried to think about something else, anything to end this nightmare that was playing through my head.
Breath Rikku, think about the others, Artemis, Yuuto, Jack, Clover, Davis, Patron, Laura.
My heart began to subside, allowing my mind to clear itself as I stood up.
I decided to head back for the night, before I drew and unwanted attention. As I stood at the edge of the patio ledge, a thought prayed in my mind
