Chapter 8 - Going back to the older days

I think shino and Artemis are going to be the main povs in the story, but I will add other views

Shino's P.O.V
After the conversation with Artemis, I was going crazy with concern and worry

I don't trust this, there has to be more to the picture than an old friend trying to reconnect with Artemis. I can't let him get hurt, if he does, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself.

Suddenly my phone pinged as I received a text from Kiyo

Kiyo: time to come to an agreement - we will meet at the old base

Oh god

I thought we were going to drop this but apparently not! This is the last thing I wanted to do, not just to me, but to the other people in my life, to the one I love the most.

Shino: why should I come?

I know the text might have sounded a bit harsh but I'm kind of tired of this

Kiyo: there have been rumors of another attack

Wait what

Shino: what do you mean another attack?!

Kiyo: we don't know, that's why we are having another meeting

I sigh to myself, suddenly, Blake's reasons becoming reality.

Shino: ok fine! I'll be there

I couldn't believe I was about to do this, but I can't just sit here and watch another villain attack happen

Artemis P.O.V

I was filled with excitement, terror, happiness, confusion, and so many other emotions as I approached the ice skating rink. There, standing perfectly still was a young man, about a year older than me, Black hair, pale face, leather jacket, but what caught my eye was his pure white eyes, his quirk.

I smiled and waved at him, a smirk on his lips as I skated out to meet him " Patron?!" I almost squealed, it had been almost 7 years since I had seen him, and now here he is, standing right in front of me, alive and breathing

" hello old friend, how have you been" he tried to keep his emotions down as he stared at me, tears brimming his eyes " you know you can't hide your emotions from me, come on bring it in!" I wrapped him in a large bear hug, and soon he hugged me back. I could hear small sniffles coming from him and to be honest, I almost cried to. Finally we pulled away

" Artemis Divil, my long lost brother in arms" Patron announced, allowing his emotions to leak through his mental shield " how have you been! I have got to hear everything you have been up to. but first, let's see what you remember." He smirked again and started skating backwards, urging me to join him in the sport we use to love. I laughed and began to skate with him, doing old moves and telling stories. Together, we laughed and cried as we danced on the ice, as brothers.

Shino's P.O.V

Once it was dark out, I walked through the woods, heading to the old shed where the base was. Once at the entrance, I thought for a moment

I shouldn't be doing this, I resigned from being a vigilante and I'm just going to get myself into more chaos

Suddenly the hatch opened and Jack's head popped up " ah Shino! Good to see you decided to come, get down here, we need to talk"
